What type of music are we all looking forward to? I wanna see some Bodyjar in there, preferably too drunk to drive. Also, when someone finds some information about the tracks, put the link in this thread.

View Full Version : FIFA 2005 Soundtrack Thread Victorious 12-06-2004, 10:00:AM What type of music are we all looking forward to? I wanna see some Bodyjar in there, preferably too drunk to drive. Also, when someone finds some information about the tracks, put the link in this thread. Rochester Rhino 12-06-2004, 10:40:AM You probably won't see the track list for a while, the songs have been getting better since that horrendus soundtrack in FIFA 2003, but the older ones were the best. ishan1990 12-06-2004, 12:47:PM I loved 2004's soundtrack and euro 2004 was good too. I just hope 2005's wont suck as much as 2003's. I also doubt that were going to see a track list for a while. We barely know anything about the game yet. LilPlayaJosh 13-06-2004, 02:36:AM For the North American version they should use Hip Hop or some Rock music... that other crap From '04 just got annoying IMO. I want music I will know not music I cant understand. Torrie425 13-06-2004, 02:37:AM I hope they have some old songs for the old fifa fans. I would like to see some songs from fifa RTWC peteukusa 13-06-2004, 03:48:AM At Gamespot they say that they are going to use 'Throwback Trax', which will have some 80's and 90's. Rochester Rhino 13-06-2004, 05:41:AM Originally posted by peteukusa At Gamespot they say that they are going to use 'Throwback Trax', which will have some 80's and 90's. Really, can you give me a link to the article, becuase I haven't seen it. Hyun 13-06-2004, 10:03:AM but everything sucked in the 80s with some few exceptions. like the fact that i was born.:crazyboy: crazy techno is needed. loads of it. Victorious 13-06-2004, 11:28:AM Yeah and some chill out as well, like Moby and The Source in FIFA2001, Gorillaz in 2002...Forget 2003, and Goldfrapp in 2004. Safri Duo - Played Alive is the best ever song thats been on FIFA IMO. peteukusa 13-06-2004, 08:55:PM Originally posted by Rochester Rhino Really, can you give me a link to the article, becuase I haven't seen it. http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/sports/fifasoccer2005/news_6100244.html They have signed a contract with EA. deporter316 14-06-2004, 10:18:PM I wanna see some THRILLER Rochester Rhino 14-06-2004, 10:47:PM thanks Rport03 15-06-2004, 03:20:AM Well me personally I liked the music in 2002,03, and 04. I think if they mix the type of music from all of them it woud be great. Hip Hop I dont think so.. Rock maybe, but deff some good fast beats. Like I said just mix the "style" of music from the past few years and It will be great... PornStar 15-06-2004, 06:58:AM They really should just add a music player to the game where you can import your favorite music tunes into the game. kwan0023 16-06-2004, 12:16:AM i would like a little hip hop in it, EA has to realize that alot of African-Americans love soccer. LilPlayaJosh 16-06-2004, 01:59:AM Originally posted by kwan0023 i would like a little hip hop in it, EA has to realize that alot of African-Americans love soccer. I think most American teenagers like Hip Hop and would rather have Hip Hop than the music from other countries that isnt in English and sounds weird anyways..... thats why I said the North American/or just American version should do it. ishan1990 16-06-2004, 11:39:AM i disagree, i hate it when they individualize this game for the americans. I want the international sport, the international music and everything every other country gets. I honestly dont like a lot of american music. I prefer other types. i want 1 world game (except for language translations) i would be mad if they made a north american version The fifa 2003 cover with landon donovan (in u.s.) on it made me mad. Just think what adding different music to the american version would do.:crazyboy: manutd12 16-06-2004, 11:52:AM true that, americans don't know sh*t about football, they call it what.....SOCCER? we should have japanese or european programmers who make this game, cuz americans don't know the magic of football..... they've improved this last titles, but they still not have the touch and detail konami does, they add small details which make you believe they really make an effort on the game.... *btw, hip hop sucks, i like the soundtracks as they are...i found them rather original...and the fact that is english, latin music makes it betta LilPlayaJosh 16-06-2004, 12:14:PM Originally posted by manutd12 true that, americans don't know sh*t about football, they call it what.....SOCCER? we should have japanese or european programmers who make this game, cuz americans don't know the magic of football..... they've improved this last titles, but they still not have the touch and detail konami does, they add small details which make you believe they really make an effort on the game.... *btw, hip hop sucks, i like the soundtracks as they are...i found them rather original...and the fact that is english, latin music makes it betta actually most of the guys working on FIFA are European. And Just because they know alot about soccer doesnt mean anything obviously. Oh and Theres magic in soccer? Victorious 16-06-2004, 06:34:PM manutd12, dont come in to this forum to start a flame war. There is a