Most of those songs are indeed terrible, but I think the worst mistake has to be "Breakfast at Tiffany's." How can that song be on this list, let alone in the top ten?

SRB
15-05-2004, 12:29:PM
they chose a lot of these songs because of their lyrics... if they were weird or unusual.

Haha, I actually like that song, too.

Aw, **** the morons that made this list. I just played Deep Blue Something in my WinAmp and I'm about to play Crazy Town, just to spite them.

That song by Crazy Town does suck. But if you must insist that it be removed from the list, you should just replace it with that LFO song.

here is a sample of the lyrics:[Chorus]

New Kids On The block, had a bunch of hits
Chinese food makes me sick.
And I think it's fly when girls stop by for the summer, for the summer
I like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch,
I'd take her if I had one wish,
But she's been gone since that summer..
Since that summer

It's probably because most people don't like the same music as you people. Guess what, more people like Britney Spears than like Metallica! Get over it. What you consider great music, others consider garbage. And you need to actually watch the show to hear them explain why some of these songs are on the list.

Ricky Martin "

They should also put the William Hung`s version in it . . .

Most of `em are right where they should be. "Sorry 2004" by Ruben should`ve made on the top 10, I mean even the title reminds me of a crappy annual football game series made by a Canadian game company . . .

No how the hell to you put two of the best rock bands ever in this list.

First off the Spin Doctors are great. Any band that was on Bill Nye the Science Guy rocks.

Second off no way should Huey Lewis and the News be on this list. All their songs are gold. Also who could forget Huey Lewis' cameo in Back to the Future.

And it is clear what song should be on the list. My Girl likes to Party All the Time by Eddie Murphy. That song is terrible.

Damn, where's Justin Timberlake, N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, for ****s sake... Where's St. Anger from Metallica?:crazyboy: (*runs away afraid of being stabbed to death*)

Yep, the album as a whole looks weak, not only the song. I've heard to Frantic and The Unnamed Feeling (or whatever this thing is called) and it's so bad. I dont really like Metallica, but you hear Master of Pumpets, Enter Sandman, etc.. and then hear to St. Anger, damn..

Wow, was this before Good Charlotte, Simpole Plan, The Strokes, Avril, YellowCard, StaticFM, SOTY, etc? Most of these songs are '80s anyway, and 80s was full of cheesy-****.

The Strokes are a inovative band who are one of the only bands out today that continue to make different music. All the other bands you mentioned are just cookie cutter bands put out by record lables to get money.

The list itself I mostly agree with, and the accompanying TV special on VH1 was fun to watch. However, some of the songs were ranked lower than I would have ranked them. They are:

21. The "Friends" Theme Song

17. I'm Too Sexy

13. Barbie Girl

11. Rico Suave

I also think I need to pass judgement on the other songs cited in the thread so far, because Blender and VH1 had already done their jobs with the 50 songs featured in the magazine and TV special.

Blue (Da Ba Dee), Eiffel 65: Italians should never, EVER be allowed to release dance music on the American market. Not under any circumstances.

Summer Girls, LFO: No wonder during my HS days, I called them Losers From Orlando, because that's what all boy bands are.

Aserejé, Las Ketchup: Three words: It. F*cking. Sucked.

Cheeky Song, Cheeky Girls: Since this wasn't released in America, I have no opinion on this track.

We Like To Party, Vengaboys: Bud Melman and the Six Flags ad killed this one. That's all I have to say.

Baby One More Time, Britney Spears: Didn't like her then, still don't like her now.
