View Full Version : Just to clear it up....about Regens.
Kulixs 19-04-2004, 04:28:AM So does every retired player become a Regen? Cus Canizares retired, and i couldnt find a regen of him. And when they do become a regen, does it happen straight away? Cus Ole Soljskaer is gonna retire after this season, and i want his regen, but im on small database, so will he become a regen?
Ebonix 19-04-2004, 05:32:AM Yes, they always have a regen. It doesn't always happen straight away, you just have too look and look and look too find the players regen and sometimes your lucky when they just get promoted from your youth team

he'll only regenerate in your club if you're really lucky...
most probably he'll regenerate in another club... for foreign players they'll probably regen at their own countries

danza108 19-04-2004, 07:25:AM i have a question, what if i have signed them into the coaching staff, say as physios or coaches, will there be regens of them?

not sure about that... second nationalities for example would only be the same in say... Hargreaves, Seedorf cases, but not in Cudicini's...
what I'm trying to say is it won't be the same if the player got his second nationality after playing X years in some country
once again, I'm not sure about it... someone might have a better explanation

Nope, I signed big Peter Schmeichel as an assistant manager after he retired in CM4 after 2 seasons of him being my right hand man, one of my scouts made a big fuss about a Danish keeper playing for Bronby. I then used my regen finder to unveil the new Peter Schimeichel
Parra Power 19-04-2004, 06:49:PM do regens have to be same position?

Yep, The things they keep are Potential Ability, Position and Nationality.
Zlatan 19-04-2004, 08:28:PM Well I'm still looking for Seaman's regen hope I find him some day
didnt the Regen post by Cody explain all this?
TROD.
Zlatan 20-04-2004, 10:06:PM well most of it but it didn't say if the regen appeared immediatly or after a period of time
Ebonix 20-04-2004, 10:41:PM I think this is a fair enough thread. Regens are still a bit of a unknown subject in CM. Nobodys ever written a definitive guide on it and most of what I have posted is for personal experience
oh i wasnt saying close it! if it has good discussion then there is NO need to close it, just making a point

PSVFOREVER 21-04-2004, 02:48:AM yeah
Ebonix 21-04-2004, 05:08:AM Should do. I suppose it does add some randomness too the game cause if they have a second nationality they could play for the second nationality when they become a regen
Parra Power 21-04-2004, 08:45:AM is there a regen check thing for 0304.......... i just found a really good italian gk regen and i wanna check who it is (pagliuca i think :S)
I remember there was one for 0102 in a save game editor..... I don't know about any for 0304.
Parra Power 21-04-2004, 01:31:PM aye....havent found one either :(
if it is a pagliuca regen, then i'll have a dude coaching his own regen (H)

Go for it, I always go over the top with youth keepers. I'll have my first team keeper (some one like Saja) then I'll have 3 other youth keepers who i'm training up.
lol... I just have 1 good GK in the youth team. It's usualy enough :p
Parra Power 21-04-2004, 06:55:PM hehe.... nah, i got roy carroll as my #1 and after him i got a 23 year old that doesn't look like he's getting anywhere... so im buying this guy anyway (H)
try looking on CMscout at his potential, then load CMscout up on one of your earlier games, and check which GOOD keepers have exactly the same potential.
worth a shot. :)

Nice idea, cause the nationality should really seal it. :)
