Hopeunited 12-05-2004, 08:52:AM Keegan has confirmed Tarnat's exit from City, along with Danny Tiatto and Gerard Wiekens:
TARNAT LOOKING FOR NEW PREM CLUB (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=300171&cc=5901)
  He could be helpful for the promoted teams and teams like Everton...
rony31 12-05-2004, 09:42:AM and to replace these players, Keegan's looking to sign 4 or 5 more washed up England midfielders that are not needed at all
pennington10 12-05-2004, 09:51:AM And an ex-Liverpool striker to complete his offseason spending.
rony31 12-05-2004, 10:01:AM or possibly Emile Heskey :(

rhizome17 12-05-2004, 11:30:AM Damn, I thought we could get at least another season from Tarnat, he hasn't been all that bad...
He should come back to Germany! :rockman:
mufc_daddy 12-05-2004, 12:13:PM I thought he said a few months ago that he wanted to go back to Germany so his kids could grow up in their native land.
He should join the Baggies (or Norwich which isnt as bad).
:crazyboy:
He can f u c k o f f . . . (H)
How is he doing in the EPL? I didn't follow him much at all.
mufc_daddy 12-05-2004, 12:30:PM He scores good free kicks.
Other than that i think he hasnt done too well, he's too old and slow. Lucky he doesnt have to play again Wright-Phillips.

the only thing i remember him doing was scoring a freekick ages back in the season.:o
VanTheMan 12-05-2004, 04:09:PM tarnat for west brom would be fantastic.
i can see west brom perform a b'ham next season
enigma 12-05-2004, 05:06:PM Tarnat isn't bad.. And he scores magical free kicks. So.. He'll probably find another club to go to.

Nah, he has scored a few of those now, has made some good assists for goals, and has been one of the better performers in a generally poor defence. I thought he was worth another season, considering our only other option for LB at present is Distin, and Keegan obviously sees him as most useful at CB.
hermolt 12-05-2004, 05:52:PM I'll have Tiatto. We need a bit of **** in the midfield.
Hendrik 12-05-2004, 07:56:PM He always was a good backup to Lizarazu. Became a bit slow in the last couple of years, but doesn't cause any trouble.
Should be enough for 1st Division.

Yea I thought Tarnat had an ok season, and he says he wants to stay in England cuz he loves the atmosphere. I wonder why Keegan got rid of him?
SB9Dragon 13-05-2004, 05:37:AM Tarnat would be a good pickup for a newly promoted team or one of the lower EPL teams like Everton or maybe even Blackburn where he could battle with Gresko for a starting position...

Because he needs to go in order for Keegan to implament his top secert plan for next season. The first ever 0-7-3 formation.
--------------Anekla----Heskey-----Fowler----------------
McManaman--Reyna--Barton--Bosvelt--Sinclair--Sibierski--Tiatto--
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------Blondie James--------------------------
It looks soild. I suspect that maybe Keegan will buy Jamie Redknapp though. He would fit in perfectly with that team.
