View Full Version : How much money did Lazio's president pay to the director of serie A?
Zambrotta 14-05-2000, 08:26:PM Quit whining. Collina is the best Ref in the world - he did what he had to do. Suppose Juve won; would you care then?
They got what they deserved, because they played in 9 all season. These 2 freaks upfront are everything but valuable additions to a team which wants to win the title. Props to Montero, Van der Sar and Davids for making 2nd place. More would have been a hoax.
If Inzaghi were that great striker you called him he would have scored at least a goal today - that volley in the 2nd half was ridicolous. Juve better try to get Batistuta or they'll suck up front next year again...
Zambrotta 15-05-2000, 01:52:AM By the way - who is the "director" of the Serie A? I always thought it was Luciano Moggi...
PolishPower 15-05-2000, 06:06:AM Agreed, It would have been more of a scandal if the game got called, the pitch was very bad, but I remember Parma playing on an awful pitch begging of season and that game didn't get called.
Paolo_Rossi 15-05-2000, 06:22:AM Its really sad ,the game in perugia should of not taken place ,the field was in terrible condition, dont get me wrong,Calori's goal was a good one and Zambrotta did deserver the red card ,but my point is if you saw the Juve-perugia game, you would of notice that in Juve territory ,the field was practicly nice and dry ,but in Perugia's side was like a lake ,no players could of contral the ball .Another thing is that board of director of serie A was in Rome and he could of easily called off the match to be replayed another day ,but no ,he had to say game on ,RAI even mentioned that the rules are that if a field is not in good condition to play after 45 minutes of waiting then the game should be called off ,it 1 hour and 15 minutes to start the 2nd half .WHAT A SCANDAL!!!!!I guess Lazio's president paid a big sum of money to that bastard .The commentators all agreed that game should of have been replayed and fixed to another date ,if you dont beleive me ,i suggest you to watch Lazio-Reggina game .
juvegoose 15-05-2000, 09:15:AM This is the reason the Serie A is no longer what it once was. It is now full of corruption, and I'm sure this weekend, it was someone higher up than Collina.......in fact, it appeared Collina did not want to restart the game because of the poor conditions. He even took the ball out onto the field and kicked it around a few times to show it wasnt travelling properly. Yet a "higher power", no doubt influenced by the words (and more than likely, funds [or gold watches]) of Lazio officials, ordered the game to go ahead, even if it was a severe disadvantage to Juventus. Juve did not deserve this, we deserved the title because we played better consistently all season than Lazio. But that's not the point.
It is not so much the loss of the title that angers me however, because im used to it now...ive seen Juve lose many times before in big matches (Champions league finals and semi's to be exact). It is the circumstances that surround the loss......the words of Cragnotti during the week no doubt influenced the decisions of higher ranking officials. I can admit that the Parma goal that was disallowed last week was a dubious decision; however, two wrongs dont make a right, and the circumstances surrounding the resuming of the Perugia game when it was clear the field was unplayable show that an attempt was made to appease the Lazio fans and officials by putting Juventus at a disavantage. I, as an Australian-Italian, was once very proud of the Italian league, as it WAS clearly a cut above the rest. The goings-on of the last few weeks however, have begun to show that the Italian federation has lost control, and what was once the strongest league in Europe continues to follow the road to Farce-ville.
Paolo_Rossi 15-05-2000, 03:21:PM Who said that i was against Collina,I think he did a good job,the only problem is that he wanted to call the match off,but that bastard of director of serie A was in Rome watching the Lazio-Reggina match ,well that bastard called collina saying to let game play on ,so clearly it wasnt collina's fault .The ball didnt even bounce on the field that how bad the pitch was .
+edmundo 15-05-2000, 04:08:PM excuse me
the pitch was bad for both teams, it was 11 vs 11 .. and Perugia scored.. thats futebol
well done SS Lazio - uz deserve it
p.s: Lazio would be wise to use Salas in all their crucial Champions League games next season.. and not as a late sub.
Various Styles 15-05-2000, 07:41:PM La vita e piena di sbagli !!!
Paolo_Rossi 15-05-2000, 09:52:PM Did you see the game? You would of seen in Juventus side of the pitch ,the field was not that bad ,but in perugia it was awfull,it was like a lake ,the were some parts where the ball would slide very quick and there was some part that the ball would just get stuck on the field .Btw ,even the roman commentators agreed that game should of not taken place .
Woody_007 15-05-2000, 10:47:PM Paolo_Rossi:
"You would of seen in Juventus side of the pitch, the field was not that bad, but in Perugia's it was awfull, it was like a lake, the were some parts where the ball would slide very quick and there was some part that the ball would just get stuck on the field."
I do not even know where to begin to say what is wrong with that statement. First off, for a team that is supposed to be the best in Italy, they certainly showed they weren't. Championship teams can win on the road. No offense to Perugia, but they are not Inter or Lazio or Roma or Milan or Fiore. They are beatable at home. A team like Juve should have overcome that obstacle and won the game. Lazio overcame a lot of adversity to win the Scudetto, thus they proved they should be Champions of Italy. Second ..... how is it that Juve's half of the field was in better condition than the opposing's half??? Is the stadium tilted?? Did it rain only on one side of the field?? Was it a giant conspiracy that not only included the bribing of officals, but the weather as well??? geeez .... YOU LOST! GET OVER IT! When Barca lost, I did not post anything here saying that they where screwed out of the CL Final. Or saying that Valencia sucks or Madrid sucks (but I do still hate them). If Juve where good enough to win, they would have won, but since Lazio won, then they are the best. End of story. Grow up and accept the fact that Juve lost.
