I play anderlecht in the belgian devision but even against a weak premier devision team as kv-mechelen it's still a risky buissiness using a 3-4-3 formation against them.

my 3-4-3 formation:

3 central defenders (no sweeper)

2 wingers, 2 central midfielders

3 strykers

is there any 3-4-3 formation out there that might give better results than this one?

I am by no means an expert on CM 99-00 but I play a 3-4-3 type formation (i.e it uses the same sorts of players) I use 3-1-3-1-2 I took the 3-4-3 formation and moved one of the midfielders to an anchorman position (the kind of position played by Batty(when fit), Ince, Sherwood in the premiership).

I also find playing a support man instead of a third striker works best, especially if you have Joe Cole.

You will find that 3-4-3 wont work against good teams because their tactics depend on yours. They counteract what you throw at them. The formation works against lower teams because it doesn't matter what they do you should be superior.
