Hey, I'm thinking about getting one of these games, but I want to know, which one is more playable inyour expert opinions?

Cheers :fluffy: :lui: :dragan: :taz:

I've played 00/01 for a short while, and didnt find it all that appealing... I cant really remember much about the game... But CM01/02 is probably regarded as one of the BETTER games of the whole series. I find it a lot more addictive than any of the other games in the series.

I thought the games were the same? Except more recent database in CM01/02:confused:

(I started playing CM when CM4 came out, so I don't know) I once had CM00/01, but my old PC couldn't handle it :$

The two games are pretty much the same, just different data bases, slightly different in game commentry and CM 01/02 has a 'compare player' function whereas the Cm00/01 version does not. Other than that there's crap all difference.
Really, at the price that you can get them for it's worth buying both, as you get different great players on the different versions due to the database difference, so you can alternate between the two games tokeep things fresh. :mrpimp:

As a strange coincidence, I bought 00/01 today for £5. I'm enjoying it so far.

Subtle absenses are:

No ability to scout next oposition
No new transfer regulations (good, if you hate unprotected contracts)
Andres D'Alessandro somehow at West Ham
Robbie Keane's stint at Inter is stricken from the records
No fog of war
Chairman stats are visible without the ARSE command (unless it's been sneaked in with the patch I installed)
Before the On-Digital money fest (might be wrong on that one)
The return of the Conference Cup :woo!:
Smaller database

Not that many major changes in terms of gameplay. Doesn't seem to be as much involvement with the media but I like the game a lot.

Not as much as I like 01/02, mind.

Hey Shindig, If your having a bash at CM00/01 have a look at buying Marek Szmid. The guy becomes an absolute midfield god!

Also, Derek Boateg. He's about the closest thing that I found to Maxim Tsigalko on 00/01.

Also Forsberg (Not the one who's in 01/02, the other one. Jorgan I think. He makes 100+ passes some games on 00/01 If I recall correctly. :mrpimp:

Bugger. Scarboro' got Szmid. I wont get Boateg because of WP's.

He's already at it Shindig, he's already making up his own words such as 'coucher' instead of using the more traditional 'Kosher'. ;)

I asumed a coucher was someone who dealt in comfy furniture.

LOL. I was thinking that perhaps 'coucher' was a slang word for a lazy person who watched alot of t.v. :D

If anyone else has any suggestions as to what 'coucher' might be, then please send them along with a donation to:

Swansea? Grrrrr.... I hate the bloody place because I can't acheive much with their bloody side.

I suppose it's my own fault with crippling them with the wage bill. They'll thank me when I sell Samba for £250m. Might settle for £11.5m

Hmmmmmm...... players seem angrier when I play WWW2 on 00/01....

Alpay - 6 yellows
Prilasnig - 4 yellows 1 red
Goma - 6 yellows
Dabizas - 5 yellows 1 red

Even Bassedas stuck the nut on Moncur in a cup tie!

Newcastle - 40 yellows by Christmas! 3 Reds.

Having read this thread I'm tempted to install 00/01, I bought it ages ago on e-bay for about 50p but never got round to playing it :o

Shindig

50p! Bargain!

Sorted out my discipline problem by knocking the tackling down a bit. Won the league ahead of the mancs by 7 points. Slaughtered Derby in an easy FA Cup Final, too.

Barton hates Dabizas so I'm ditching them both. Gavilan's leaving for Osasuna because I forgot to renew his contract (D'oh!)

Still got far too many crap youngsters, though.