Woody_007 15-05-2000, 10:49:PM BTW ..... Zambrotta: With VanGaal on his way out and Nunez's impending resignation, I do not think Rivaldo will be going anywhere. Well .... I hope so anyway.
I THINK JARDEL SHOULD COME TO BARCA!! AND BATIGOL TOO!!
Zambrotta 15-05-2000, 11:18:PM Paolo Rossi: you are a stupid no-brainer.
Yes, Perugia's half was terrible, while Juve's half was top-notch.
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH - thank you for giving me one of the best laughs of my life.
Maybe you should contact Juventus and tell them your observation. I am sure that this will hold strong against anybody anywhere...!!!!
Zambrotta 16-05-2000, 06:44:AM Salas will go either Inter or Juve. Expect someone big for Lazio...BIG like Vieri, Batistuta or Rivaldo!
juvegoose 16-05-2000, 09:30:AM Zambrotta, Woody, Edmundo, if u had any sense, u would see the corruption in Serie A...........the match should have been called off at half time, but because some big official from Lazio called someone big from the Italian federation, Juventus were forced to play in terrible circumstances, and definately did not have the same chance to win their respective match as Lazio had to win theirs.
If u cant see any of that because of ur stupid, one-eyed, juventus-hating nature, well i feel sorry for you.
btw, good luck to Italy for Euro...they will need it....after all, the federation cant bribe the organisers of Euro 2000 can they?
Kewell the Jewell 16-05-2000, 02:30:PM Im not exactly sure of the circumstances of when it rained so if it rained at half time then i stand corrected
but the teams swap sides at half time....
Schumacher 16-05-2000, 07:03:PM Juvegoose - when there were allegations of corruption against Juve last week, why didn't you claim there was corruption then? Sour grapes, perhaps?
PolishPower 17-05-2000, 11:02:PM Ok for you who said the match should have been called. Are you people crazy? Do you realize the outrage and cries of fix would follow if they called the match at half-time? They could never ever call that match and if there was a mistake it was Collina halting the game at half-time. And you can't treat it like any other match it is the last game of the season to decide the championship, if you have to play in monsoon after half thats what you have to do.
juvegoose 18-05-2000, 05:06:AM so Polish, you are saying that because it was the last game of the season, and a title decider, Juventus had to play in circumstances where they clearly had a disadvantage just so the title could be decided.......sounds fair to me.....NOT
it doesn't matter what stage of the season it is, the rules are there for a reason.....they should be consistent....title decider or not, the match should have been called off at half-time
Paolo_Rossi 18-05-2000, 05:44:AM Whatever ,Lazio won that damn scudetto ,but im sure they will get their ass kicked in next year's champions league like this year .
Zambrotta 18-05-2000, 06:59:AM At least the did better than Juve in the UEFA cup...
Various Styles 18-05-2000, 08:47:AM Of course the Italian Federation can bribe to win the Euro !!! All Uefa wants is $$$... A gold watch here another one there !!! foRza Italia Mafiosi !!!

Paolo_Rossi 18-05-2000, 04:03:PM So Zambrotta ,you r trying to say that no italian team is gonna go far in next year's champions league .
Woody_007 18-05-2000, 05:40:PM juvegoose: I see the corruption in Serie A. Now ...... becuase they did not call the game off, which would have been for the benefit of which team??? JUVENTUS???, they are corrupt? Because Juventus LOST, and the official did not call the match off, they are corrupt. Becuase Perugia SCORED and Juventus DID NOT, the officials are corrupt.
ARE YOU SEEING A PATTERN HERE??? HEY BUDDY, AND ALL THE OTHER WHINING COMPLAINING JUVENTUS FANS, IT WAS 11 on 11. Juventus had just as much an opportunity to score as Perugia did. Juve did not, Perugia did, and because Juve could not CREATE something, and put the ball in the back of the net, the officials in Serie A get blamed. If Juventus had won the game, I bet you and all the other Juventus fans I know would not be complaining like you are now ..... but then again ..... I am sure you disagree.
Congradulations Lazio.
OH and by the way ..... why would the officials from Lazio call and bribe the Italian officials?? So Juve would lose??? Why did they delay the start of the second half in Lazio?? The games were started at the same time for a reason loser. No one can predict weather perfectly. I guess the officials from Lazio also put in a call to Mother Nature at halftime and bribed her too??? Maybe next year they will have an earthquake so Juve will lose?? A TORNADO PERHAPS?? Sore Losers.

Paolo_Rossi 19-05-2000, 06:30:AM Lazio won that damn scudetto ,but at least Juve is going to the champions league ,something that ive been waitng for for a year especially knowing that Fabian O'neill is coming to Juve ,you Uruguayan fans should know him, many said that he's an excellent midfield .Btw,why wasnt Tacchinardi called for italy in euro2000?I would rather have Tacchinardi than Conte in the national and why is Di Livio also called up in then national when he hasnt played for the national in more than a year ?
Zambrotta 19-05-2000, 06:34:AM When did I say that? How can I talk about next year when teams will change?
You just can't talk **** about Lazio while giving props to Juve, as Lazio was better in any single competition. See, they won the Italian Cup.
Juve and Lazio both had really 1 bad game this year in Europe, and Lazio lost to one of Europe's best teams of the the moment.
Their only problem this year was scoring, but next year with Rivaldo or Batistuta or Vieri or with God knows who they'll be even better.
And for di Livio: he had a fantastic year, can play 3 positions and is a real leader. I also wanted to see Tacchinardi, but for Dino Baggio.
