Was playing some kid and I found the worst loser yet. It was Benfica-Inter, to replay the UEFA Cup, of course I was Benfica. As we get to the half it's 1-1, after I dominated his ass and he got a lucky goal on an uncalled offside, ok fine, I can take this kid in the second half I say. And I do, score, and now it's 2-1. Get to 70 minutes and I see it. He's slide tackling me on everything and doing offside traps, so I do the same thing except don't get caught for my tackles and when I do get caught I do the offside trap. In the end he lost 2 men and I lost 1. Then in the 90th minute this douchebag decides to pause the game THREE CONSECUTIVE TIMES, and WAITS FOR AS LONG AS THE PAUSE IS ALLOWED TO GO ON. And he though he'd trick me out by going to Quit>and then just leaving his cursor on "Yes" for the whole pause too. In the end I grabbed my 2-1 win after battling a serious douchebag.

what do you mean by "doing the offside trap"? is there a command for that or just the setting in the team management menu?

no, running all your men forward when its a non shootable freekick to them

yes but you can only control one man at a time. is there a command that makes all of them run up at the same time? that wold be cool if so.

It's not cool, it's a cheap tactic used by people who can't just accept the fact that they gave up a foul. If a team did this in real-life they'd never hear the end of it, though I'm not even sure it's allowed in real-life, except on shooting freek's.

And please, no one tell this guy how to do it, then we'll just have one more cheat online to deal with.

i would suggest that you cleared up all the facts first before saying anything, or maybe think a little bit more before doing so.

first off, the offside trap is a legal move, usually initiated by the sweeper when he forsees an incoming pass during normal play. normally, if the team isn't using a flat back four formation for defence, the sweeper alone moving up would have the desired results. in well organized defensive lines, he may call everybody to move up thus again winning the ball through the use of the "offside trap". it's pretty risky though because if not done right or if the linesman doesn't call it for whatever reason, then thats an open shot on goal.

now with regards to applying this during a free kick in the video game as someone mentioned earlier, i don't know the legality of such a move in a real match, nor am I interested in finding out how it's done in the video game.

you probably would've known what I meant if you actually physically indulge in the real thing and not just the video game.
