does anyone know what this game is all about?!?!
Who the heck are these Catalans? Where they all born there, or do they play in Espanyol or Barca?

Catalunha: Víctor Valdés; Curro Torres, Lopo, Oleguer e Capdevila; Sergio González, Guardiola, Iniesta e Roger; Jofre e Sergio García. Técnico: Angel Alonso.

Brasil: Dida, Mancini (Cafu), Luisão, Cris e Roberto Carlos; Juninho Pernambucano, Edmílson, Zé Roberto e Alex; Ronaldinho e Ronaldo. Técnico: Carlos Alberto Parreira.

Who's playin where for the Catalans? And where do they play?
(position, club)?
the game is today 4pm Brasilia time

-William-

Hey are they showing the match anywhere?
Anyone will be with the highlights?
I wanna see how Cesc performs.
Interesting, Wenger said he'll star in the first team next season.
Wanna see his style and the likes.
Thanks.

It should be players from Catalonia or players which have lived in Catalonia X years, because Iniesta is from Albacete but he moved to Barcelona six years ago.

Some important catalan players such as Puyol, Luque, Xavi and Gabri can not play the game because the spanish federation don't let them play.

The reason the spanish federation give is that they have to be focused on the Euro, but it wouldn't be strange if it was because they don't like the Catalan National team to play international matches, so they just f*ck it as much as they can.

Brazil already played against Catalonia before the World Cup, and they compromised to play here again if the won the WC. Brazil won 3-1 with 2 goals scored by Ronaldinho.

Camp Nou will be almost full: yesterday there were about 80.000 tickets sold.

players:

Víctor Valdés, Oleguer, Sergio González , Iniesta, Sergio García from Barça

Lopo, Jordi Cruyff from Espanyol
Curro Torres from Valencia
Capdevila, sergio from Depor
Guardiola from the easy life in some team in Qatar
Roger, Quique Álvarez from Villareal
Jofre from Levante
Celades from Girondins (I think...?)
Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal

Tamudo (Espanyol) and Luís García (barça) are injured.

The match will be party, because it's a friendly and because we can't see our NT team play very often, so when it plays people wants to enjoy it.

I was also surprised seing Iniesta in the team.

Anyway, we have integrated lots of spanish inmigrants. I guess he's just one of them, so he's welcomed.

He looked promising but he faded away, he's getting old now almost 30 I think

although the score seems to show great match it hasn't been that good.

Brazil won 2-5, but that's no surprise. NO many teams are able to beat them.

Brazil is the best team in the world and we were missing our best players some"kidnaped" by spanish NT and some others injured.

Hope some day we'll play more than just friendly international games.

Good luck to Brazil.

Maybe, but then you can be sure that antena3, tele5 or TVE would show the images.

If they don't it's because there's nothing to show. I think there hasn't been images like those in last 2 or 3 years.

Propoganda. Most informed Americans are opposed to hostility in Iraq. Showing images of dead soldiers enrages the less informed masses, and they will support any kind of retaliation on the part of the military. Everyone gets an equal vote, and Americans live from soundbyte to soundbyte, so showing the images will help our current President push his own agenda, even if the majority of informed Americans (and the majority of Americans in general, according to the last popular vote and the current apprval rating) are opposed to military action.

Sorry to go so far off topic, but the question was asked and it deserves a proper answer from an American.

Ronaldo will get his weight right in the off-season i hope. He still has it, both of his goals yesterday were quite class. And Baptista, holy ****! What a goal, remembers me of Rivaldo at Barça, damn good bycicle kick. Nice game, 5-2 was a good result, now morale is up for the game against Argentina.
