Porto will play this game with all his players i believe, at least our international players(Seitaridis and the portuguese ones) arrived today at Porto after their euro 2004 vacations and they will join the rest of the team tomorrow in Holland so i guess we'll see Porto at his best in Canada... ;) (H)

For some people it seems that only the players of the portuguese teams dive... i think we should talk about football and the game itself, not about stupid things like who dives most. :kader:

I agree everyone everywhere dives, but from what I saw yesterday, I don't think I've ever seen so many players on a team dive so much. I mean, if I wanna see all that diving, I'll wait for the Olympics.

yeah the portuguese are the only ones that dive in the world, the other teams could kill a portuguese player and if he fall in the pitch it's certainly a dive. it's portuguese is a dive for sure...

diving or not we are in the olympics and France, denmark or finland? hmm oh i remember they were kicked out in the U21 euro qualifyings...

haha I love it, a guy with a Brazilian sig (and with Rivaldo on it!) talking about diving! You know why there's so much diving going on in the Portuguese league?...because half the players there are Brazilian. yeah, you better recognize, sucka..

I meant the actual sport of diving in the Athens Olympics, not the football teams. Where would the Portoguese league be without Brazilians? Anyways, I have nothing against Portugal NT or its Clubs, I just simply pointed out that I noticed that I have never seen a team dive/flop so many times in one game. Maybe it was just that one game I saw, maybe not.

Alot of players dive. So what, let em dive. If they're good enough to fool the ref, more power to them. It's up to the ref to punish them on the field. I'm not going to get upset about it.

Much better off, young Portuguese players would actually get a chance to play instead of having to give up a spot to some so-called "craque" from Amazonia Monkey F*ckers FC. Btw, since you don't watch much football, and I can tell you don't....Porto won the UEFA and CL cups with a roster that was vastly made up of Portuguese players, that's where we'd be. Don't talk about what you don't know..

Thank you for clarifying. I was just merely stating an observation. Like I said before this was my first time watching. To tell you the truth, I am part Portuguese so there really is no reason for me to hate the teams.

I feel bad for ppl in Chicago. Ferguson is a jackass, and always has been, he told Saha, Van Nistelrooy, Scholes to stay home, when guys who got as far or further at Euro were playing.

Yesterday i was at Porto-Liverpool, and thats the way its supposed to be. A good crowd, and two teams that tried and put on a good show. When Liverpool entered field crowd went nuts. When Porto entered, they got booed;) . Porto brought a heavily disapointing and depleted side (no Euro 2004 players, like all of you assured me would be there:kader: ), but that didnt matter. Quaresma played, and he played exactly the way he played at last years tour, amazing and exciting. Porto had 3 or 4 scoring chances in first half, and they all came from him. Liverpool brought their full team, including Milan Baros (you hear that Ferguson??). The game was great first half, than it got a little passive for fist 20 min of second half than it picked up pace, and last 10 min were amazing. When Carlos Alberto scored, judging by his celebration (and teams), youd have thought he scored a the winner in CL final. You could tell both teams were ACTUALLY TRYING, which was pretty impressive. Oh, and the sarcastic applause when Jorge Costa entered was priceless. Was anybody else there? did you guys see the fights in Liverpool end second half?

Anyways, im going to tonights game, and the crowds willl be prob better considering the Celtic support and the huge population of Italians in Toronto area.

It's the name of a song i just heard today. It's from a band called The Dissociatives (Daniel Johns is the vocalist, if you dont know who he is, he's the lead singer/guitarrist for Silverchair, this band is a side project). I liked the name and the song, so there ya go.:)

You know, I see you trying to make an arguement on these forums... but you see, you never actually make it clear wtf you're arguing about... could it be because part of your brain does not function correctly? Maybe, PERHAPS...

I wasn't backing what Luis said, so that alone made your post voidable to an arguement, let alone a thoughful point of view.

Grunger decided to take what Luis said and apply it at a more general level. If Luis had said "Brazil are just monkey ****ers," then he would've applied it to all of Brazil, BUT ALAS MY YOUNG SEXUALLY CONFUSED AND KIND OF AN IDIOT FRIEND, he didn't...

About the game, it was never a friendly in the sense that the players were pretty much fired up and not holding back. Great to watch, it couldve gone either way in the end. It's all rather experimental with Rafa and the team at the moment but we were never outclassed which is good as whichever players Porto fielded, they are the reigning champions of europe. Thought we should learn quite a few things from Porto in the way they kept possession and their solidity in defending, with and without the ball.

Roll on Roma.

edit: almost forgot, Quaresma's the beesknees

I dont think i agree with you. He said using the Portuguese talent in the team is much better than getting a "craque" FROM Amazonia ****ers FC. Which means getting a craque from Brazil.

If he didnt mean it as a nation, he meant it as for brazilian footballers anyway, and that's just as offensive. But i wont argue, although i'm still gutted and now i just despise someone i used to respect.
