View Full Version : FM Wishlist Tom 28-08-2004, 02:31:AM What do YOU want from FM2005? however unrealistic, post what you think and why, try to make the posts as long as possible! TROD. rpvankasteren 28-08-2004, 02:36:AM  Isn't it a bit late, the beta about to be released and all? Maybe you should ask for wishes for '06? Anyway: I would like to see amateur side management. I've always missed that. Tom 28-08-2004, 02:38:AM no i said 05 god dammit man! lmao I would like to see a media system that actually works, what i mean is i want to see EFFECTS. When i abuse a rival manager it should have an effect on the pitch, i always get the feeling with CM that a lot of the media is superficial. TROD. JuniorBriano 28-08-2004, 03:05:AM I'd like hotseat multiplayer to be improved, ie. allow more than one team to have good form at any time. It isn't just me this happens to is it? My teams good for a few months, then the good form go's to my mates team. We call it the champ. man. penjellum - get rid of it!!! Tom 28-08-2004, 03:06:AM agree completly, but only with CM4 and 0304, before that it didnt use to do it CM0304 DEFINATLY does it. TROD. JuniorBriano 28-08-2004, 03:11:AM yeah, thats why its so frustrating - it never used to happen! Zlatan 28-08-2004, 03:11:AM My biggest wish is already in here: Media involvement. Also an option in which I can say 'shut up and go sit on the bench' when a player starts to complain about that he wants a place in the first team. shokz 28-08-2004, 03:16:AM Feeder clubs. for example, if you are the manager of Manchester United, you can farm young talent out on-loan to Shelbourne FC, Royal Antwerp, Sporting Clube de Portugal etc. and the ability to offer players on-loan rpvankasteren 28-08-2004, 03:23:AM That option is in, the loan-offer :) Tom 28-08-2004, 03:57:AM you cant offer players on loan TROD. rpvankasteren 28-08-2004, 04:02:AM In FM you can :) Tom 28-08-2004, 04:05:AM sorry, i meant in CM0304, lol, good to see that one is in FM, was needed. TROD. Áļéאָ 28-08-2004, 04:34:AM yeah, and more teams asking players for loan. (from you and other teams). It's a very common thing nowdayz in football. rpvankasteren 28-08-2004, 04:36:AM :S I get dozens of offers in my games? PSVFOREVER 28-08-2004, 04:36:AM Me too. Tom 28-08-2004, 04:37:AM not for loans i never do. TROD. rpvankasteren 28-08-2004, 04:37:AM That's weird. (:/) TottiNZidaneR#1 28-08-2004, 04:39:AM I rarely ever get offers for loans from others teams eventhou i have the best u19 and reserves:confused: Gerrard 17 28-08-2004, 06:41:AM When my 18+ finishing players are 1-on-1 with the goalie I want more than 1 out of 20 shots being goals rather than the CPU goalie getting a 10 in every game :| Tom 28-08-2004, 06:55:AM that was a big problem with one of the earlier versions on 0304, you sure you have the latest enhancment pack kader? TROD. Gerrard 17 28-08-2004, 07:00:AM 4.1.5 rpvankasteren 28-08-2004, 07:10:AM still does that for me too, yes Tom 28-08-2004, 07:11:AM doesnt do that for me i have to say, maybe their one-on-one stat is low   TROD. rpvankasteren 28-08-2004, 07:13:AM As Kader said, 18+. I use 19 or 20 strikers myself. Tom 28-08-2004, 07:15:AM kk, fair enough i suppose that needs to be changed then! lol TROD. Parra Power 28-08-2004, 12:00:PM please for the love of god make heading and pace NOT be the two most important stats in the game :kader: some smarter defenders would be nice too  Fernandez 28-08-2004, 01:52:PM Loan swap... Example: Team A make a loan offer for Team B's player, R. Team B wants to loan Team A's player, S. Both clubs reach a deal to loan the player to each other. Ya dig? :p Gerrard 17 28-08-2004, 10:58:PM Originally posted by Parra Power please for the love of god make heading and pace NOT be the two most important stats in the game :kader: some smarter defenders would be nice too  Yeah, it's pretty annoying. If your CB doesn't have like 17+ pace/accel you're gonna get slaughtered by the top strikers. On the other hand, if your defenders have good heading they'll stop every cross :crazyboy: For everyone else their speed is most important as well, which is unfair. A player like Zidane isn't fast at all, and he'll still **** anyone up in real life. Well, not in CM. PSVFOREVER 28-08-2004, 11:28:PM I know something I want: The pitch must have correct sizes, look at the CM03/04 one. The goal line is waaaay to big or the sideline is waaaaay too small. celtic_bhoy 29-08-2004, 07:51:AM maybe some sort of post match interview type thingy, were you could critise and praise players after games or critise the whole, something along those lines. Lean 29-08-2004, 07:56:AM Yeah, definitely. I was going to post it, but you beat me to it. Plus, making what managers say in the post match interview affect relationship with your players or opposing players (like, if you call a opposing player a diver or something...). NIDOKING 01-09-2004, 12:55:PM An option, a single option that could be "Do you want to name this regen?" (when one regen is created, and of course, you can't know how good is he, only look the main stats at the beggining ability) It could be somewhat crazy :crazyboy: Oz_Leeds_Fan 01-09-2004, 07:18:PM I want to be able to set up tranfer deals as comlicated as Rooneys: United detail Rooney payments Manchester United this