Do you guys tink taking off your shirt after a gol is bad?

I don't think so, the players should have the right to do whatever they want after they score.Wedon't care about sponsors.Who dux?If we watch a footy game its to see the players, the game, gols, and there celebrations and to party with the rest of the fans there.

Not being able totake off your shirt is stupid imo.

I don't really like it as a celebration when players take the shirt off.

But i don't really see why it shouldn't be allowed.

I love seeing the players' creativity with their celebration after scoring a goal. For those of you in Europe you should see some of the touchdown celebrations done by Terrel Owens. in the NFL, but he has been fined a couple of times for it though.

It is a bit stupid to set a rule not allowing players to take off their shirt when scoring, what's the reason behind not allowing it anyway?

Probably time-wasting. I remembered Diego Forlan getting booked for taking off his shirt after he scored against Leeds in the Carling Cup of 2003/2004.

Forlan took about 2 or 3 minutes to put his shirt back on, probably couldn't find his head.:$

Wasn't that the home match with Southampton when we won 2-1 two seasons ago? He played without his shirt and was eventually told by the ref to leave the field and put on his shirt. :funny:

I think if you score a nice goal, then it is cool.

But if it a ****ty tap-in, then naw.

If you are fat then, (N)

They should be allowed to celebrate like that but not too over the top.

I really doubt you'll see football players doing some of the celebrations you see in the NFL. Although it would be hilarious to see someone pull a cell phone out of their boots and start talking it after scoring a goal.

If you're Ryan Giggs then no :|

I don't think it should be allowed on the national level...its disgracefull toward the country.....on a club level it should be allowed.

If you take your shirt off you get a yellow card. Blatter made that rule because something in the Muslim religon was against taking your shirt off.

Mikey

Maybe a fine, but giving yellow cards is just stupid. From experience, when you score a big goal, sometimes you literally cant control it.

Most player don't care about being carded when they take off their shirts after a goal, anyway.

Ryan Giggs should be forced to wear an undershirt, and wax his upperbody before matches if he's gonna take his off.

lol

no he rule is in place because SPONSORS did not like it. A player scores and removes his shirt, along with the sponsors logo.

I think its a dumb celebration anyways.

what about the Senegal WC celebration?(H)

Lol that Senegal celebration was classic, i love it because it creates classic moments such as Giggs's goal :f***: and Senegals vs France. Henry used to have messages under his shirt, before it got banned :(

buba3d
15-06-2004, 06:04:PM
The reason why taking off shirts is banned is due to the messages on underneath the shirts plus against some religon, this is what iv heard but not sure if its true or not.

I mean figo could score then take off his shirt to reveal a "**** you deco" shirt.

I dont really like it, but players should be allowed to celebrate the goals as they wish (just dont get naked ffs..). I dont think it's nice when a player scores a goal and throw the shirt with anger at the ground, i mean, it's kinda disrespectful.

Plus they dont show the sponsors (because the goalscorer who is being filmed, isnt wearing the shirt) during the climax of football, which is the goal. And i'm sure they get pretty pissed off too.

santino
16-06-2004, 09:21:AM
anything should be allowed as long as it's not offensive to anyone.........

and what if a player took off his shirt, went to a camera, and flashed the sponsor logo...would he be carded then?:crazyboy:

gagiz
16-06-2004, 06:13:PM
Ya that would be a very good idea santino.Nice job, you probly came up with a new celebation(y).....if no one did it yet:rolleyes:

We should have a celebrations thread where we can post all kinds of celebrations.

If only Effenber still playin`, he would take off his pants ( not his shirts, cos` it will against Blatter`s rule . . . ) after a goal and start jerking off . . .

taking the shirt off is not on but puttingthe front over your head is cool! :D
