What do you think of this idea of Catalunya, Euskadi, Galicia, Andalucia,etc..
having their own federations and their teams participating in competitions

Here's a link (sorry its in Spanish) regarding this issue:

No. If that happens so Madeira and Azores have the right to a NT too. And all regions of all countries too and UEFA will become not in a national teams conferederation but in a regional teams federation.

If the regional identity is that strong in Spain that they feel they need to have their own team...
Then why not i suppose.

But no point them hoping at the same level as the Spanish NT though

I'd agree if this was a thing about sport but they are using the sport for political matters. :kader:

Anyway, while they don't play against Spain (what would be absurd) I have no problem.

I think it would be absurd to field a regional team for any type of competitive tournament. Play as many freindlies as you want.

The thing that pisses me off is that this is all f*cking political. :kader:

That would be pretty stupid. What we should do is the opposite and try to be more united as a country instead of weakening and bringing up all this nonsense. We barely win international competitions as a country:rolleyes:

by the way we should try n come up with some lyrics for our national anthem its just sad when u hear other fans singing their anthem and then it comes to us and its like people looking at different places. i thought it was cool what the team did in the first game embracing one another but we need a dam song :f***:

then in that case the Spanish team should try to have more players from other teams, not always from the same.

And this is not all political Rusi, so people feel more identified to their region/city than to their country

It is all about politics. Why do they feel the need to seperate people in this day and age?

If this goes through, there are much more worse things that will come of this(non-sport related).

This law doesn't mean too much. It's like now but playing international tournaments and never in the tournaments that Spain play.

This would be good only for the nationalists. The sport would not win anything. If some day they play the Eurocup or the WC, the real problem would be for the players that will have to choose between Spain and their region. Almost all (I'd bet that all) would choose Spain.
