I would like to see a media system that actually works, what i mean is i want to see EFFECTS. When i abuse a rival manager it should have an effect on the pitch, i always get the feeling with CM that a lot of the media is superficial.

I'd like hotseat multiplayer to be improved, ie. allow more than one team to have good form at any time.

It isn't just me this happens to is it? My teams good for a few months, then the good form go's to my mates team.

When my 18+ finishing players are 1-on-1 with the goalie I want more than 1 out of 20 shots being goals rather than the CPU goalie getting a 10 in every game :|

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. If your CB doesn't have like 17+ pace/accel you're gonna get slaughtered by the top strikers. On the other hand, if your defenders have good heading they'll stop every cross :crazyboy:

For everyone else their speed is most important as well, which is unfair. A player like Zidane isn't fast at all, and he'll still **** anyone up in real life. Well, not in CM.

I know something I want: The pitch must have correct sizes, look at the CM03/04 one. The goal line is waaaay to big or the sideline is waaaaay too small.

maybe some sort of post match interview type thingy, were you could critise and praise players after games or critise the whole, something along those lines.

Yeah, definitely. I was going to post it, but you beat me to it. Plus, making what managers say in the post match interview affect relationship with your players or opposing players (like, if you call a opposing player a diver or something...).

"Do you want to name this regen?" (when one regen is created, and of course, you can't know how good is he, only look the main stats at the beggining ability)

Manchester United this morning revealed how the contingent payments to Everton for Wayne Rooney will be structured in a statement to the Stock Exchange.
Everton will receive a guaranteed £23million provided Wayne Rooney remains a Manchester United player until June 30, 2007.


The Toffees could earn up to an extra £7million over and above the basic £20million transfer fee as United announced the breakdown of payments.

The additional money is payable if the following events happen over the next five years.

£1million if United win the Champions League.

£500,000 if United are runners-up in the Champions League.

£500,000 if United win the Premiership.

£250,000 if United finish second in the Premiership.

£150,000 if United win the FA Cup.

£1.5million if Rooney extends his contract with United.

£500,000 if Rooney earns 20 England caps in competitive games while a United player.

£500,000 if Rooney plays a further 20 times for England in competitive games while a United player.

Even if none of those things happen in the next five years the Toffees will receive at least an extra £3million, paid in £1million instalments on August 1 2006 and the same date in 2007 and 2008.

Everton have also negotiated a 25% 'sell-on' agreement, under which they would receive a quarter of any excess sum over all amounts paid in this agreement.

thats not bad. but that would mean that the team would have to play somewhere else for a long duration of time... building a whole new stadium takes a bit more then just expanding one.

I want to be able to tell players why they arent getting in the first team. At the moment i get soo many players wanting first team games i want to be able to tell them that they are sh*t or tell them that they arent playing well enough

well maybe the game just chooses the winners based on level of talent in the leauge... i mean if i was to pick a winner in CL i'd pick a team in the EPL over lets say, poland or something. but, thats the whole thing, soccer is an unpredictable sport... and sometimes a higher talent level doesn't cut it. that "something" is what gets you upsets, underdogs and such.

yeah.... but both italy and spain have better clubs, andbecause of the pro-england bias i get newcastle v liverpool CL finals :|

There can be a slight bias towards teams in active leagues against teams in non-active leagues and we're working hard to improve and ensure there is a better and more realistic balance in Football Manager 2005.

well in CM03/04 this certainly is a prob. Also "regens" are always coming from the selected country leagues only. Very few good players from other countries. Hope this is fixed in FM. I cant stand having selected the spanish, english and italian league and the only good players I can find in the game being from these counties. No good Dutch, French Argentine, Brazilian etc players

My wishlist is that they "nerf" Newcastle and Betis. Two of the most overrated and annoying teams in CM.

it realy is a problem. Most of the NT had all their players 30+. That was about till ~2013. Now in 2018 those teams realy suck. Brazil and Argentina could barely qualify for the 2018 WC! (they took the last 2 qualifying Spots in the south america group)

Three overaged players can be called up for Olympics. More poaching of managers from other clubs.
Realistic transfer fees for other countries.(players in dutch league should be dirt cheap unless they are quality, like Rommedahl)
Board changes.
More successful ban appeals and the ability to critisize refs.
Managers can be banned or sent off from the dugout.

Not the last one, unless you can give the ref a reason to do so...

while were talking about realism etc.... it would be nice if it was less likely for big clubs to have REALLY horrible seasons..... in my 8 or so seasons in my last savegame one of the big 5 italian clubs always seemed to be battling relegation........ when IRL this would happen maybe once in a decade or so :confused:

I think thats bad. Its too hard to do anyway because really the for the manager to leave the club he really has to want to leave and then there is all the contract and legal issues that go with it

I don't think the manager thing would be too hard - it happens quite a lot now - like today with Graeme Souness.

thats a pretty good idea. i've had numerous matches where i've had one, two, sometimes 3 goals dissalowed, some games the other team was given 3 or 4 penalties in one game, and one time i got 5 red cards and 3 standalone yellows...:kader: make of that what you will.

Hehe, on Cm4 with Fiorentina my player Ibrahim Said got a penalty hattrick in a time of only 14 minutes(H) In CM03/04 I've had a penalty hattrick as well, all goals in the same half too. (Y) I won that game 3-1:p

Yeah, this one too. Especially because some of the grey players they have always end screwing you up. Definitely one of the most annoying teams on CM 03/04 (i always beat them, but it's always tough).

When i was at HSV in the last game of the season against Schalke away, i've had 3 players sent off, plus one injured when i already made the 3 subs. I won it 4-3.:p

In real life, can a player have more than two nationalities? If they do, then this feature should be added.

There are players with more than 2 nationalities on the game, one player, can't remember his name, Grunger knows him, he's a player at Chivas irl He had colombian, mexican and argentinian nationality on the game.

I agree that we could do with improving this aspect of the game and we're hopeful that we'll strike a much better balance in Football Manager 2005. It's definitely something we're aware of.

A player can have several nationalities and this is reflected in Football Manager 2005 (as it was in our previous game).

i would like to see alot more rivalry between big teams like arsenal and man utd, and like alot of hype over the transfer swoops.

At least in Argentina, Teams (mainly Independiente >.>) loans players for minimun 6 months :crazyboy:

speaking of rivalries they should have media hype through-out the week when a big derby or big rivalry is going to be played(ie..Man utd v City or Barcelona vR.Madrid) including rivalries in champions league.

also being able to arrange friendlies when you're managing a NT.

I will raise this with the team and see if anything can be done about it. Three-months is effectively the 'default' minimum and where there is no specific code for a certain league or division it will use the smallest option available (hence three-months).

We can add support for specific nations so it shouldn't be a problem for us to implement. If you can provide me with further details on the length of loans throughout Argentina then I can relay this feedback to the team.

I'll search on AFA or some sites about our rules now. The fact is that is illegal for players to play in two differents teams between two transfer window. They're exception, when transfer window is still open and Apertura or Clausura has already started (so stupid we are that transfer windows ends at first week, second for free players), but in general, let's say Defensores loans "Andres Aimar" from River for 3 months, August, September and October ( this Apertura, for Primera A and Primera B Nacional, goings since August to December) he will be a Defensores players for all the mini-season, even if he returns to River. In November, when he's supposed to return according the loan contract, he can't play for River because he's a Defensores players on the AFA registers.

Well, that's the way I know, I'll search from now on the rules and post it here, if I don't found this, I'll mail tycsports (TV signal in Argentina that has the rights of the Tourneys) asking the rules since they clarified a lot of people about different rules.
