I prefer the Serie A and the EPL. About Silva, i couldnt believe it when i saw that. I mean, no goalkeeper, no defenders, he and the goal from about 1-3 yards and he still missed it.

Nah La Liga > Serie A
La Liga top to bottom is the best. Just about every team can realistically beat another on any given Sunday.
I think Serie A is #2.

I see a lot of Real Madrid players (Jordi, Ricki, Rubén...) in other teams... last season, they were our ruin (Valdo, Morientes, García, Eto'o...)
Sevilla could be the big surprise, they look very stronge:D
That's great (Y)
I'll put it in the first post of the thread
Thanks :)
Also after each week, I'll post the updated table in the first post. :)

Yes, with all the tactics in Italy it's kinda easier. Still, player by player, La Liga defenders arent breathtaking i must say. That's why every attacker/midfielder loves to play in La Liga.

What do you mean?
What I usually do is go to soccernet and press PrintScreen
go to paint and just put it in.
Maybe I'll just post it like a new post an also edit the first page.
I like putting stuff on the first page like in the Real Madrid Thread :)

Exactly.
Dream Team 09-08-2004, 06:17:AM Milan have got the best defense in Italy. Milan 4 Depor 1, Depor 4 Milan 0. Not too much difference and Depor have not got the best defense in Spain.

You didnt need to bring that up did ya?:f***: Anyway, that day Milan played the poorest football i've ever seen in my whole life, plus the complacency from some of our players, it was just admirable. The apathy, the lack of effort, everything. That match we didnt even try.
Depor on the other hand played the game of their lifes, so much guts and stuff. Thumbs up for them. You cant compare defenses in both leagues judging by a one 2 legged encounter though.

I am very proud of the way we bring players up from the lower categories and still manage to not have been relegated in the history of la liga.. so you can take that money and shove it.. because there is more pride in what Athletic does.. than what Madrid do.
Can't stop the rush... 13-08-2004, 07:58:PM ..and you guys will never win anything.
There is really no point in arguing about pride. We have(the club and supporters) it and you guys have it, the difference is we win things.

dannyeli 14-08-2004, 09:32:AM Farinos returns home to Mallorca
MADRID, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Spanish midfielder Javier Farinos has joined Real Mallorca on a two-year contract from Inter Milan, the Primera Liga club said on Friday.
Mallorca said the 26-year-old former Valencia player would be on loan for the first season before becoming the property of the Spanish club.
The midfielder left Valencia for Inter in June 2000 for $17 million, but failed to establish himself as a first-team player at the Serie A club.
He played on loan at Villarreal during the 2002-03 season and will be reunited with the club's former coach Benito Floro, who is now in charge at Mallorca.
The midfielder's arrival will help compensate for the loss of leading striker Samuel Eto'o, who was sold to Barcelona for 24 million euros.
'He was our number one choice to strengthen the midfield,' said Mallorca president Mateu Alemany.
I really liked Farinos before he signed with Inter :)

Vicenye's free-kick was pretty nice.
faceNside 22-08-2004, 05:10:AM Boring match on Valencia side as usual; they just keep defending in their own side of the pitch, trying to score in any counterattack. Ranieri is italianizing them even more than last year.

I'm sorry for you if you can watch TVE international. I advice you to just use it to watch football. Any other program you could watch could seriously damage your mental health.
You'll be able to see the hightlights on sunday and I guess the saturday night match. I think so but I'm not sure if TVE has the rights for La Liga.

how in the world is that team going to beat the re-inforced Sevilla!!
Dream Team 28-08-2004, 08:59:AM I was serious, I think they'll win La Liga.
Actually you should admire them, they're from a small city, fighting against big populations with an inferior budget than a lot of teams of Segunda Division, making a new team every year because they can't buy any player, almost all are loaned players and they're still in La Liga.
They got Momo and Ruben from Depor for this season, I think there are worse teams. The last season they were the worst(on the paper) after Murcia but they weren't relegated.
hanek45 28-08-2004, 09:08:AM I know. I resect that "small city" thing. ALl Im sayin is that they dont stand a chance against Sevilla. They lost 4-1 last time they faced. :p

0le_Spain 29-08-2004, 12:04:AM Ruben (last years top goalscorer in 2nd division and spanish international in lower categories) and Momo are two very good young players Deportivo got from UD Las Palmas via debt (Schürrer). Deportivo loaned them out to Albacete so they get experience. Momo is a left mid who is fast and skilled but needs to polish his game a little bit and get stronger(like most young players). Arsenal were rumoured to be interested late last year on both of them. They both had a pretty decent preseason with Deportivo and i know some fans were mad Depor are going to loan them out since they didn't sign anybody up to this point.

