This thread is for all the people who want boots and want to learn how to make an own pack!

NOTE:

This is important:
Here is the list of which boots are SG (Soft Ground) and FG (Firm Ground) [FOR P E S 3 P C ! ! !]
- It's different in WE7:I because there are only three editable boots!!

Just a small request pleassseeee.
Can u make an exchange between the Vapor 2 and the AZT2 in the editable ones cause i have WE7I and only 3 editable slots.
I'm waiting for ur pack cause i've edited my game with ur last downloadable bootpack and i prefer to have vapor2 in the same place as the Vapor1 was.

for WE7...the 0, 1, and 2 slots dont matter cuz i can edit them myself, only preference is vapor2 at the first slot

I think we should have the coloured bitmaps pictures of the boots and then teach people how to insert boots into other palettes. Much simpler... than waiting weeks for boot packs. Like today i added Valentino's Total 90 3 in my personal pack. It took me 10 minutes!

well I know how to make own bootpack, I just don't have textures (colorized textures) boots I mentioned in my request for Dominik

Slot 4 - Adidas Predator Mania Gold SG - I haven't seen Gold version
Slot 5 - Nike Air Zoom Total 90 III - this is non-editable version, I don't have a texture too
Slot 6 - Adidas Predator Mania Lunar FG - I have it
Slot 7 - Adidas F50 white-blue SG - don't have
Slot 8 - Adidas F50 white-black SG - don't have

so, if someone want to fulfil requests, no probs, let him do this :rockman:

and not every PES player is or even want to be a patch/kits/boots maker

i don't know how to make my own bootpack i posted bitmaps over the old boots in the game but then they turned out all weird so i gave up i only have paint aswell so i can'd do a great job, that's why i requested a bootpack here

Scott I agree with this because i dont think to this day anyone has posted a step by step on how to actually make a bootpack. Sure Jim has given tips here and there in different threads ...but much of is is unclear in the grand scheme of actually making it work. Jim was able to do it himself i believe with no help but i believe he already had knowledge of pallettes and graphical programs. Anyway a step by step on what you did would be great scott.

For PES3 PC, other games its similar but you may have to use different proggies with slightly different steps.
There is a screenshot for steps 1-7.

1. Open an instance of WE&PES Graphic Studio:

2. Import your AFS [X:\Program Files\KONAMI\data\data_(letter of language).afs usually] , navigate your way to ur boot file and drag the boot image that you want to add a different boot into.

3. Right click drag the first palette file on top of the boots.

4. Right click on the now coloured boots and choose save place the file temporarily on the desktop or something.

5. Open the file in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro and minimize.

6. Get the coloured bitmap of the picture and paste into the required slot, the program automatically fixes the boot to fit the palette, to get the coloured bitmap from a .bin file see my next tutorial. (BTW, if some colours do not exist it will use the nearest colour, ex.. valentinos total 90 3 changed from blue to grey in the palette, i prefer it this way) Now Save the file .bmp under a new name. (You may edit the boot colours with colours from the palette before saving, some colours like R: 2 G: 2 B: 2, may turn to 0, 0, 0 (transparent) if the colour doesnt exist in the pack, this happens in the example above and some of the boot turns tranparent near the bottom where the black sides bits come up.

7. Open the bmp in Graphic Studio and drag back onto the slot where it came from.

OMG I didn't think that there are so many people who want boots.
I have a suggestion: I will post all my .bmps of the boots and write a bootmaking/importing/palette tutorial so you can make boots yourself and I will make packs too... OKAY?

UPDATE: You can paste the coloured bitmaps into paint. This means you don't need any professional programs to get the boots you want as long as you have the bmp.

in that case use my method of making one large bmp with all the boots you want in your pack, then reduce that bmp to 256 colours save the palette and then split into 2 lots of 3 boots and apply the saved palette. That way all 6 use the same colours.

Make a 25% of the size bitmap to place into the gs file. If you drag the ee file bitmap into the editing area, right click, half rezise, no anti-aliased, then do it again and then swap to the gs file and drag onto the required slot. Very simple.

all are in PNG format, compression 9, there is no difference between them and BMP's but take less space; WEPicture Decoder supports it, for other tools just convert it to BMP

btw. there are new version of Graphic Studio available, fixed some annoying bug with random crashing when import some photoshop textures and added some interesting features

It is very interesting you can have nine fixed boots! In theory it is very simple. I put fixed .bmp in first boot slot, i then replaced the black palette with a fixed palette, in game i set all the colours to black and tada! It works!

in my bootpack I've put palette of all 9 boots into 4th and 5th slot but it require manually setting each color of boots to "1" so in final version palette SHOULD BE in each palette slot (4-12) so you won't have to change any color to see your boots properly

A possible upside is the ability to have upto 8 palettes just for the editable boots that are fixed so you could make boots with 2048 different colours.

I would left only Vapors and Air Zoom II, now I don't have ANY one player who wears ugly noneditable something with wrong colors (set by default by Konami to all black)

You could merge the palettes by using the different colour options. There are 8 different colour palettes each 256colours = 2048

Mayor: Wouldn't you need white for the nike tick and such etc..

i'm probably missing something blindingly obvious here but i would appreciate some help please!