designated forum for that. Australians call it 'Soccer' too. You see Australia and America have different football codes...So we can call the game anything we bloody want. You've been wrecked by LilPlayaJosh once, I think we'd all appreciate it if you kept your negative comments to yourself, or at least post them some where else then the FIFA soundtrack thread. kwan0023 17-06-2004, 12:25:AM What do you mean that Americans know nothing about soccer, I would put my knowledge about this sport against yours any day and to the best of my knowledge the North and South Americans team had a better showing in the World Cup than most Europe teams. We need Hip Hop in this game, this is a game for the world not just Europe Soccer_Fan09 19-06-2004, 05:56:AM U want Britney Spears in their, oh yeah, why not add some Misfits, and Snoop doggy dog lol. No offence but its a world game and a lot hate that kind of music. It has to have a beat and their good if they relate to the game. So the best way to go is dance, techno, soccer specific songs, reggae, and maybe a bit of rock donovan929 21-06-2004, 08:38:AM re:manutd12 *btw, hip hop sucks, ----------------------------------------- bizzare of D-12 would say: ***** r u retarded. keep that **** to yaself. u could get ya *** kicked goin around sayin that.:kader: shpankey 24-06-2004, 06:29:PM The US will never accept Soccer as a bigtime sport. Football and Basketball are just so huge. Not to mention Baseball, which is also big. Golf is kind of the hot thing here now. Soccer's not even on the radar, I mean really. And nobody even knows anything about MLS even though it comes on ESPN. 1. NFL Football 2. College Football 3. NBA Basketball 4. College Basketball 5. Baseball .. big huge gap .. Golf Hockey .. bigger huger gap .. high school football .. gargantuan gap .. flea racing farting for competition thumb twidling .. enormous gap .. soccer I'm sorry. Just nobody cares. Soccer is a punchline from sports fans here. Even ESPN was making fun of Soccer during the amazing World Cup games. As great as those upsets were. Nobody here cared. At all. For me, I'm a new fan. I played a lot growing up and play in leagues today... although even I admitt, I watch all the top American sports foremost. The only Soccer I really dig to watch is World Cup (which I truely love), WC qualifiers, Premiership and the EURO stuff going on now. Amazingly enough, we get the Euro games in HDTV here (although not live, it's taped delayed). I just watched the England v. France game tonight on In-Demand-HD (HDTV) and just wow, what a game!!! Although I (as an American) was pulling for our brothers, the English against our hated hated hated French (the French aren't liked by most Americans, I'm sure it's mutual though). Anyways, I was heartbroken for the English. I'm ranting, so I'll stop now. But don't hold your breath for America to ever accept Soccer, it won't happen. Trust me. Never. Rochester Rhino 24-06-2004, 09:30:PM I wouldn't say soccer isn't on the radar, its popular its just not on tv. portofan61 24-06-2004, 09:45:PM It really bothers me when ESPN would rather show horse racing or golf than a champion's league game. I feel as though I live in the wrong country most of the time because soccer is my favorite sport....it sucks to get so excited about soccer here and everybody looks at you like you've got two heads. I'm waiting to hear "so, like, is manchester united from manchester new hampshire???" ishan1990 25-06-2004, 12:48:AM meh, its a screwed up country in terms of sports.:kader: Golf and Horseracing over football? I'm moving out of here as soon as i'm 18 Rochester Rhino 25-06-2004, 01:54:AM Originally posted by ishan1990 meh, its a screwed up country in terms of sports.:kader: Golf and Horseracing over football? I'm moving out of here as soon as i'm 18 That's what I'm doing, as soon as i have enought money I'm moving to England where I can love the sport with everyone else. FKPartizan 25-06-2004, 08:49:AM I love how all the idiots on these forums keep arguing about soccer in america :kader: It will take time but US soccer is slowly getting better every year. now to get back on track with the actual topic at hand, I like the unusual choices of music ea makes and I don't think it should be localized whatsoever. Paco 4 25-06-2004, 11:13:PM Well, first thing, the real football is what people from US (not americans) call soccer, just think in the word, foot and ball, what the hell that has to do with american football (NFL), nothing, in the other case, what the rest of the world call football, is really a game played with the feet and a ball. shy_guy329 26-06-2004, 05:17:AM Originally posted by Rochester Rhino That's what I'm doing, as soon as i have enought money I'm moving to England where I can love the sport with everyone else. Heh I hope to move to England or Turkey. In Canada it's the same thing except just change basketball and american football with hockey. :crazyboy: Davilton 26-06-2004, 09:23:PM I've got a great idea: If you want to listen to brain-dead repetitve 'music'; just tune in to your local radio station! Alternatively, patronise your local rap 'music' store. Can't people do anything these days, without mind-numbing cacophonic crap playing in the background?? Oh... don't worry 'homies', I'm sure that 'FIFA 2005' will be bursting at the seams (as it were) with