View Full Version : your best 10 club teams of all time?
dror_khayat 11-07-2004, 04:56:AM hellow. I want to know which historicall club teams were the best ever, in your opinion. please give me everyone a list of your best 10 (not less) club teams of all times. for each team in your list mark the period. I mean, mark specific teams, for example:liverpool- early 80's, etc... one more important thing- mark only club teams without the national teams. after you give me your best 10 I will give you mine.
pasion1 11-07-2004, 05:06:AM Well these are pretty easy.....but are in NO order whatsoever (EXEPT for #1 which is some might not agree.....but like 80% of the world see as unarguable to be atlest #1 or #2 in history)
10) Uruguay- Nacional 71 (holy **** what a team)
9) Italy- Napoli 80's (just historic)
8) Italy- Milan Late 80's and 90's (one of those few super dominant teams)
7) Brazil Sao Pablo- 90's (amazing)
6) England- Liverpool early 80's (Classic English Football)
5) England- Manchester 60's (Bobby Charlton....Nuff said)
4)Argentina- River Plate 95-96 (really liked that team)
3)Argentina- Boca Juniors 78-80 (Boca owned the world in 78)
2)Spain- Real Madrid 60's (Only beaten by Benfica and Penarol in serious finals)
1) Uruguay- Penarol 60's (Its dominance has never been matched......beating Real Madrid in 66 and going on to be the only club to actually go as a nation in a world cup (Uruguay 66)....and actually lost only in quarter finals.

Newcastle 1993-1997
Kamikazi football arrived and made a star of Andy Cole. Then Kev went nuts.
Arsenal 2002-2004
It's rather fun to watch Arsenal these last couple of seasons. It flows so well and looks so great.
Newcastle 1950s
Wor Jackie brought us a couple of FA Cups. Huraah!
And national sides....
North Korea 1966
Came unstuck thanks to Eusebio but there's no shame in that.
South Korea 2002
We all got behind them. Bless their lil' faces.
Austria 1930s'
Would've been great if Mr. Hitler hadn't have marched in.
Hungary 1950s.
Mighty Magyars. Complete with Ferenc Puskas.
Greece 2004
Efficient and well-organised.
Spurs4Life 11-07-2004, 09:47:PM I don't know why people continue to post countries in there list of great teams when the thread started clearly stated "no countries, club teams only".

It's bloody hard to come up with 10 club teams, though! Especially when there are certain loyalties involved.
Hendrik 12-07-2004, 02:09:AM Guys, you can't select Holland 74 and let Germany 74 out. That's impossible. :p
Club list:
Milan early 90's
Ajax mid 90's
Bayern 74-76
Liverpool 80's
Real Madrid 60's
Benfica 60's
Barcelona early 90's
I can't think of more clubs which deserve to be in that list. Those teams have all dominated European football during their prime.
Forgive me about leaving South American teams out, I don't follow their leagues.

dror_khayat 14-07-2004, 02:01:PM hay!first of all, thank you for your replies. now, my thoughts about this subject are: I have 6 favourite teams that would be surly in my list. those teams are:
milan late 80's/early 90's
ajax mid 90's
ajax early 70's
juventus mid/late 90's
liverpool 70's and 80's
real madrid 50's
now, about the rest 4 teams, it's a littel more difficult. I have a dyllema between those 6 teams:
barcelona early 90's
santos early 60's
benefica early 60's
juventus early/mid 80's
inter early 60's
bayern munich late 90's/early 2000's
I don't know to select 4 teams from those 6, or to eliminate 2 of them. so, I would say that all those 12 teams I mantioned are my best of all times.
