View Full Version : FIFA 2005 League Petition
Marty 12-05-2004, 10:22:PM Hi I decided to start a petition for FIFA 2005 Leagues. All you have to do is write 3 Leagues that you think should be included in the upcoming FIFA 2005. If you truly want your desired League please help this petition going.
When I recieve at least 100 posts I will review the Thread and choose the top 10 Leagues that appear the most. After I will make a POLL so everyone can vote on the TOP 10 Leagues.
*Please provide leagues that were not included in the past FIFA's

Cyprom 13-05-2004, 07:00:PM Sorry Marty and all the guys who replied to this thread but I really doubt that EA will take in consideration your request for FIFA 2005 (I said for FIFA 2005 It can be taken for later FIFA).
I talked with Zoe Quinn and she said that teams/leagues are selected since a long time now. But the best idea is to make a petition for FIFA 2006 (unfortunaltely, Hakeem closed the thread I opened). They do the teams list around November/December and add some others in January. After that there's a very short way to see more teams.
So Marty, why don't you manage a petition page on your site and I'll forward all infos to EA manager (now Matt will be there so I hope it will move up with our request).
Best regards, Cyprom

Yah they won't but its better to have stronger leagues in the game. How is it that clubs like Fenerbahce and Panathinaikos get cut for israeli teams? Thats ridiculous.
Ah well.
valioso 19-05-2004, 09:09:AM i always find amusing, how people will take off leagues that are already in the game to put their own, and then claim they are being ignored by EA because the leagues are not there.
Is fine to want your own league in the game, but no disrespect to the leagues already there, cause just like a turkish guy may want to take out the MLS league, people that like the MLS league may not care about the turkish league either..

Edit: Since Emile Mpenza has left the Belgian league, it wouldn't hurt nearly as bad as not having Leeds in the game. I also replaced the Turkish league with MLS. Before you start screaming at the computer, just read on.
I like the Turkish league, it is a great league and it's an outrage it isn't in the FIFA games. It is way better than MLS. However, MLS has Americans in it that I like. MLS has some young talent, like Landon Donovan, DaMarcus Beasley, Josh Wolff, Clint Mathis, Damani Ralph, and most of all, Freddy Adu. When I am playing with European teams (I'd probably never play with the MLS teams very much), I'd want to buy these players. I don't follow the Turkish league that much, and I could live without having the young Turkish stars. In fact I'd rather play with MLS teams. Not because they are better (which they are not, MLS doesn't compare to Turkish as I said before), but because they are way closer to home and I am affiliated with them. I hear about them all the time. I watch MLS on ESPN2. But with the Turkish league, if I want to find info, I have to search the internet for a while to get good sites on it.
johncmcleod 24-05-2004, 08:42:AM MLS should be in the game. America has a few fine players. MLS has produced players that play very well in the premiership such as Kasey Keller, Tim Howard, Brad Friedel, and Claudio Reyna. Within the MLS there's players such as Landon Donovan, DaMarcus Beasley, Clint Mathis, Josh Wolf, and Carlos Ruiz who are young and talented have the potential to be international superstars.
And look at the US in the world cup. They slaughtered fourth ranked Portugal, tied (but dominated) Korea, the team that finished in third place, beat Mexico, a top 10 ranked team, and should've beaten Germany, who made it into the finals, if it weren't for poor officiating. They also have done very well in international friendlies. American soccer is on the rise. Within 10 or 20 years it almost rival some of the European leagues.
Not to mention we have Freddy Adu.
BTW, do you think it is a lock that Division 1 will be in the game? If not, I might change my petition. I would die if I couldn't be Leeds in a career.
Oh, and Fener_Bahce, in a lot of the Madden games they do have NFL Europe.

Yah they do have european teams, but they're not going to cut out NFL teams to fit european 1's in.
I'm not doubting USA's tallent, they do have a good international squad, but can you agree with me that football is probably 1 of the most ignored sports in America?
I live in Canada, and i know that a lot of my friends buy the game to play in big leagues. MLS is on the rise, but it's not taken too seriously in America. Maybe what we need in Fifa is to not exclude any leagues, but excluding european 1's like the greek and turkish one seems pretty ridiculous to me.

You guys dont get it:kader: You wanna know why a lot of sales happened last year? Cuz for the first time Mexican League teams were added and we were mislead that there were going to be at least 7 or 8 teams in it. The sales in the US was because of the Mexican League teams not for the sorry ass MLS. All my friends that I know that have the game dont even care the MLS is there. It sucks to waste space to have the MLS in it.

johncmcleod 25-05-2004, 10:55:AM I beg to differ. The soccer fans I know love MLS and don't care for the Mexican league. This probably has to do with geographical differences though, in California there are more Mexican immigrants and they took Mexican football with them.

johncmcleod 28-05-2004, 10:28:AM The first reason is, well, the US international team is doing extremely well, and any international team that good deserves to have their professional team in the game (why Turkey should also be in it.
The next reason is, Americans make up a huge portion of the sales. Many of them may like the Euro leagues better, but they like American players better. EA would lose a lot of sales if MLS wasn't in it. If the FIFA PC games don't do well, what if they stop making them? I don't have a console, and I don't want to buy one.
The most important reason is the MLS has a lot of cool young players with tons of potential that, when I'm Leeds or any other European club, I will want to buy. They have so many players with so much potential, some of them already international superstars. I have my heart on set on buying some of these players, such as Landon Donvan, Clint Mathis, Josh Wolff, DaMarcus Beasley, Carlos Ruiz, Damani Ralph, and most of all Freddy Adu. They will be really cheap. I will buy a few of these players, they will improve and get to be some of the best players in the world, and Leeds United will be a perennial contender for the Champions League Final.
Rochester Rhino 28-05-2004, 11:13:AM I think the only reason the MLS is in their is because of sales, not the skill talent of the league.
Lonestarr022 29-05-2004, 02:24:AM MLS is a growing league, people do go to their games, and do liek their teams, Look at the other leagues in the game, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, im sure they are there also to accomodate ppl from thiose countries.
Its a worldwide game for worldwide soccer fans, and there are a lot of good name players in our league, so it should be there.

man am I sick of people saying how crappy the mls is, IT'S ONLY 8 YEARS OLD!!!!!! how good do you expect it to be after 8 years? are you that dumb? and if the a-league is better they would win the us open cup every year, moron. plus look at how many great players the mls has developed and sent to europe in the past few years.
did you walk the moment you shot out of your mother? NO, it took time for you to learn, just like it will take a little more time for the mls to improve, even though it already has taken massive strives to quality soccer. ENOUGH WITH THE MLS BASHING! it's simply arrogant and ignorant.

johncmcleod 15-07-2004, 06:14:AM Yeah, there is a reason that MLS teams have more money and buy the good players from the A-League. The A-League is a step below MLS. You can't argue that it is better.
Fener_Bahce 15-07-2004, 04:07:PM Alright I'm not cutting down MLS, in my opinion football in North America is very ignored.
So maybe MLS should be in the game because they sell a lot, BUT leagues like the Greek one, and the Turkish one shoud NOT be left out for a league like MLS.
Just like NFL 2005 wouldn't cut the bears and but in a German team. It can't be done, it ruins the game.

Wisła Kraków was eliminated Schalke 04, AC Parma, Real Saragossa, and they were near to eliminated Lazio SS. Legia and Widzew was playing in 1/4 of Champions League. Dyskobolia Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski was eliminated Hertha Berlin and Manchester City in UEFA Cup.
In 3rd phase of elimination to Champions League, Wisła Kraków will play with Real Madrid. I warrant, that will fight.
We have good clubs, so you don't tell nonsense.:f***:
