Zola makes Rovers move

Tranmere Rovers have snapped up highly-rated Newcastle United striker Calvin Zola.
The 19-year-old has penned a two-year deal at Prenton Park.

Zola attracted the interest of Rovers boss Brian Little when he played against them while on loan from Oldham Athletic.

"Calvin is a young lad who impressed me when he played against us for Oldham," Little told the club's official website.

"He is a big strong centre-forward who has been well coached at Newcastle.

"He has loads of potential and will be able to fulfil this at Tranmere."

I wish the big guy well. Another one of our young players who have never panned out for us. I suspect he will do well in Division 2 or League 1 or whatever they are calling it now a days. I still can't believe he is only 19.

Well, in the time I've played CM I've come across Calvin Zola(Newcastle), so seeing the thread started by a Newcastle United supporter gave it away for me. :ewan:

but for the rest of u, it couldnt be gianfranco zola because he just went to cagliari last season and brought them back to the serie A, it's a pretty cool story when you think about it, went back to his home town, resurrected the team(H)