dumbed-down discordant 'music'. I also take exception to the view that most young people (even remotely) like rap 'music'. I have to concede however, that most people in society are just unthinking 'sheep'; and will take whatever the controlled music industry (and media) 'sells' to them. Most radio stations have 'play lists' these days, and they must be strictly adhered to; deviance from them, by a maverick 'DJ', means summary dismissal for him. That's why so many talented bands never make it to the radio. Let's have some melodic Indy/soft rock music- like NHL 2004! simcut 05-07-2004, 07:02:AM Max Sedgley - Happy (Spiritual South Mix) :-) FF7 05-07-2004, 08:03:AM Originally posted by Paco 4 Well, first thing, the real football is what people from US (not americans) call soccer, just think in the word, foot and ball, what the hell that has to do with american football (NFL), nothing, in the other case, what the rest of the world call football, is really a game played with the feet and a ball. man get over it  donovan929 05-07-2004, 10:27:AM here we go: put Faithless- Mass Destruction on FIFA2005's Jukebox.. great lyrics Victorious 06-07-2004, 02:29:PM Originally posted by Davilton I've got a great idea: If you want to listen to brain-dead repetitve 'music'; just tune in to your local radio station! WilliamFAlmeida 07-07-2004, 05:22:AM I want a culturally mixed soundtrack. I like 04, but some of that stuff was annoying. soccer4evry1 08-07-2004, 11:26:PM Originally posted by Torrie425 I hope they have some old songs for the old fifa fans. Blockbuster2003 11-07-2004, 07:00:AM I Want Something from the hermes house band..they have so many songs..which perfectly to fifa passed (sry for my english, i dont know what passt [german] is called in englisch) Davilton 12-07-2004, 09:18:PM Originally posted by Blockbuster2003 i dont know what passt [german] is called in englisch) Fits (/is appropriate). A_Nono 14-07-2004, 01:59:AM About Football in America : You think its bad in the U.S -> try Canada .. we dont even have a pro league!! Its bad when they delay airing the Euro 2004 games so that they can show the U.S open of (shudder) Golf... And considering cities like Toronto and Vancouver where a huge majority of residents are from europe, SA and asia, you'd think those pencil pushers in broadcast would realize theres a big audience. About music: I think the Fifa 2004 soundtrack had good variety.. they should keep with the world music feel.. Rochester Rhino 14-07-2004, 04:55:AM Originally posted by A_Nono About Football in America : You think its bad in the U.S -> try Canada .. we dont even have a pro league!! you do have the a-league, even though its both american and canadian teams. ntigers2004 15-07-2004, 06:32:PM BEP - Retarded!!!!!!!!!!:rockman: :crazyboy: :rockman: :crazyboy: :rockman: Rport03 15-07-2004, 11:06:PM Its truly is funny here because me and a fellow Portuguese friend here were following the Euro 2004 games over in Portugal and people here at our job were like "Whats Euro, What is that?" lol and we would say its the European Championship games. Now you all have to think about this, America has many many many sports, American Football, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Raceing, Horse races, etc.... the Rest of the world have Football / Soccer whatever you wanna call it. To me its getting bigger here but not big enough to blow out basketball and US Football, as if someone went to europe they have the NFL Europe, noone will proably talka bout because its not that huge. So its not "fair" to bash america just because one sport isnt so popular, even though it is a world wide sport. Now for the music..... Add Hip Hop, why complain about you not liking it, the game isnt made for just YOU the game is made for everyone, and EA does give you the option to turn it off, which of course is a great feature. I like what they had in '04, give me some Rock, some techno, some hip hop etc.. from all over the world just like they did in '04 IMO when I think of music for a football/soccer game I think of fast beats techno type music with a tad of rock into it. Exactly how the past fifa's were. But if they really want to add more music add hiphop for those who like it, add rock, add freestyle, add techno, add as much as possible but I wouldnt make it high priority. Again for most of you, dont say "I dont like this nor that" when at the same time you want variety, its stupid. Let them add whatever they want and heck like I said if you dont like it tough and just turn it off. they give you the ability so stop being lazy and just spend the extra 2min and turn them off plain and simple... Stop crying and play the game not listen to the music... TheBizkit03 15-07-2004, 11:08:PM something from snow patrol (H) modena_10 16-07-2004, 01:29:PM i wish they would just put soccer music on it, like ole, some of the themes that are used in the nike/adidas commercials, something that just gives you the feeling Koenning 20-07-2004, 10:34:PM Why not just have lots of variety, and then you can take off what you hate with EA Trax... Personally, I reccomend The Hives, Jadakiss, Jay-Z, The White Stripes, The Pixies, and The Ying Yang Twinz. However, I realize that EA may not be able to sign all these artists... Lonestarr022 30-08-2004, 12:34:PM Where am I able to listen to some of these songs on FIFA 2005?
