1. I feel kinda bad for removing the audio coz you guys are not gonna hear the wonderful chants, etc. but I had to do it. Saved me over 40 MegaBytes.
* The movie in its native MPEG2 format w/ sound adn in 640 x 480 is about 500MB. :D
It's godly though. As fluid as on a TV + great quality. (Y)
2. It's a 5 min match so you won't get to see much going on... I would love to record a 10 min match but it would probably to big and + it's not my server.
3. If I get a permission from Awax I will record a longer movie.
4. Thanks to Awax for hosting!
5. Thanks to wefantasy for a wonderful patch!
6. Thanks to all of you for watching!
7. Thanks to KONAMI for WE!
8. I will be uploading WE8 movies when the game is out.
9. More WE7IJ movies on the way. Some goal compilations, etc.
Peace! I have to go take a shower now. It's hot like mother****er and my balls are sweating. :mrpimp:

jumbo 10-06-2004, 10:41:PM When I get out of shower, I'll start recording another movie. Hoping to capture something more interesting.
Not much you can do in a 5 min match.
Diego colombia 10-06-2004, 11:02:PM jumbo what patch were you using ??
- eksol - 10-06-2004, 11:15:PM He`s using WEFAntasy x-patch final :)
Mayor 10-06-2004, 11:35:PM jumbo you wrote you saved 40 mb by cutting off sound?
man, 8 minute sound track in good mp3 quality takes about 7-8 Mb...
game doesn't require stereo 192 kb/s quality so soundtrack in this movie could take just about 4-5 Mb more
I suggest Virtual Dub for it, it's easy
about a movie: nice, what a pity that 0:0.. but where are my quests? :D damn I saw that keepers R1 trick just once time ago
but I see you tried, Del Piero made 360 spin twice, shame he failed both times :D
xpronic 10-06-2004, 11:56:PM Anyone else getting an error in WINRAR when the download completes? :(

i got that too
Frieske 11-06-2004, 01:49:AM i can't download the video :(
BeyondSalvage 11-06-2004, 02:20:AM Use Virtual Dub to encode it, and use Xvid codec...With sound, it shouldnt be bigger than what you have now...
- eksol - 11-06-2004, 04:21:AM I`m having an error aswell opening this file. Yes, I did download the entire file and when trying to open with WinRAR it tries to extract but when it comes to an end it tells me something like this file is incorect some bs. And this d/l server is too slow. I have 4mb persec download and it takes me 30 mins to download this file.
- eksol - 11-06-2004, 04:29:AM Jumbo..could you please record this match
You (Arsenal) vs Chelsea at Stamford Bridge so it`ll be an away match.. you still select Arsenal`s home (red/white) jersey.
Match lenght at least 10mins or more. And I know you don`t like Broadcast camera so can you use Broadcast 3 camera , and play the match only with *** as difficulty. If you can`t/won`t play with this cam then select the one you like/enjoy.
Select to play at night in summer season (short sleves)
Your condition set it to good, and Chelsea to Normal.. and for Referee select Meira or some this like that..use geoMERLIN ball and you`re ready to rock and roll. One more thing when you are done selecting teams and options go to formation and put Edu instead of Gilberto Silva, and then put Reyes and throw out Bergkamp..
Mayor 11-06-2004, 04:38:AM I personally prefer play the game by myself insead of watching middle res movie without sound ;)
- eksol - 11-06-2004, 04:52:AM I`ve just finished watching your movie, fixed the prob with winRAR. The movie is great alot of passing I play with the similar style alot of passing/long shots/crosses. Excelent Jumbo, keep em coming..
for some odd reason this game is so familiar :D:rockman:
jumbo 11-06-2004, 10:35:AM lol eksol. i might record arsenal vs chelsea.
i'll use the new ball i just imported - blue roteiro. :rockman:
i put in in place of that ugly red geo merlin.
lol, i finally learned how to use the wepicstudio and asf explorer.
i'll makin my own patches. :mrpimp:

I'm trying to encode one of my games too, but I can't find the correct settings : file too big, or atrocious quality.
what do you use in virtual dub ? what codec, how much bitrate, etc. ?
thanx guys.

I only use Virtual Dub if I don't do any editing. Normally I use VideoMan but here's what I do in VD when I use it: I just go into the video options, select compression and then DivX5.5. If you want to save on audio, go with PCM or worse, 8 bits, mono, etc. all the lowest settings.
Mayor 11-06-2004, 08:42:PM @Awax: I always use DivX 5.1 in virtual dub (you choose from codecs which you have installed in system, all of them should appear in Video -> Compression window
I double click at DivX 5.1 (if I remember well there is newer version via net) or click "Configure"
then, the only thing which I always change in "encoding bitrate"
it's the thing which depends the most at file size and quality
8000 - is compression without loosing quality
1 - guess what ;)
the most usable for me is compression in limits 500-900 (coz I usually upload replays to frutsel which allow up to about 500 kb file size)
yesterday I compressed Jumbo movie from 40 to 20 Mb and you could see just a little bit, almost unnoticeable differences comparing to original movie (can't remember which bitrate I used now)
the best method is trial and error, you compress the original movie with example 1500 bitrate quality and then you have from 500 Mb file some like 50 MB with good quality
then you have quite small file (comparing to original) which you can decrease in size by decreasing bitrate and see what quality satisfy you
for example, one of my goal replay uncompressed has about 80 MB in resolution 512x384 and takes about 20 seconds of time
after compression 4000 bitrate it has still 512x384 res and 8 Mb - quality is fantastic but too good for internet bandwidth
in bitrate 800, the same movie still looks good and take just 1.9 Mb
decreasing bitrate quality I could go down to 500 kb and it still doesn't look ugly
so we can mess with bitrate, ok; but of course we can make a movie in smaller resolution what brings us beter final effect as pretty small file
additionally, you can go to "Filters" menu and tune brightness & contrast a bit, coz usully PES/WE movies are too dark
***********************************
about compressing soundtrack...as I wrote before PES/WE soundtrack doesn't require superb mp3 quality, chants and commentaries are mono, 16 bit and 22 khz if I remember well so for example Jumbo movie, it could take no more than 2 Mb I guess
previous jumbo compressed only video without compressing sound, so sound was still uncompressed wav and took about 40 Mb; if he would compress it it could take just I wrote, about 2 - 4 Mb
how to compress sound in virtual dub?
"Streams -> Stream list -> Right click at available stream and select "Full processing mode"
then "Compression" menu under right click should appear now, click it and you'll see the list of available sound codecs and their parameters. I suggest using Mp3 format, everybody has it in system (coz everyone listens mp3, doesn't? ;-))
in right click menu you can also set volume level and the other stuff which you can hear before compressing how it will be "hearable"
sounds are important too, good to hear good chants and goal jingles during watching someone gameplay movie instead of fan of your PC...
here (http://frutsel.terrainhost.com/frutselapp/dump/Mayor/PES3/replays/figo%20fago.avi) is the short movie I used to make a screenshot, if I would decrease sound quality it could be even smaller
Thanx alot Mayor and jumbo.
I'll show you my skills :)
Btw, do you encode directly to DivX or you choose the uncompressed file type (UYVY or something like that) ?
What kind of Bundle did you install ? Cuz I don't have many codecs in the list (same for audio or video). My recent format phuked everything up :(
Mayor 11-06-2004, 10:45:PM I open uncompressed avi/mpeg from your video recorder (for me it's Taxi) and I choosed directly in video settings DivX and in sound settings Mpeg Layer-3 (Mp3)
about codecs, I have many many codecs and can't remember names ;) all of them appear in codecs list in Virtual Dub
