and the more I play the faults I see ....


latest , Shot from outside the box the AI Keeper leaps but doesn't get near it, the ball hit the ball and drops onto the goalline. the keeper is lying about a yard off the goal-line back to the ball , my forward is on the line of the 6yrd box, and I press forward with the analog stick to make him move forward to the ball and knock it in!

My forward doesn't move he stays still (analog stick Dpad) nothing will make him move, the keeper gets up turns around and dives on the ball ....


AGAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGG!


No matter what I tried my highlighted player would not move to the loose ball....


Same with 50-50 ball , ball into the box my forward is about a yards or so off the ball , the keeper 2! I hit A btton to slide ..nothing I hit it again and again nad again until the ball is close to the keeper and he drops on it ....

NOT In MY BOOK , if you can or the AI wil not let you move to a loose ball on the goaline with the ball about a yard or so behind him , and he has not made a move to it ..


and the other , ball into the box my forward running on to it , the keeper coming out .. and I hit the slide button and it will not work no matter how many times I hit it !! and the play rolls on until the keeper picks it up ...........

you can press r1+r2 to get yer player out of that static state and then perform your action.

no thats not true at all. You can't do anything in those situations mentioned by the threadstarter. I have noticed these things to and supercancel doesn't work. Its a annoying thing, but pes is still the best football game out there.

I never said Pes3 was not the best there is , but it has its faults!

I am not %rap at the game , but things like this annoy me I know the CPU cheats but for me that just mean lack of AI proggraming. If the AI was really that good defence.attack then the CPU would not built in cheats to win/score.

And as for FIFA I had them all, but as PES until this year was not on PC I made do , but then again if you took away the build in cheats ( I might be wrong , but I am sure I have read that Kteam owned up to them ) then would that mean just like FIFA you would have big wins against the CPU?

I am a fan , and will now buy only PES but if I see faults as I see them then Ive paid my money and have a right to a say!

Does the cheating by the CPU ? not mean that the AI is not up to scratch? Does the CPU cheats cover up faults in the AI?

When pressing a direction + R1 + R2 and still your player won't move, only a f*cking moron would believe that practising more would aliviate the problem.

Firstly this game is not a sim, if it were we would be playing 90 min game with scorelines of 1-0 or 2-0. Tho this has nothing really to do with you problem of losing control of a player.

This is a bug, not a cpu cheat, not a moment of unrealism, simply a bug. This same bug happens many times in multiplayer - does that mean my fellow human is cheating when my player stops for no reason? no its a bug.

The fact you played the game for "Best Part of a Year Now" should mean you are used to these bugs (yes there are many more) and enjoy the game for what it is (best pc football game available), and just look forward to pes4.

Who cares about the bugs in FIFA? That ain't no excuse for having bugs in PES3. Holy ****, maybe it is. Let's ask KONAMI. :rolleyes: PES is da king. They spend most of their time polishin the gameplay instead of graphics & buyin licences. This game ain't suppoused to have no bugs and people have every right to complian about whereever they want. No **** like that suppousta happen in da king of all sport simulations. So, why do people go crazy when they find 1 bug in this game, again?

Time of the month perhaps?.

I sorta used to think that it was a bug, now I think it's probably more a result of the particular player you are controlling. Better players stretch out more for passes, shots etc, especially if they aren't tired. Try playing with poorer players, they do this alot, just slower reactions to the ball etc. To me it's a feature.

graphics are actually better in PES3 mate. The player animation e.g. Beckham and Giggs taking set pieces like they do in real life is far better too. So it's not just gameplay;)

I think if you just go and play Fifa, check out the AI in that game and then you will appreciate what an amazing job Konami have done, the game is not perfect, but its a lot closer to perfect than any other footy games.

I don't think I have touched my Xbox version of Fifa 2004, since
getting PES 3 for PC.

I hope they make PES 4 a lot more editable and allow you to edit more of the team names and create more realistic leagues.

The commentary is one of the biggest let downs, they need a new commentary team.

I think the Free Kick system is better in Fifa than PES, and Konami should shell out for a few more licenses and have online Play.

Hopefully they will fix the AI bugs instead of in Fifa's case just fix one and add 2 others in its place.

I love to see the kids bash each other so funny that im laughing...
