Hi there...

In Fifa 2004 there is a new control called "Off the ball". Basicly, there are 3 ways to control players without the ball...

1) You can hit L1 and the nearest player will start running so you can pass him the ball when ever you think is the right time - which is something that I always use...

2) You can hit L2 and control 3 players - I use it but not so often, but I still want it...

3) You can hold L1 and one player will move to the direction of the right analog stick - I really do not care about this...

Does anybody know if we will have these modes in Euro 2004? I really like "Off the ball" and I don't see why EA can stop it...

I don't really think they will put "off the ball" in the game. Every year they seem to add something new to the game and take out some kind of dribbling control or something.

Remember in FIFA 2003, if you moved the right anolog stick to one side, the player would then knock the ball even further infront of him.

But I don't know. Possibly...

OTB was a good improvement and they need to keep it.

I didn't like it that much. :p

I never played FIFA 2004 long enough to learn how to use it. So hopefully EA gives me a reason to stick around and learn it....

yeah, otb is back, on one of the screenshots i saw where it shows you the controls, it said remote reciever (otb) So yes!!

If you go to that adress (on this forum labled new screenshots and review) you will see on the first post two adresses, click on the 2n'd one. On the top of the page you will go to you will see the word screenshots, click it. You will get a list of numbers, click on 77 and you will see it. I couldn't find the one with the ps2 controller, but that proves otb is in it too. Hope it helps, and that you could understand me!:crazyboy:

I just hope players are faster. and make it so it isnt so easy to steal the ball and get the ball stolen. Players like Henry should be able to make longer runs even with out using freestyle control without getting it stolen. How it is now He cant run past anyone and they steal it like 2seconds immediately.

And yeah, i hope that the stats will actually show a little more in this game.
