People, this is priceless and pretty funny... Just after the game ended, I visited the Euro 2004 official site (Portuguese version) and I saw this (pay attention to the group standings):

Seems they (like almost everybody) weren't counting with that amazing comeback so late in the game. Those last 3 minutes were very exciting!

(some of you may have already seen this on the England vs France thread... sorry)

Yeah, the headline at soccernet.com was

"England hold on"

I had to have a friend tell me that France won.

KNOWONE expected that would happen, knowone in the world.

Websites probably do it for all kinds of games but just don't get caught. I mean when in any other game does the opposing team come from 1 down to win 2-1 with 3 minutes left?

Hmm

Reminiscene of "Dewey Defeats Truman" and more recently "Calgary Wins the Stanley Cup"

Help?

HAHA! reminds me of the 99 CL final, when Blatter almost award the cup to the wrong team. MAnchester United scored 2 goals, while he was riding the elevator down to the pitch, he was pretty confused what happened, when he came on the field.

hahaha that site is soooo screwed up.

I'll be trying to read the live updates at school sometimes, and they're completely wrong, i remember a few times they posted random scores...they said some game ended 1-1 but it was 2-1. It happens so often.
