austalia has one of the best youth development programs in the world. In junior football competitions ie u17 and u21 competition australia has always been very competitive. Its just that all our players leave and go to europe ie Kewell and bosnich etc, the standard of the national league has slumped because of the introduction of the u21 league instead of a reserves league at state competition. The reserves league was a great way for experienced players to pass on their skills and know how to younger players. Now older players cant play in the 2nd grade league and just retire or play in a amateur league, thus denying young players the opportunity to learn
You flamin Aussies, how the heck do you keep doing it? You keep overcoming all the odds to do the impossible. Your under 17 team has made the final of the Youth World Cup over here in Kiwiland by beating the Yanks on penalties, you meet Brazil in the Final.
Last night i watched the brazilians beat Ghana on penalties in the greatest game of football i have ever seen live. Ive been to Wembly, watched countless English premiership games but last nights under 17 semi final was simply out of this world.
The Brazilian team got themselves offside with all the kiwi fans here by taunting the Ghana fans when they won on penalties. This saturday there is a sellout crowd of 25,000 kiwis all cheering on you Aussies against Brazil.
Its going to be a mission impossible but you Aussies keep doing the Impossible, way to go
Gooooooo Aussiesssss

What do you think of our Kiwi team, the Kingz competing in your Aussie national league?
