Rest of Europe
Rest of America
Africa
Rest of Asia
---------------
And no other...
How can you speak for Europe if you don't even live there or lived?
That's funny 'cause you still belive that MLS is the great. This is rediculous to have 12 teams and be the best. Real futbol doesn't have a drufts and shotouts.
Ste Lloyd 24-08-1999, 07:41:PM To Evil, if you are talking to be, I am from Europe
sorry, it wasn't to you. It was to murilio.
Kella 25-08-1999, 02:32:AM No guys, Fifa series are very popular in US, because lots of european people live here and buy Fifa games
DirkDiggler 25-08-1999, 05:14:AM Here's my list:
Scottish
English
Italian
German
French
Spanish
Argentinian
MLS
Dutch
Brazilian
Rest of Europe
All International Teams
Ste Lloyd 25-08-1999, 06:43:AM There is no such thing as the Great Britain League.
The MLS is rubbish (laughable)
I'd prefer to see lesser european leagues like russian and israeli because this game will be more popular in europe than in US.
ronaldofan#1 25-08-1999, 04:12:PM hi everyone. i just want to make one suggestion about a league that i think (maybe) should be in fifa. the iranian league. i know you are all gonna groan and say that is a stupid suggestion, but i reall think they deserve to be there, specially if japan, korea and the us are making it. iranian people are passionate about their football and the local derbie between esteghlal and perspolis (sorry if you haven't heard the names hehehehe they are the two major clubs in iran) draws crowds of over 100,000 on most occasions. and if it is not over 100,000 it is something like 90,000 which is still a great crowd. also the iranian club esteghlal made it to the final of the asian club championships where they narrowly lost 3-2 due to a little bad luck and bad preparation. so i hope you will agree now that maybe iran does deserve a place, particularly if they are putting others in. if you don't agree, i respect your opinion. thanks c ya http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
JamesLight 25-08-1999, 08:18:PM This is my list (in no order):
Italian, divisions 1-3
German, divisions 1-3
Spanish, divisions 1-3
Portugese, divisions 1-3
French, divisions 1-3
Brazilian
Argentinian(maybe)
English Divisions 1-3(maybe)
Rest of America(includng N. America. From what I have heard it is a poor league).
Asian Teams, 10-20 of the best teams.
I also think that there should be spaces so people can create their own leagues and teams to go in the leagues.
Ain't you crazy? I wouldn't include Portugise league at all! The same about second and third divisions
Jimmious 25-08-1999, 10:01:PM Sorry to dissappoint you all but:
1)Jap.League sucks!
2)MLS also!
3)African also!
4)Greek/Portugal Leagues Are Perfect!!!!
5)That's all folks!
NastyRHCP 26-08-1999, 12:38:AM haha... portugal and greece? whats next? the trinidad and tobago league?
besides.. who would play a 3er division league from england, besides english people?
i say
spain, italy, english leagues 1-2 divisions,
german
brazil
argentina
best teams of europe
best teams of america
best teams of africa-asia
maybe france, .. then the european cup tournaments and the libertadores cup for sure
Skeet 27-08-1999, 11:48:PM To Evil and NastyRHCP:
Why the hell wouldn't you include the Portuguese league?
The Portuguese and Greek leagues are well qualified in the UEFA ranking, they are some of the leagues with most teams on the European Cups and you don't want them on FIFA2000?
PORTUGAL has some clubs like BENFICA (that has Poborsky, João Pinto, Preud'homme, Enke), FC PORTO (That has Jardel, the world's major goalscorer last season, Vitor Baia, Drulovic), SPORTING LISBON (That has Schmeichel, Iordanov, Duscher) AND REMEMBER that Portugal has a big tradition in the European Football with Benfica's 2 European championships and FC Porto's with his European championship and one Intercontinental cup.
PS - Do you remember the name Eusebio? Yes, one of the world's best players. His Portuguese too.
Ste Lloyd 28-08-1999, 12:57:AM Played for Benfica too. A top side in the 60's
Death 28-08-1999, 01:00:AM You all missed Greek league. I'm Greek and I know that Greek teams are better than Japannese, Mls, Portoguese, Swediss and Turkish legue that you are yelling about all these days. I haven't see Greek football That good for ages. Names: 'Zahovic, Giovanni, Pflipsen, Sigurdsson (Unknown but he's a SHARK), Valencia, Ciric, Biekovic, Nikolaidis and lots of other players Greek or Foreign. Last year Olympiakos was defeated by Juventus but it was a close game. Conte made them pay. This year with players like Giovanni what place will he have. Greek football IS AT LEAST twice better than last year. Maybe he lost from Roma but it was a friendly, outdoor and Olympiakos wasn't himself. And Aek lost from Aik but if you see the game you will understand that Aek had more possesion and made more shots. I didn't saw Panathinaikos playing with a Europian team so I don't know how he's playing. Don't ever say that GREEK league Sucks. At fifa 99 / When I saw the stats I gone crazy. Good players where bad and bad where good but not even some names where true. They where not REAL.
Death 28-08-1999, 01:10:AM My "List"
Italy
England
Germany
Spain
France
Netherlands
Greece
Brazil
Argentina
Sweden
Mls
Russia