Yossarian 10-09-2004, 10:08:PM Can anyone who watches Kizito Musampa play regularly give me an indepth breakdown of his abilities and best attributes? I've only seen him in a couple of games and he's impressed me quite a bit in those occasions

He did a crap seasson last year, being benched several times, but i liked him a lot when i played at Malaga.
He isnt very quick but has good dribbling and a great mid-range shot. In fact he scored a lot of goals in his last seasson with Malaga.
Hope he recover his level this seasson (except when Atletico plays against Madrid (H) )
BTW Athletic 3 - 1 Valencia; Barsa 1 - 2 Sevilla
valioso 11-09-2004, 11:13:PM gol Athletic 1-0 (Urzaiz)
hanek45 11-09-2004, 11:15:PM Asi se hace Athletic :shades:

Dream Team 11-09-2004, 11:34:PM nice dive by Yeste
valioso 11-09-2004, 11:35:PM well.. the ref just forgave Marchena his 2nd yellow
valioso 11-09-2004, 11:45:PM according to as ronaldinho is out for today
0le_Spain 11-09-2004, 11:49:PM That dumbass Parreira playing him in a friendly :f***:
Dream Team 11-09-2004, 11:49:PM I don't know why Valencia bought so many players, they're worse than the last season.
Urzaiz had the third but he, absolutely lonely, headed just where Cañizares was.
Ronaldinho is also responsible of his injury, he knew that today we play to Sevilla but he still decided to play that friendly. It's not a surprise because all Brazilians live for their NT.
Crusad3r 12-09-2004, 12:15:AM Valencia is not so strong as one year ago, they lost Benitez, they lost all.
Their team was working OK, and they spent a lot of money to buy italian players that arent better than the Valencia 2003-2004 players...
Valencia you got what u deserved !
valioso 12-09-2004, 12:18:AM gol di vaio.. handball..
Dream Team 12-09-2004, 12:20:AM looooooooooooooooool, what a hand! hahahahahhaha

valioso 12-09-2004, 12:22:AM is gotta be one of the worst refs I've ever seen..
valioso 12-09-2004, 12:30:AM 2-2
valioso 12-09-2004, 12:48:AM FT- horrible ref, Athletic should've had won. Yeste was the best man of the match.
Dream Team 12-09-2004, 12:48:AM Athletic deserved to win for the first half but Valencia got an undeserved point.
That hand was so obvious..
It wasn't PK either..
valioso 12-09-2004, 12:49:AM i cannot believe Valencia let Benitez go..
micho 12-09-2004, 01:14:AM Beckham scored for madrid 1-0
hanek45 12-09-2004, 01:31:AM lol :p
(talking about the Bilbao Valencia)
That ref is ****....
Bilbao deserved to win. Yeste man of the match (Y)
I agree with the Benitez thing, although I dont think buying Di Vaio was a bad idea...
Madrid is winning by one against Numancia. VAMOS NUMANCIA!  :(
Raikkonen 12-09-2004, 03:14:AM ******* ref!! if Valencia players start to cry (AGAIN!) about the referees, they will be hypocrites :kader: :kader:

of course they'll complain.. the handball and the forgiven red card.. I think Valencia had over 30 fouls in the match.
anyway, Athletic played to win the 90 mins and never gave up trying to score one more goal. Thursday we'll see how we fare in Turkey
micho 12-09-2004, 06:47:AM how did real madrid do in general today
cause i went to this other forums and people there are just complaining about how slow was the midfield, also they are talking about Raul and how useless he was
some people even said that if we stayed like this, we wont be able to go to second round in the CL
so i need to know exactly how was our preformence today
Can't stop the rush... 12-09-2004, 06:52:AM YES!
No goals allowed so far.(H) :crazyboy:
hanek45 13-09-2004, 01:09:AM what the f*ck...
Deportivo de La Coruña - Osasuna 1-3

Real Sociedad tied with Villarea 0-0
Racing beat Levante 1-0
Getafe and Mallorca tied 0-0
Zaragoz and Malaga also tied 0-0

Drvar 13-09-2004, 01:11:AM Lol, Osasuna scored 2 goals with a player less. Someone got redcarded in the 58th, while it was 1-1, Osasuna won 1-3. Damn, Deportivo sucks :).

Betis would have to fight for not being promoted this seasson if they continue playing that way.
You mean they would have to fight against relegation.
