I think this should answer your question

OK, in the career mode to buy players you have to go to the transfer market, once you've selected the player you want to buy you have to highlight him. Once he's highlighted just press the select button and it'll bring up the player bio.

Now, by pressing select button you can place a bid for the player.

you can only sell players if a team wants it, and u are in JANUARY, OR THE SUMMER. that is the only time the transfer window is open

Also, if you really are trying to get rid of a player but want to get some money off of him then add him to your "Release list". Usually this will spark interest from other clubs, and you'll end up with the big bucks

Hope this helps you!

but you've got a transferbudget, but it says that it will affect your 'prestige points' too, what do the prestige points have to do with it?

if you dont have enough prestige points, you cant finalize a trade. You should always have enough points for at least on trade a week (even if you just started with 1000 points) It should be easy enough. First clear all the player training, and then cancel team training. You should be left with quite a bit of points.
The prestige budget is their because it stops you from trying to get a certain player for an absolute minimum (because it limits the amount of offers you can make) I think it helps the game quited a bit.

How do you get prestige points? By winning your carreer goals only? Or are there other manners for it too?:)