Austria
Rest of world 'up to 100 teams maybe'
Skeet 30-08-1999, 12:56:AM TO STE LLOYD:
BENFICA a top side in the 60's?
It's true that Benfica has a big tradition and won plenty of trophys in the past, but the Benfica's present it's almost so brilliant has the the past.
PS. Benfica was a finalist of the European Champions cup in 89/90 and a semi-finalist of the Cup Winners Cup in 93/94. As you see Benfica's is also a topside of the 90's.
Dimon 31-08-1999, 08:22:PM My list:

Dimon 06-09-1999, 03:08:AM 2 FB Turk:
How can you rate leagues not knowing ratings of UEFA and stuff?
U R Wrong!!
Turkish league is not better than Russian league!!! In fact, I have full rights to say, that Russian league is better than yours.
You have listed just 4-5 stars,
like Taffarel, Hagi, Ilie, Amokachi,
and the rest of you list are unknown not only to me. We have players that are unknown to the world, but they are not worse than players listed by you>
Panov, Russian ITL
Berezovsky, Armenian ITL
Radimov, Russian ITL, played in Real Zaragosa
Demetradze, Georgian ITL
Smertin, Russian ITL
Oganessian, Armenian ITL
Dzhnashia, Georgian ITL
Gorlukovich, Will retire sometime this year, played in Bayern Munich
Shmatovalenko, played for Dynamo Kiyv, USSR ITL, Ukrainian ITL
Parfenov, Ukrainian ITL
Semak, Russian ITL
Dragush, Romanian ITL
Khomukha, Turkmenian ITL
Nidergaus, Kazakh ITL
Tikhonov, Russian ITL
Baranov, Belarus ITL
Khlestov, Russian ITL
Left:
Alenichev, ROMA
Skachenko, FC Metz
Gurenko, ROMA
Juran, ?????, but he played in Dynamo Kyiv, Benfica, FC Porto, Milwall, Bochum
Koulkov, maybe Alverca
So, you see, that your Turkish League ain't better than Russian league. If you still don't believe it, look on UEFA ratings.
Turkey is 18th, Russia is 7th.

tripeiro 06-09-1999, 03:35:AM Portuguese league should defintely be there. I will say this...if ANY MLS team has a better rating thatn ANY team in Brazil, Belgium, Holland, Portugal...basically any league in the game besides the Israeli...I will never buy another EA product again!
FB TURK 06-09-1999, 04:07:AM thanks for that post DIMON, before i read your post i knew NOTHING about russian futbol or the players that played in russia.... russian league deserves 2 be in fifa 2k but it is not better then turkish league
a.d.e 06-09-1999, 11:21:AM Yeah the Russian league is the 7th but ıt ıs
because of the old good Russıan league and
natıonal team ıt ıs stıll usıng the old good poınts to be the 7th but the Turkısh league ıs always ımproving not falling down!
2 a.d.e.
you are not right
7 Russia 2,800 5,400 2,750 9,875 7,000 25,025
16 Turkey 4,250 1,625 6,875 4,400 3,200 16,100
look next year Turkey will lost 4,250 points, but Russia will lost only 2800
[This message has been edited by DeeR (edited 09-06-1999).]
Jimmious 13-09-1999, 11:12:AM First of all if the leagues were to be inserted with the FIFA order then Greek must be.Also Greek teams are very good (dont want to name players once more-they are really many!)and the Greek league has:
-2 teams in Champions League
-4 teams in UEFA/CUP.WIN.CUP.
And this as you understand means that it would be great if FIFA 2000 had the Greek League.OLYMPIAKOS WILL BEAT REAL 2-0!!!
Don't you know? Next year Russia will be represented by 6 clubs in euro cups. Isn't anough? Also, don't you remember last game between Lokomotiv Moscow and AEK , I think . I don't remember exactly what club it was, but it was from Greece, and it was 1/4 cup of winners cup. and Loko won. So, lets see can you do better this year or not.