morning revealed how the contingent payments to Everton for Wayne Rooney will be structured in a statement to the Stock Exchange. Everton will receive a guaranteed £23million provided Wayne Rooney remains a Manchester United player until June 30, 2007. The Toffees could earn up to an extra £7million over and above the basic £20million transfer fee as United announced the breakdown of payments. The additional money is payable if the following events happen over the next five years. £1million if United win the Champions League. £500,000 if United are runners-up in the Champions League. £500,000 if United win the Premiership. £250,000 if United finish second in the Premiership. £150,000 if United win the FA Cup. £1.5million if Rooney extends his contract with United. £500,000 if Rooney earns 20 England caps in competitive games while a United player. £500,000 if Rooney plays a further 20 times for England in competitive games while a United player. Even if none of those things happen in the next five years the Toffees will receive at least an extra £3million, paid in £1million instalments on August 1 2006 and the same date in 2007 and 2008. Everton have also negotiated a 25% 'sell-on' agreement, under which they would receive a quarter of any excess sum over all amounts paid in this agreement. That would be sweet. Tom 01-09-2004, 07:46:PM quite possibly the most complicated deal.... in the world! TROD. Parra Power 02-09-2004, 09:30:PM oh i dont know.......... there are some very tricky co-own-one-player-and-loan-with-option-to-buy-another-in-exchange-for-gaining-half-the-rights-of-some-young-superstar deals between Serie A and Serie B clabs that are simply so difficult to understand that computers would not be able to run cm at all if it was included :o Tom 02-09-2004, 10:41:PM oh good point actually, isnt Nuno Gomez still owned by 2 clubs with ANOTHER club having some clause with him? im sure he is.. TROD. Zlatan 02-09-2004, 10:45:PM One of my wishes: Boards cannot only expand a stadium they can also decide to make a whole new stadium with a whole new name. Daz 03-09-2004, 12:31:AM I'd like to be able to assign Playmakers and target men within tactics, and be able to assign players different types of strikers (e.g. RVN and Henry) champdave 04-09-2004, 04:50:PM I'd like to take Le Tallec back from St.Etienne . . :( SRB 04-09-2004, 10:23:PM Originally posted by Zlatan One of my wishes: Boards cannot only expand a stadium they can also decide to make a whole new stadium with a whole new name. thats not bad. but that would mean that the team would have to play somewhere else for a long duration of time... building a whole new stadium takes a bit more then just expanding one. Daz 04-09-2004, 10:25:PM Originally posted by SRB thats not bad. but that would mean that the team would have to play somewhere else for a long duration of time... building a whole new stadium takes a bit more then just expanding one. Well then they'd play in their current one until the new one's completed. I dont see the problem  PaPaGeorGeo 05-09-2004, 09:30:AM Yeh thats like the only good feature of TCM you can make these crazy stadiums(H) PaPaGeorGeo 05-09-2004, 10:45:AM I want to be able to tell players why they arent getting in the first team. At the moment i get soo many players wanting first team games i want to be able to tell them that they are sh*t or tell them that they arent playing well enough SRB 05-09-2004, 01:46:PM Originally posted by Dazmania Well then they'd play in their current one until the new one's completed. I dont see the problem  heh how 'bout that... you're right :( sorry, i can't have two thoughts in my head at once. and i tried to type the reply to the new stadium option while i still had the "stadium is renovating thought" so naturally i thought "where are the teams gonna play!?!?" but now you've pointed out the idiot within me. thank you sir :D good point though. new stadiums would be kind of cool... but my biggest wish is realistic gameplay... might as well wish for world peace. Parra Power 05-09-2004, 02:14:PM another thing....... fingers crossed the epl is not overrated this time go on holiday untill 2012....... u can be sure that 6 of the CLs will be won by an english club..... from a country that has produced one CL champion (and even that was a stroke of luck) in the last 20 years that is ridiculous  SRB 05-09-2004, 02:24:PM well maybe the game just chooses the winners based on level of talent in the leauge... i mean if i was to pick a winner in CL i'd pick a team in the EPL over lets say, poland or something. but, thats the whole thing, soccer is an unpredictable sport... and sometimes a higher talent level doesn't cut it. that "something" is what gets you upsets, underdogs and such. Parra Power 05-09-2004, 02:35:PM yeah.... but both italy and spain have better clubs, andbecause of the pro-england bias i get newcastle v liverpool CL finals :| champdave 05-09-2004, 05:19:PM Really? I get a lot of Shaktar and Dinamo Kiev finals (H) The only times Liverpool have got to the CL final is when I have been managing them :(:$ Neil_SI 05-09-2004, 08:01:PM There can be a slight bias towards teams in active leagues against teams in non-active leagues and we're working hard to improve and ensure there is a better and more realistic