Is the KIT format in WE7/PES3 the same as in WE8?

Will we able to import kits rom WE7 into WE8?

Yes, the formats are the same, but the BIN encoding is different in WE8. We'll have to wait for a new version of WEPictureDecoder before we can import new kits into WE8...

most likely it will be the same since someone found a texture in the afs and it was the same...

it is true Vieri and Maldini, and we can't view the kits in the afs, however we can view the blank ones, like in WE7, but these aren't used in the game

The size of the template is different (larger in WE8 allowing for more detail which is a very good thing). And as you may know, the ripple in the shirts is different too. Every kit that was made for WE7/PES3 will, have to be redone for WE8/PES4.

But Jim, you're fanatical - you'll have to have all the kits redone right down to Bamber Bridge and Cambridge City in the non-league!

I'm still doing lower league stuff for WE7, there's some on my site if you want them

If it hasn't been seen yet, is there any kit in the game that makes it possible to tell if the back and/or sleeves have a stretched mapping still?

Back and sleeves still look stretched in game.
Actualy the template or format or texture looks similar, though there are some small differences here and there and they look more shiny to me. The collared kits also seem to have smaller 'wings' which is good.
But my assumption is that Konami's only slightly changed the format in order to just don't let us use the old kits.

I think its good if there is a bigger template. That will mean that the quality of the kits will be a little bit better then last year. I hope it will be possible to introduce second generation kits like in fifa. Where the template size was dubbel sized.

Thats my wish for PES4 (H)

Why should we have 2 GK if the kits in PES 3 already looked better than that format in FIFA?
