Hey guys...something is weird is going on with my FIFA 2004 game...or maybe my computer...here's the deal...

Whenever I make a substitution...as the game is halted to bring the sub in...my game melts! Literally, the video "melts" into blobs of colors. The sound of the game continues...but I can't continue with the game...so it's just the sound of the fans cheering.

I can't escape normally, I can't make the game do anything else, so I hit control-alt-delete and my windows manager comes up and says "FIFA 2004 - demo running". I do not have the FIFA 2004 demo even installed on this computer. I switch the program off...and the computer completely freezes...the mouse doesn't move, control-alt-delete doesn't work...I have to cold reboot.

So, I try playing without substitutions, but in career mode, the game are always saved as 2-0 losses, no matter if I win, lose, or draw.

WTF is going on!!! I have searched my system for the FIFA 2004-demo on my disk...and don't find it. This sounds virus-like to me, but it only attacks my FIFA 2004 game...nothing else.

So...any theories? Thanks in advance for the help...

Very strange what happens to you !
I have also experimented the " melting " syndrom but it was happening ONLY with the demo after I downloaded a demo patch.
Don't remember if it was this year or last year
Check out what patches you have recently added to your game
( any kind of )
try to remember what changes you made
Have you downloaded the Euro demo or patches that customize the demo ?

ya it happen to me before in the demo but then it did not melt no more.{IM talking bout the demo|i now have thefull version

yup.. happen to me in euro2004 demo...

keep the original setting in fifa..

Thanks for the ideas. I went back into my FIFA 2004 main file, and some how part of a demo expander for Euro 2004 expander wound up in my FIFA 2004 main folder. I got rid of that...and all is fine.
