Aye, I want to do some rasterbating (http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/) (H) but I want to check how the images will look in black and white before I do it.

I can't remember the name of the function, but you can do it by using colorise, or on the hue/contrast/lighness thing.
that rasterbator-thing's really nice. I once did a 12-letter paper rasterbation of a ghettoblaster. It looks pretty good on my wall.
I remember that there was a pointillise/rasterize function on PS7 too, but I can't remember all the names of the functions without opening the program (:/)

go to image>mode>grayscale

or, you can use:
press Ctrl+U> move the saturation lever all the way to the left, and click ok
