Im guessing Adriano wont play. Unless of course Brazil wants to secure first place.

I will state my predictions tommorow. First time in this cup a thread has begun 2 days before!

FF7

parreira said he'll make 3 changes in the squad
i think julio batista may have a chance

Lean
14-07-2004, 04:25:AM
Julio Baptista, Bordon and Maicon are set to start i guess. If he's starting Ricardo Oliveira, he should keep Adriano and sub Fabiano. Or maybe he'll sub both Fabiano and Adriano to play Oliveira and Vagner Love. It would be good to give the reserve strikers a start, for match practice at least.

An obvious Brazilian victory. :o

FF7
14-07-2004, 12:25:PM
i agree with you..
he should put vagner and ricardo oliveira upfront

anyways i guess it will be 3 - 1 Brazil

Paraguay is already qualified for the second round, even if they lose this game.
If Paraguay wins the game, they win the group.
If Paraguay ties the game, they finish in second place.
If Paraguay loses the game they might end up in second place or third place depending on what Chile does against Costa Rica. The two best third places teams qualify for the second round and Paraguay is one of them along with Uruguay.

Probable Starting Line ups:

PARAGUAY

1 Justo Villar

2 Derlis González

15 Pedro Benítez

4 Carlos Gamarra

14 Ernesto Cristaldo

20 Julio Dos Santos

8 Edgar Barreto

13 Carlos Paredes

21 Aureliano Torres

10 Diego Figueredo

19 Nelson Haedo

BRASIL

1 Julio César

13 Maicon

3 Luisâo

4 Juan

6 Gustavo Nery

8 Kléberson

18 Julio Baptista

19 Diego

11 Edú

7 Adriano

22 Vagner Love

no matter what happens in this game Paraguay will qualify at least in second place because Chile did not win against Costa Rica :D

Aveirenses
15-07-2004, 08:35:AM
That Fabiano goal! :o

This guy is the real deal!

Adriano isn't playing half bad either but he's wasting a few chances here and there.

For me, the Copa America has been MUCH better than Euro in terms of exciting, attacking football, but it lacks atmosphere. It's sad though, teams bring their second choice to come play, but they put on a damn better show than the stuff in Europe people had to endure to watch. Only thing lacking in Copa America is the crowd-turnout. This game has SOOOO many empty seats in a stadium much smaller than Euro's smallest stadium. The Greece's of Copa America, at least are capable of playing nice beautiful football, and that's a reassuring thing.

But hey, I don't mind being able to hear the Brazilian's saying "CONA DE CARALHO!" to the reff! :crazyboy: :crazyboy: :D

Half-Time now...

Brazil have been playing a nice fluent game, and I think if things keep going how they are and Brazil become more efficient in terms of not wasting chances, they will surely win this in the second half.

Coming from you. You're such a fool. I've had a "fight" with two guys on sg and you're one of those.

Is it hard to accept that no one likes your sorry ass or what? You've been banned before for being an idiot and the next ban is not too far away either.

Good night.
You can't ban someone for getting on one person's nerves, especially since you're the one who decided to start off by attempting to insult me, in fact for the past month, you've been insulting me in half the threads I post in. I've been banned twice, and everyone knows the second time wasn't justified, but that's not what you're trying to argue, in which case I ask, what the hell do you want, because I honestly have no idea what calling me a dumbass and telling me to shutup after every post I make, is going to accomplish... :)

Oh, so I can add douche to the list. :)