balance in Football Manager 2005. Áļéאָ 05-09-2004, 08:43:PM well in CM03/04 this certainly is a prob. Also "regens" are always coming from the selected country leagues only. Very few good players from other countries. Hope this is fixed in FM. I cant stand having selected the spanish, english and italian league and the only good players I can find in the game being from these counties. No good Dutch, French Argentine, Brazilian etc players PaPaGeorGeo 05-09-2004, 09:09:PM Originally posted by mixafendis well in CM03/04 this certainly is a prob. Áļéאָ 06-09-2004, 03:37:AM Originally posted by PaPaGeorGeo Yeh that would be a problem once u get further in youre game and want to manager national teams it realy is a problem. Most of the NT had all their players 30+. That was about till ~2013. Now in 2018 those teams realy suck. Brazil and Argentina could barely qualify for the 2018 WC! (they took the last 2 qualifying Spots in the south america group) Fernandez 06-09-2004, 07:46:PM Three overaged players can be called up for Olympics. More poaching of managers from other clubs. Realistic transfer fees for other countries.(players in dutch league should be dirt cheap unless they are quality, like Rommedahl) Board changes. More successful ban appeals and the ability to critisize refs. Managers can be banned or sent off from the dugout. rpvankasteren 06-09-2004, 08:10:PM Not the last one, unless you can give the ref a reason to do so... Parra Power 06-09-2004, 08:40:PM while were talking about realism etc.... it would be nice if it was less likely for big clubs to have REALLY horrible seasons..... in my 8 or so seasons in my last savegame one of the big 5 italian clubs always seemed to be battling relegation........ when IRL this would happen maybe once in a decade or so  PaPaGeorGeo 06-09-2004, 08:47:PM Originally posted by Fernandez More poaching of managers from other clubs. . I think thats bad. Its too hard to do anyway because really the for the manager to leave the club he really has to want to leave and then there is all the contract and legal issues that go with it Lean 06-09-2004, 09:10:PM I just want to be able to criticize referees after matches again, and that they get punished or something. Of course, if i overdo it (every match i start complaining for example) i get fined and i'll be banned for one or two matches (not being able to manage the team in the match, leaving it to the assistant manager or so). It would be realistic i think. champdave 06-09-2004, 09:52:PM Originally posted by Grunger I just want to be able to criticize referees after matches again, and that they get punished or something. PSVFOREVER 07-09-2004, 03:39:AM Hehe, on Cm4 with Fiorentina my player Ibrahim Said got a penalty hattrick in a time of only 14 minutes(H) In CM03/04 I've had a penalty hattrick as well, all goals in the same half too. At least in Argentina, Teams (mainly Independiente >.>) loans players for minimun 6 months :crazyboy: El Che 25-09-2004, 10:13:AM speaking of rivalries they should have media hype through-out the week when a big derby or big rivalry is going to be played(ie..Man utd v City or Barcelona vR.Madrid) including rivalries in champions league. also being able to arrange friendlies when you're managing a NT. At least in Argentina, Teams (mainly Independiente >.>) loans players for minimun 6 months :crazyboy: I will raise this with the team and see if anything can be done about it. Three-months is effectively the 'default' minimum and where there is no specific code for a certain league or division it will use the smallest option available (hence three-months). We can add support for specific nations so it shouldn't be a problem for us to implement. If you can provide me with further details on the length of loans throughout Argentina then I can relay this feedback to the team. NIDOKING 26-09-2004, 03:53:AM I'll search on AFA or some sites about our rules now. The fact is that is illegal for players to play in two differents teams between two transfer window. They're exception, when transfer window is still open and Apertura or Clausura has already started (so stupid we are that transfer windows ends at first week, second for free players), but in general, let's say Defensores loans "Andres Aimar" from River for 3 months, August, September and October ( this Apertura, for Primera A and Primera B Nacional, goings since August to December) he will be a Defensores players for all the mini-season, even if he returns to River. In November, when he's supposed to return according the loan contract, he can't play for River because he's a Defensores players on the AFA registers. Well, that's the way I know, I'll search from now on the rules and post it here, if I don't found this, I'll mail tycsports (TV signal in Argentina that has the rights of the Tourneys) asking the rules since they clarified a lot of people about different rules. If you wanna go ahead, www.tycsports.com, then search in "Programas" the show "Estudio Futbol". In the main page of this show, there are some journalists, ask who you want about this (I'll recommend Alejandro Fabbri since he is the conductor, a ppity an ex-referee has no contact, cause he knows ALL about our rules) Well, hope I could found that in time, if not, well, till FM6 I suppose |
