Come on people. I know you might find it hard to mutter the words, but you've got to admit that this game isn't THAT bad. It provides some enjoyment, the game is completely different to FIFA 2004 and anyone who states otherwise is either lazy or.....blind?

After playing around seven games, I can say that, at the moment this is the best fifa game ever made. It really is quite close to the real game. I won't compare this to PES because it's quite clear that EA have different things in mind and we all know that. No matter what we say, EA will always create FIFA with the words "easy to pick up" in mind. They aren't focused on producing a football simulation like Konami are, they're simply bothered about producing a sports game that players can get some enjoyment out of. And at the moment, I'm certainly enjoying it.

I completely agree with you. Euro 2004 is much better than FIFA 2004. A lot of thing are improved and I think it really is the best FIFA game ever. ENJOY!!!

I agree with you to Tom. Some people are really don't have any brains I believe. The game is better than FIFA 2004.

I agree too man, the game is much better than Fifa 2004, but they didn't work hard to produce it, just improved fifa 2004.

I played PES and it was better then all the previous Fifas, but Euro 2004 kicks its ass allover, no comparison.

how many times pes is about 4 years old now fella and i doubt ea will reach the standards of that in the next ten years.konami have improved the series since then .

Unfair I think not , I have just played the extend demo and the ball at time took on ballon like qualities, and the animation both of players and ball were not that good. At times the ball seemed to flow along the grass even hit at speed, it did not feel like you were in total control of the player or your passes.

The motion of the ball did not seem true, I seen the AI hit balls about and the way the ball moved you think it was little rubber and full of water.

I had bought FIFA title for years from the very 1st one until 2003, I stopped this year. And what I have seen of this demo andthe Fifa 2004, Fifa 2004 as bad as I thought that was this is worse.

I know people will say Ah but this is just a demo! No, it more than that, EA as I have been told time and time again do not release beta code, like Fifa2004 this as EA themself say is a Demonstration of the game. Basically what you see is what you get.

If you like it fair enough , thats peoples right but for me its not that good.

I am FULLY CONFIDENT that you have never played a game of PES in your life!

Players standing like monkeys? The body frames in PES/WE are lightyears ahead of FIFA. FIFA's body models look like ET crossed with a 3rd degree burns victim. The jerseys are so awful you can't even make out the badges properly. Except for the close up cut scenes which are basically movies and not part of the gameplay, the players look and move no better in Euro 2004 than they did in FIFA 2000.

"Space like" gameplay proves beyond a shadow of a doubt you've never played PES. The physics of the ball and players in PES/WE are realistic. In FIFA, as even the FIFA fans have pointed out before, either moves like a melon or a helium balloon depending on the situation in the game. The ball travels at light speed and then slows down inexplicably while in the air like it has jet-thrust brakes attached to it. The ball bounces higher when it drops from a small height than from a large height at times. Players can stop and change direction 180 degrees without any slowdown whatsoever and kick the ball just as hard towrds the goal instantly while facing the worng way as when they are running with hte ball and striking it.

If you want to "up" Euro 2004 at least be honest. Everybody on here can tell you've never touched PES in your life. If you had you wouldn't talk such BS. Preferring a game is one thing, talking BS about another game you've pretended to play just makes you look like a dork but then you're probably too young to figure that out.

To quote you from another thread "Well done EA, now just finish up and release this bad boy so I can buy my 1st ever soccer game!"! Then in another thread you say "After being severly disappointed by all the previous Fifas and such, and forced to move to PES I can finally say EA whooped Konami in every which way." You don't even realise that you reveal your own lies!!!!

AT THE MOMENT, yes no doubt euro2004 are better than fifa2004 a lot more. but in term of football simulation, i think EA are trying to do so but not KONAMI. you sit down in front of pc, playing games and relax yourself, you need a good gameplay, graphics and a game that look like a "game" but not football simulation. if you like a football simulation, just move your ass, go to play real football.

KONAMI did a very good job in "games". when you sit down and play it, it is enjoyable but not boring and frustrated. "monkey move" and "space like" i think is much more better than 100% accurate passing by off the ball. thierry henry speed just like a slow defender. and even can score from 30 yards easily and keeper just like a stupid (i mean all this in FIFA sine that EURO 2004 haven't release the final product, so i don't judge it)

that is nothing bad that EA trying to make football simulation game but seriously said....they failed..
