Anyone else out there consider the GC their favourite system? I have a PS2, N64, and a GC...and I get more enjoyment from the GC than any of the other systems. Lately I been playing Zelda:The Windwalker and Beach Spikers Volleyball to no end! :D

yeah, the gamecube is my favorite videogame console too and I think it's extremely underrated :D
My favorites games are Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, Eternal Darkness, Smash Bros, Metroid Prime, Zelda WW, Viewtiful Joe.

Oh and I have Beach Spikers also and I think it rocks! It's fun and easy to learn :)

oh yeah, 4 player Beach Spikers matches rule, the action gets pretty intense

Viewtiful Joe was great when I played it at my friend's house. (H)

Anyway about the GC, I always considered it a bit of a kiddie system, it doesn't really offer the type of games I'm into on a broad basis, it's more RPG's and the Zelda/Mario type games which I can't get into. So I'll just stick with my beloved PS2 (which is broken at the moment:( ). Having said that, I would get a GC if it was given to me for free...anyone?:p

Lately I gave my girlfriend her gamecube back :(

well, the guy had only sell a few things and he was ok.

the check cleared a week ago, and he hasnt contacted me since 2 weeks ago. and Ive emailed him 3 times without response :(

the GC could be in its way to me but I have no idea.
Ive contacted ebay about it and they have a program where they get the guy to answer me.

they also have a program in which they give me back the money minus 25 bucks for the process.

itd suck if I ant the guy to send the GC, I mean, Ill get the money back but still the auction was so good and it was cheap. hopefully he had a PC problem or something :(

I hate to say it, but not him not answering emails is not a good sign :(

I purchased a GameCube a couple of months back, and regret it greatly.

I only got for FF: CC, but that's not even enough for me to still hold on to the GCN.

hey, how is FF:CC in just single player mode? it looks like a cool game, but all that gameboy multiplayer stuff seems a bit over the top for me..

FFCC didn't have good reviews mainly because of the multiplayer thing shinji mentioned.

Yeah, I prefer the PS2 much more. My GCN is collecting a lot of dust mites.

I think the old-school FF fans [much like myself] will be turned off by FF: CC, mainly because it isn't your typical RPG turn-based game. The graphics are amazing, but when it comes down to the gameplay, it simply isn't for me. You either like it or you don't.

I think Nintendo were inspired too much by SEGA's PSO multiplayer thingie, which is why they put it in FF: CC.

class game (H) i have 14 GCN games so i like the system! :D

it is a totally underrated system. It still has that 'myth' that it is a kiddies platform like the 64 made for itself :(

tbh i've never really rated the gamecube, but thats prolly because i've never really owned or played any nitendo systems and such. It just appears to me as phil sed, aimed more at the younger generation with its bouncy, round kinda look, but i admit that i wouldn't pass up the chance to have a go on one :)

Don't diss the N64. Ever.

Nintendo was fun for me during my youth years. I've kind of grown out of that kiddy-game phase, and that's Nintendo's problem. They DON'T grow. It's rehash game after rehash game with Nintendo. They're living off of their old products, and it get's tiresome after a while.

I'd rather play the original Super Mario on the NES or SNES as opposed to that disgraceful Mario Sunshine anyday. The same thing applies to Zelda.

I dont need to buy a GC, I just tell my 7 year old cousin that ill play with him, and he will give me his GC for a week or so untill my aunt calls me to tell me I have to turn it back (:/)

Zelda is no kiddy game dude, neither Mario (sunshine is, but not the rest) but, I totally agree with you. I dosent grow, I guess its ok for them cuz 8-13 year old kids rather play those kinda games than 14-80 ppl, so they sell.......

yes, Viewtiful Joe is an excellent game. It's basically an adventure game with graphics that leave the impression you're inside a comic book and you have the power to slow/speed up time and all that stuff.

I just got the cube a couple of days ago! (metroid prime bundle + soul calibur 2) I can't wait for re 4, fifa 2005 and the next zelda game. :rockman:

nah, they're doing the Nintendo DS (handheld) but they will make a new console (better than gamecube) in the future. just not to compete with the releases of xbox 2 and ps3.

they always do that, release the new consoles way after the competition (or most of the times I think)

The GameCube was the worst investment I've ever made. Ever. Thank God I only purchased it for $99.99. Advice? Stick to an Xbox or PS2.

Cool RE4 Package Yesterday I went to Gamestop to pick up my prime2 tshirt and I went ahead and reserved Resident Evil 4 while I was there. The guy asked me if I wanted collectors version and said how it has a Metal case, soundtrack CD, original art and something else. I quickly reserved that, but this is the first time I heard anything about it. I have been watching RE4 very closely and I never heard about this before yesterday. So whats the deal? Matt responds: Nice find. Just got the scoop from Capcom on this and it turns out that GameStop is indeed offering a unique RE4 package to its customers. I should note that this is not an official Capcom-branded Collector's Edition Resident Evil 4 set. The game itself will not be any different from versions sold at other stores. That said, the GameStop version does sound pretty cool. While GameStop is handling all of the production costs, Capcom is supplying the retailer with a number of cool art-related extras. Here's what you get:

Hakeem, well I live in Canada and future shop has the games in decent price. Since you live in USA, i'll say just check out walmart, best buy, EBgames, GameStop. You gotta check out there websites or flyers to see when they give stuff on sale and so on. OR if you have ALOT OF TIME in your hand, just go to blockbuster and rent a game for a week and beat it.

I've lately rekindled my apprieciation for this system, after becoming increasingly dissapointed with Winning Eleven 9 on PS2 I deceded to fire up the GC and play around with it again. I've been playing MLS Extratime 2002 for a solid week now and I had totally forgotten how fun this game is. It's a simpler game with the ISS engine I beleive (correct me if I'm wrong) but I'm finding it more enjoyable than WE9. Been playing a few rounds of Mario Golf and Beach Spikers Volleyball too, both a ton of fun.

I think I'm getting to the point where I'm not so obsessed with needing "realism" in games and just want something fun to relax a bit with after work or before going to sleep... Still got the respect for Nintendo.

Pick up F-Zero GX if you get a chance.

My brother got a copy for $10US, fun game.

here in portugal no one cares about gc..i hardly get a game..but the ones i have are lots of fun..that's the edge that gc has over the other consoles..


edit...i was thinking of modding it,anyone know anything about it? coz it'd be easier to get games...i could just download them:p i know it's illegal, but it's nearly impossible to get a game here..
