Has anyone seen the preview? I saw it when i went to see Hellboy, it looks AMAZING....but Kate Bekensale looks even better. :p

yeah, it looks pretty interesting. Not too excited though.

Anyways sounds like a great movie and the trailler rocks, but anything with ghosts, vampires, werewolfs i am not watch. The Ring and Dawn of the Dead is enough to have **** sleeps for half a year to me. And especially when they are all together.

I just saw it last night.
A bit dissappointing, not enough fighting and Kate usually gets hit rather than make the punch.
Hugh was good, played his role well.
But the jokes and clumsyness of the scientist dude, was out of context, and shouldn't be so.

8/10.

I disagree, and I cant beleive this, but Moron was right :( :p the movie sucks (N)

just saw it. really bad. the dialogue was horrible. the actors speaking were a disaster and all that action was super fake.
I mean, van helsing's getting hurt all the time and surviving is understandable, but kate beckinsale? she was throw against walls and falled from peaks numerous times and she was always ok.
again, really bad.

Ive read some stuff about The Day After Tomorrow and its looking really good (Y)

I just got back from the theatre.... Van Helsing wasn't a bad movie...it's just missing sth to make it more interesting.... IMO Underworld was way better than this one..... the fight at the end was IMO not that good....just jumping around a lot..

I saw the preview of "Riddick" and it looks awesome...hopefully the movies itself will be as good as the preview...LOL

I'm going to see Troy next week.... should be good coz I like greek/roman mythologies and stuff..... :rockman:

saw the movie... it made frankenstein look like a loser.. kate beckinsale is hot... lots of action.. with some confusing parts.. and some parts that aren't possible.. kinda of a disappointment..

Seen Van Helsing tonight. I thought it was ok, i knew i was really looking forward to seeing it, but now im not sure why. There are some good one liners in there and its a very atmospheric movie with some great special effects. But the whole movie in general didnt grab me. Its still definately a movie worth checking out none-the-less.

yeah, I mean, Hulk had some great comic book moments, and it was loyal to its sources, this thing combines dracula, the werewolf and frankenstein (oh yeah, and dr. jeckill and mr. hyde :|) and they dont explain much. I mean, we knew they were all there in the movie but they could've explain a bit more.

and comparing it to hulk, both had some terrible final battles in the end. very confusing cgi action :(


oh, and I picked up in another forum the reason why van helsing could take so much attacks and pain, Angel Gabriel Van Helsing was the right hand of God, so its understandable that he's inmortal, but kate beckinsale was a normal woman in there and she took as much attacks as van helsing and still she was ok after it. very unrealistic.

Just went and saw this movie tonight, and I must say that I really liked it. Yeah, the plot wasn't the greatest and there were some unrealistic parts, but I loved the action and it had my attention for the whole 2+ hours.

On another note, Kate Beckinsale has one of the most beautiful faces that I have ever seen.

I liked the movie alot, I thought the effects and scenes were really awesome, almost as powerful as LOTR. I never read a book about it or anything so I can't comment on the story. But generally I think it's a great movie. :p
