Rumour: EA is working on a football simulation game!

This Rumour was posted on Tuesday 1st of june on a dutch gamesite (www.gamers.nl). This site is a trustworthy site! with good knowlegde!

The rumour says that a number (about 10) of people from Konami who have been working on PES for the last couple of years, have been contracted by EA. Together they are now working on a new soccer game with the PES gameplay and the EA/Fifa football Licenses.

The rumour says that the new football simulation game is developed at EA Chertsey, this is where Burnout 3 is developed at the moment.

I think this can be a good development! The one thing PES misses is the official fifa license and the one thing the fifa franchise misses is the PES gameplay!

Whats your opinion on this?

If your right then it was bound to happen. I mean money is the biggest motivator and im sure EA is paying them lots to leave Konami....

This is amazing news if this is true,

i dont want them to copy pes's gameplay as parts of fifa's gameplay is better than konami's and vica versa. They need to work together and meet somewhere in the middle. (which is probably whats going to happen) It'll probably have EA's great graphics and commentary too!:rockman:

Is this going to be fifa 2006?

I would assume in 2005 since they have untill the fall to redo the gameplay

They could be independent contractors or something like that. But it's great news if it really is true...:rolleyes:

If it's true this will be a good investment by EA! Since PES came to the pc I haven't played the Fifa series for a very long time! This might be a reason to go back to the Fifa series for me!

If this was for real it'd have been posted in every Game News Website.

But just in case this is the truth, I would like to add that I don't think that they are going to give any 'touch' for FIFA 2005.
I think they'll make a separate game from FIFA. Or they will work for FIFA 2006 (World Cup).

The PES water effects are awesome, from water splashing when players' run, to the ball making the water splash on the turth and you can see water trails, etc.

I also think the hair is animated. The actual 3D quality isn't as good, nor are the faces...but they have some bloody good features!

I don't want PES water effects, i think is not the best feature cause it's a little unrealistic, the water splash equal for all the pitch, this part concernes to dynamic weather from EA, i think they can make better.

I hope that this isn't true. Konami are developing a fine soccer game. While EA are providing a good alternative if it's not your style. They should stay seperate as with the good competition they can only get better. I don't think there will ever be an "ultimate" soccer game... there is always room for improvement and without compeition that could be lost.

I am sure that is not that the EA programmers arent capable of making a good game, but that they direction that the company wants to take the game doesnt allow them for much

To this i just respond with FIFA 2005 features:

- Creation Centre inside
- Dynamic Weather
- You can put all the accessories to the players. I'm saying this cause i'm making DB for FIFA 2005 and it have an option with that. I know i can say this cause already had it in FIFA 2004...

it might be true or not i hope it is cause then we would have a good game every year

Its an added bonus for different boots and to be able to change boots. It would be nice to have the option embeded in EA DNA. But once again, i wouldn't care too much if it wasn't in it.

lol this guy its great he got red cards yellow cards got banned from soccer forum and pes forum and still he says everyone in those forums are wrong (including mods) and he is right, like he was a inocent victim of simply posting his opinions......just chill out my friend take life the easy way before you got banned from all forums.

Well to me I don't know what he said etc... but everyone does have a right to there opinions and hey thats what a forum is for... Now one thing I really hate is when people are so caught up in saying whatever they have is best etc... very pathedic if you ask me but anyways. I for one never played PES and you don't see me going around saying "oh Fifa is the best!" lol thats just very very childish.... But if Fifa could always improve and thats the point of message boards etc.. is to see what could they improve upon etc...

Now if PES has such a great and realistic gameplay I think it would be great to see some influence or if they both combined to make one soccer game we all know it would be great, but then again If EA wants to keep there loyal players then they have to make a better game thats the whole point of competition, one developer makes a great game and they for the other one to make an even better game... Now IMO if the Fifa team but as much work into the game like the Madden team does then the game will be great... really meaning on the game modes etc... But yea all in all if they both worked together EA and Konami worked together it might just turn out to be a great gaming experience...

as i said i would like fifa to improve but i don't like mouta posts because he always compares the games and make fifa the best. Fifa needs lots of improvement in term of games and i hope fifa 2005 will do it.

Pointing the bad aspects is not saying that FIFA is the best... i play PES3 a lot of times like i said, in that forum the people are simply stupid and biased by PES, we can't even make a critic to the game, they always say we are fanboys... for me PES3 is better but not that much comparing to EURO 2004, FIFA 2004 is poor, i don't like it. ofcourse you can critisize the game! but not in every pes threat, we had a special threat for that, it was called pes4 wishes, and we all had something to say about pes3 what need it to improve in pes4, coz non of the games are 100% prefect

True but ive seen people in this forum talking trash about Fifa like oh fifa sucks and PES is the best etc.. i mean people are very childish that way and hey even people in the fifa vs PES are very childish, "oh another person has finally seen the light" I mean what light, if Fifa got better than PES are they gonna say "oh people saw the light again and came back to Fifa". Like you said ronaldo9, no game is perfect period. but again the closer the better and the more fun you have. true Fifa 2004 wasnt all that but I think in some areas it was good. like the ball physics were much better than previous fifas, heck since it even came to the PS2, what like 2001 or something. To me they are going "backwards" but hey maybe now they'll finally go forward and create a better game. yet i'll still buy it because i want to not because they are "forcing" me lol.. Well anyways for any game I never have high hopes because if you have them too high and a game falls short then you'll be all sad, and the same with critics I dont listen to them I play whatever I want to play and with Fifa 2004 I found it enjoyable "most of the time" and thats my opinion not someone who says "Fifa sucks, dont buy that game"...
