View Full Version : How sad am I ?
tonymead 26-11-1999, 01:44:AM 87:36 My goalkeeper throws the ball to my right back who then plays it inside to a central midfielder, he is imediately tackled from behind on the centre circle, free kick! (time elapsed 88:24, it's 1-1 and I need to win to progress to the knockout stages of my custom league, I'm Leeds United and my first try at the top level).
89.22: I'm running at the defence, Hurdle one, and another, just the keeper to beat....... and I slot the ball sweetly into the bottom corner of the net, it's 90.04. I leap off the chair scream like a madman, frighten my 2 year old little girl to death, so much so she's crying for half an hour, my wife now hates me but hey, I'm through to the knockout stages of this game. Am I sad? You tell me, anyone else?
Tony Mead (33 and a half)
chau le 26-11-1999, 01:58:AM Yes, you are sad Tony! I'd never frighten my two girls no matter how excited I am !
Chau Le (just turned 39)
tonymead 26-11-1999, 02:22:AM Hey Chau. Whatever you do, don't show them a close up of F2000's rendering of Lucas Radebe (Leeds United) that WILL frighten them!
By the way, I was beaten in the first stage of the knockout rounds by Bayern Munchen (Munich), I did'nt frighten anyone this time as my wife and little girl have left me :-(
Love to all footie fans worldwide
Tony Mead.
No sadder than me. I even find myself screaming at the ref. You wanna see the looks I get from my girlfreind.

King Kenny 26-11-1999, 08:27:AM Does beating up the keyboard count in this
sadness contest (I'm single so there's no one to scare except the neighbours)?

GEORGE 26-11-1999, 09:39:AM WHY DONīT YOU GUYS GROWUP.HOW EXCITED YOU GET BY WATHCING SOME DUMB PIXELS.SHAME ON YOU.
Fat Bhoy Tim 26-11-1999, 01:37:PM Screaming because you won,hmm
I scream constantly at that terrible offside ruling
about 70% of the goals i concede are solo WAY offside runs
Tis sad,and so am I
Hail Hail the celts are here
King Kenny 27-11-1999, 01:08:AM I like this guys!
This topic is so much better than the usual my-country-is-better-than-your-country crap. Some people on this forum actually have a sense of humour. What a relief!
Keep up the good work, it looks like even Ric is tempted to a few personal words here.
Cheers,
King Kenny.
Russian Rocket 27-11-1999, 04:25:AM All, I do when I am losing an important game is I change difficulty level and kick computer's a**.
I never take it easy if I loose; broke the keyboard and almost smashed it on my brother's head once.
I play not to win, just to see the reality.
Great post!
Russian Rocket (Dmitry) (15) What can I say; I am young too

You guys need to take it easy. All I do is give the finger to the ref. Also the other team seams to get into little 'accidents' if you know what I mean. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
Paul (16) -> What can I say, I'm a little kid
Stephen A 27-11-1999, 06:58:AM If I know for sure that I'm going to lose the match - which is often - I'll see how many of my players I can get sent off by fouling the goalkeeper before he can get rid of the ball. I've managed four so far. Has anyone actually done this and scored (I would hope that the computer disallows it)?
Very childish, I know, but I've never handled defeat very well.
Stephen (33)
Stephen A 27-11-1999, 07:17:AM Actually, we think we may be sorry people but if you really want to see sad just read some of the "my-country-is-great-and-yours-sucks" stuff elsewhere in the forum.
I agree with King Kenny, this topic is much better. At least its got something to do with the game which is after all what its about, as some of the others seem to have forgotten.
King Kenny 27-11-1999, 10:35:AM Thanks for the backup Stephen.
I'm afraid it's pretty much impossible to bury the goalkeeper and score, even with the foul slider at the lowest setting.
If such a lowly, childish deed would really satisfy you that much, I suggest you try it in training mode ;-). Works every time.
You can also play in a very attacking formation and intercept the ball everytime the keeper throws it out. Just shoot on goal immediately. Not only does that make the CPU look very stupid, it can also bring you the goal you so desperately needed.
Next topic: How low can we go?
Cheers,
King Kenny.
Neo_9 27-11-1999, 11:19:AM Im ust agree with u that this is a gvery good topic and I just hate those " Best player in the world..." etc..
What has that got to do with FIFA2000...
Well anyway I must say that I donīt lose my temper as much as u do guys but what do I know- I'm only 17...
By the way. HATE THE BALL.
SEE YA (The Swedish boy)
tonymead 28-11-1999, 10:20:PM Hey Guys. Thanks for all the kind words on my topic starter, some of the posts were brilliantly funny, I especially enjoyed the little 'accidents' that happen to the opponents.
Thanks again
Tony Mead
