Naturally, as the game progresses and players retire, the database evolves and replaces the real players with fictional ‘regenerated’ players. SEGA and Sports Interactive are offering you the chance to be one of these ‘regenerated’ players.

To be a “Face in the Game” all you need to do is submit a digital photograph of yourself which will be used as the face of one these ‘regenerated’ players. In addition to getting your face in the game, you can give your name, age, favourite club and as many details as possible so that Sports Interactive can add depth to your new digital persona. To enter, visit www.sigames.com/faceinthegame now to ensure your chance to be a “Face in the Game.”

"Right from the very beginning, we've encouraged our fans to get involved with the game and many of them have,” says Miles Jacobson, Managing Director of Sports Interactive. “Now, all players of our games, and future players, have got the perfect way to get more involved with the game and be a part of it."

Guidelines

There are a few restrictions as to the style of photos which will be acceptable: the shots should not contain any team colours, for example. Also, as regenerated players are usually aged between 18 and 22, only photos which represent people within that age range will be used to depict players. All other photos supplied will be used to represent either coaches or physios.

Yeah, the pic is actually from a photo shoot, we went to have a family pic taken, and the photographer liked me so she wanted more pics of me for advertising purposes :confused: I just edited the background and my shirt for CM :mrpimp: You think I'll pass for an 18 y.o.?

But I think they might just categororize pics by skin color (white, asian, black, mediterranean, etc.) not nationality, and then code the categories to different regions.

I think the club is just so players have a favourite club when they come through, rather than a random one. There will still be normal regens without pictures so doesn't mean england will have more.

I think they are checking every picture (as anyone sending in stupid pictures obviously won't be entered). Im sure the nationality you put will be the nationality of "you" in the game.

Also found out the number of winners of this is only limited by CD space.

Well of course they do :|

Example...

USA:
50% of new players would be White
30% Black
10% Asian
10% Mediterranean/Tanned/Whatever youd call it

England:
80% White
20% Black

etc etc

The number of winners isn't nescessarily limited by the disk space either, as they are thinking of releasing a patch with all profiles that weren't drawn. :p

I hope they do it like that, Kader, regens have always been a bit flawed in the game.

No they aren't doing that, not all regenerated players will have a picture. Otherwise it would be pointless entering your nationality. So it is likely there will be alot of English players with pictures, and obviously some more obscure countries will be unlikely to have any. They will defintly just leave the nationality people enter with as the one in the game.

I'm wondering that too .. if the game will have our real names or if the game will make up names to use with our photos. Might be hard to actually find our own pic if the latter is the case!

It isn't. But not many regens will appear in a 3 month game, so about 100% of the winner can not actually be found in the demo. On estimate.

Well, the demo is a simply demo, but in the real game, when we could get the opportunity to play more than a year, I hope I could see my name with my pic, otherwise, it'll be almost impossible to find that out.

As I see on MY FM, the first game with non-real players anyone appeared on their favourites teams (I searched all of you, and that exactly occured, I'm at Central, Ruud at Vitesse, and so on, don't know about Kader, 'cause I found him at Lecce, but well, I'm just knowing you guys) but on the second they were all random, I was at Fenerbahçe :confused:

Bit disappointed to be at Brighton on your game, was hoping to be at a Non League side, hmmm maybe on someone elses game I will :D.
My picture is far from a work of art but I have just had a scan the regen pics folder and there are quite a few people wearing club colours, indeed there is someone who has had their pic taken with Old Trafford in the background.

I told you I was in the game it seems I am having the last laugh now.

Also the photo I sent them was a photo I had got tooken a year and a cople months ago I look more different now.

Wasn't there some kind of age restrictions? 18 to 21 years or something like that? These look a bit older :p

I deleted all regen pictures(H) They ruin the game, if I get a nice regen in my team with good stats, I dont want him to have a face of some 11 year old with sunglasses and a cap on.
