Heskey hurt in friendly

Birmingham's record signing Emile Heskey has been taken to hospital for a leg scan after sustaining an injury in his side's draw with Osasuna.
Heskey, who joined from Liverpool for £6.35m, fell awkwardly in the 16th minute after attempting to control a pass from Stan Lazaridis.

Osasuna opened the scoring through Valmiro Valdo in the 74th minute.

But the Blues equalised when Jesper Gronkjaer's cross was met by Jamie Clapham and his shot was deflected in.

Cut Heskey some slack. He'll be a fine contributer for Birmingham this season i think. Too often for the past 2-3 seasons he was used out of position at Liverpool and i think Steve Bruce will bring out the best in Heskey this season.
