I think this thread is a must... really, when i see Football Kingdom from NAMCO nets physics i wonder why EA keeps making this iron nets... the nets are one of the most important thing in the "goal feeling". EA should make class nets, that really moved when the ball touched it, sometimes we score a goal in FIFA and the nets don't even move, i know that EA producers see this forum so please take a look at Football Kingdom nets and make similar ones, those are real nets. I know that it's not difficult to make such nets and that's why i keep asking myself why EA don't make it, they make a lot of harder things in other games...

And another thing, i'm not complaining about the texture, i've saw they changed the texture this year, but that's not enough, the other texture was also good, it was simply more american style, what i complain about is the way they move, the physics, no matter what texture they use if they keep this physics they'll look bad when we score a goal for example.

I think this year, EA will change the net physics to a more realistic standard.

yes i noticed that in EURO that the nets don't move at all and i hate it.

they also sound like metal.....

That familier "clank" is driving me nuts

I really expect they change it, cause in the E3 trailer only the texture was different, if you notice in Valencia goal the nets physics are the same... hope it's because of being pre-alpha.

Yes but should be better, football kingdom ones are simply amazing...

i love to see them bouncing up and down on a hard shot after you score. I wish fifa could replicate that.

What annoys me is the way the balls flights seems to just stop dead once it hits the net. The ball hardly rolls around inside, if you hit a shot into a goal even though the ball speed is slowed down a tad by the net, the physics move the ball around, something pes does brilliantly.

Its a shame though, it takes the shine off some fantastic goals!

PES goal nets suck donkies bollocks, but they are better than FIFA's nets.

Also, when the ball rolls and hits the bottom of the goals it should curve up the back of the net and then back out of the goals instead of just hitting it like a wall.

I hate these nets, granted, the nets are not the most important things in the world. But bad nets take a lot of fun out of a brilliant goal.

yeah, that is an aspect that should be changed...hope the producers read this thread..

Well the nets should get better, but if you stop playing a game because the net physics arent perfect then umm yea... There not the best best in Fifa but I wouldnt stop playing it because it wasnt realistic.....

i also stopped playing fifa 2004 and euro because of the nets, also because the goals were always the same, and the keeps always making the same dumb movements.....but again, im waiting for 2005

yes because the good nets will make the gameplay suck less :rolleyes:

I don't think that FK is arcadish...Maybe you say this because the CPU is very easy.If you play with a friend you'll see the difference!I played multiplayer and I liked it very much..This game is awesome!!

Valioso, better nets won't make fifa's gameplay better but it would add a little more flavour to this garbage of a game! :mrpimp:

Well that statement is very very very untrue, many things could "save" Fifa, as you put it. Bringing back the ingame CC could improve it lots, with changing names and editing players etc... The gameplay could deff improve which will make the game better, changing nets will improve upon it, better net physics which of course this thread is all about. Better animations, faster and more responsive controls etc... True there may be many things to improve a game. Such as PES arent many if not all team unlicensed which makes it "unrealistic", Now if they got licensed teams it would add to the game regardless if you could edit player names etc..

No game, I repeat, no game is perfect, thats why they come out every year with updated material. Now team Fifa just needs to get the butts in gear and add what we want, to make the game better. So in response to your post, you have no clue what your talking about :rolleyes:

I think the problems that have plagued fifa lately are the result of EA listening to people asking for better net physics rather than better gameplay. :crazyboy:

remember the nets of fifa 2000,2001...........they were very realistic........but.......as EA has mastered the art.......simply removes that in fifa2003,fifa2004,Euro 2004...........so that can
say......"New realistic Nets.........for upcoming Fifa20xx".......
