Has anybody encountered the following problem with the CD-ROM:

After playing FIFA99 for 1 hour or more, I get the device error message and takes me back to Windows; or I get a blue screen reading that the disk in CD ROM may be dirty or something. Even though my device has worked properly with other games, it seems with FIFA99 I always get some problems.

I close all programs in the background and leave systray and explorer runing. My game keeps using the CD-ROM constantly. Is this suppose to happen.

I love this game more than any other.

Just a thought, but I heard that there may be a program you can get that will allow you to run fifa99 without having the CD in the player. Sorry, not sure what that program is called, but maybe someone else knows the name of this and where to get a hold of it.
And yes I agree with you that this game is awesome.

The no cd-rom for fifa 99 is available, unfortunately I don't know the site but I know a man who does, E mail James Whitmore and say that Steven Wilson gave you his address. it is jameswhitmore_99@yahoo.com

He downloaded this patch last week, so should know the site

1) Wash the cd. It won't damage it honestly.

if that doesn't work.

2) reinstall the game