right the thing is i'm trying to put in the yelow/black f50's i cut them i paste them over the 1st non editable adidas in the game (silver ones) thwey import fine go to game go to boots the boots have sort of a red sprinkling on them i did everything the guide on page 3 said i think it might be something to do with the palette but to be rather honest i don't know what this is (well sort of) saome more info

i drag and drop the set into we graphic studio and then drag the first palette onto the boots (right click) i managed to put some editable total 90's over ther 4th editable slot and they look fine

please help i also managed to put pred pulse (black red) over the orginal black red preds

there probably isn't enough yellow in your original palette so it's replacing with nearest available colour.
You need to make a big bmp with all 6 boots (16 mil colours) then reduce to 256 and save the palette, then split to 2x3 and load the saved palette in each one

in my bootpack I've put palette of all 9 boots into 4th and 5th slot but it require manually setting each color of boots to "1" so in final version palette SHOULD BE in each palette slot (4-12) so you won't have to change any color to see your boots properly

sometimes it doesn't work but sometimes it works ;) worked for me last times
if GS crash, you can try Jim's method, create 1x1 pixel image, apply over it palette of all your boots in Photoshop and do the same as above in analogical way

if it won't work, you can try third way, just open your boot bin with WE Picture Decoder, then choose 4th slot (for noneditables) and Import ACT file with palette you extracted from all boots
if you want to have all 9 boots fixed, apply this palette over ALL palette files (4th to the end); then import it with GS or AFS Explorer/AFS Extract/whatever

i am getting really annoyed here i managed to insert f50's and total 90's into slowts 5 and 6 by putting the there palette file by right dragging into palette 4 in grpahic center i then wwent to the game and the pred pulse in slot 7 was all different colours when before it had been fine can someone give a tutorial that involved everything i need to do i would appreciate it a lot as i am really trying here so i don't have to sponge off other people but i am getting no-where!

you must click on "this" and download an editor from that site; with this editor you can set all 9 boots

open the *.bin file of the boots ... (*.ee and *.gs) ... export the textures ... delete the tongue (with photoshop or paintshop) ... and import the texture in the *.bin file ... it's fixed ...

I checked your tutorial, neither link works for me unfortunately, can anybody confirm it?

If you're gonna make next versions in future I would also add for it info that after rebuilding data.afs with Afs Explorer te game can crash; It happens often for many ppl, it's a bug surely so it's good to make a backup first and then try the same but with AFS Extract, it's little bit longer but much safer

if you had a dialog box which says smth about decreasing colors to fit into slot, you have to import it in traditional way, with WEPic Decoder and AFS Explorer/Extract and do modify reserved space

(if you use for example, ganxxter or wendetta patches it works perfectly coz they have rebuilded data_afs to bigger)

slots 1, 2, 3, 4 (slot 4 is where i have the final editable with the other two non-editables)... the non-edits are fine, as i said, i'm having problems with my editables!!!

've got 4 editable boots, and when i try to apply palettes to them, i get a fuzzy image!! what do i have to do to fix my editable boots.. do not apply any palette for your editable boots, just leave them in grayscale

I made the bootpack:

Editable:

1. Diadora
2. Total 90 II
3. Nike Vapour II
4. Pumas

Non-Editable:

1. Pred pulse black
2. Pred pulse silver
3. Total 90 III
4. Adidas F-50
5. Adidas World cup

But the vapours and pumas appear messed up in edit mode and in game. All the others are fine. Can anyone help? Thanks.

in his tutorial is written and shown that boots are different only in studs part, so just cut studs from we7:i boot texture and paste over studs in pes3 boot texture; all boot textures are in this thread
btw. boots from we7:i works with pes3 too and vice versa but they has too long or no studs if you don't change studs to correct

20 posts above I posted screen from graphic studio, on this screen you can see one studs type in both preds and another in diadora - I didn't change diadora studs to the same as preds studs so in game I have no studs in diadora boots - simply

you need to rexport the messed up (greyscale) bmp from graphic studio then reimport the greyscale puma and then add the boots back via GS, you have already sorted the palette so don't need the colours.

@CardiffFan: you had wrong grayscale of your Nike II and Puma, here you got proper textures:

for gs textures just right click on each boot texture and choose "Half Resized -> No Antialiased" and drag&drop over small boots textures slots

but... studs are incorrect, if you want to fix it you have to cut studs from one of PES3 boot texture and paste over all WE7:I boot textures (or vice versa if you wanted it for WE7:I - I didn't know it)

PS. it's interesting that in EdIt Mode -> boot selection screen studs look fine, but when game shows all player, his studs are or too long or too short

Thanks Mayor. I will correct the studs later. I made another pack using different pumas and they worked fine, but the vapours didn't. Strange thing is all the studs looked correct in game.

I'm having problems with transparency and I've read the threads above and still am struggling.

I have sorted the pallettes out but they just come out invisible. Do I open the bmp click the alpha mask button - then the black button next to it which turns the bmp all black and then drag it over?

This is in wegraphics studio by the way

Any help much appreciated

because you should drag\drop from the full colour boot pic over the palette

and Eddy you should colour it in a paint package to be the same as the transparent colour of your boot pack

yes jim i do that, i made a pic 512x512 and add the 5 editable boots inside, i open that in GS and take the palette from that, i do the same with other bootpack for WE7 I and it works fine, the shoes for the 5 editable are:

F50 (black yellow stripes)
Adidas World Cup
Umbro XAI
Lotto (green)
F50 (white)

Maybe not enough colors ?

right click drag&drop works only when you leave only one or two field, otherwise you drag & drop the whole texture (works the same as d&d with left mouse button)

for dragging only palette leave checked only "Extract/Insert RGB" field, the rest ("Extract/Insert Data" and "Extract/Insert Alpha") uncheck

use the boot with the silver lines, increase to 16mil colours, new layer, flood fill blue, set layer properties to multiply, then use the eraser tool on the layer to remove the bits you don't want blue.

it didn't work because each single texture had another palette than all texture together

here you have correct textures, do the following:
drag and drop it into right slots with left mouse button
then check only "Extract/Insert RGB" and drag and drop whatever of these textures with right mouse button into palette slot. That's all

and FCH, this is correct grayscale of those textures, now you have to cut top part and paste your editable Nike's into black hole, then insert to game
