What are the controls to do special moves such as nutmegs for keyboard or a game pad?

yeah, i was wondering about this too, until i found out. Special moves are done by holding the shift key and pushing arrow keys. I found that holding the shift key and pointing the arrow keys towards the defender will sometimes get you a nutmeg. Other than that it seems random, i hope not though.
Can someone confirm if it is random??
