Hi guys,

I brought this game after playing TCM 2003 at a mate's house and loving it. But I've installed it, and patched it. Have the newest display drivers, and a GeForce4 Ti4200 so shouldn't be any problems running it on my Athlon machine, with XP installed. But it chucks me out before I can start playing. Could someone please help me, I have no idea why it's doing it.

Thank you,

SilverMasta

... just to add. After reading the manual it says to turn off antivirus and crash guards programs, after doing this (I've got PC Cillin and Zone Alarm) the game crashes, but instead of returning to desktop it crashes and freezes in the game, the mouse is movable, although golden TCM mouse pointer remains in same place, usual windows one can be seen moving about at my discretion - weird and annoying.

PLEASE HELP :o)

Same happens here.
Sometimes the game just vanishes and I am suddenly at the Desktop ,can't restart PC ,can't shut it down ,can't click anywhere and open anything.Or it just freezes.
God damned game.

Ok I've fixed mine by getting a fixed exe from GameCopyWorld / GameBurnWorld (.com). Patch it to v1.2 and then download and replace the .exe and mine is now working ok.

I still don't understand why ;) , but at least it's working!! (H)

You aren't meant to post about warez here but hey!

Apply all the patches and you don't need to apply a no-cd patch, this is the comp i use to run it and it works fine: 866mhz P3, 512mb Ram, GeForce4 128mb, XP Pro.

If things happen, try forcing the game to run in windowed mode, it makes it a lot more stable for me.

It wasn't a No-CD that I used, just a fixed .exe - but apologies :)

Will try running in Windowed mode, how is that achieved, XP settings or game settings?

That's what the fixed exe is, it gets rid of the "please insert CD" for those folks who "acquired" their copies without an official CD! ;)

To put it in windowed mode open up user.ini in the TCM2004 directory and change the "windowed" value from 0 to 1.
