Italy lost fair and square and this entire war of words over how they deserved to win is absurd.

I agree France deserved to beat Brasil in 98 they were the better team.
However, France deserved to win both times Italy deserved to lose both times.

Look at the countries france had to play to make it to the final

Portugal, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain

Look at the teams the Italians had to play

Turkey (wow), Belgium (not Empenza I think he's in the English 3rd Div), Romania (only down 1 man at least) and Holland PK's.

I mean come on beating the teams France had to beat is more than enough of a reason to have them winners.

Man are you such a crybaby .Your acting like a child .We beat those teams fair and square .We were probably the best opponents to ever face France in the last 2years(In tournaments) .I dont know why you dont give credit to the italian national team ,they deserved to reach the finals because they beat all these teams and your stupid argument about how thy dont face good opponents is really stupid ,like I said in my previous post ,what do u want italy to do ,ask the officials to put them in a group wich has all the biggest clubs ?All these things come randomly .

JUNINHIO:if Brasil is so good as you claim they are ,what happened against Uruguay a late penalty saved from a HOME defeat,lost against Paraguay and also Chile.The point is Brazil have lost their form and i think Brazil get too confident in some matches(NIGERIA 4-3 BRAZIL).And the italians did deserve to be european champions they were just unfortunate.

First of all ,we lost all 3 times because of penalty shootouts not in a 90 minute match and penalty shootout is a 50/50 luck thing .As for the euro2000 ,we lost because we didnt keep the ball long enough ,wich is our fault and that is probably the only game where i feel that we deserve to lose .The 3 others(1990,94,98) ,those games was just luck cause the penalties decided the match and not the 120 minutes that they played .

Well pablo when you try and not lose rather than go for a win see my examples you deserve to lose. I'm sorry but thats how I and most soccer neutrals feel.

And in all cases I've listed both Brasil and Italy deserved to lose.

Junhinio ,the defensive tactic does not mean that italy doesnt want to win ,its a tactic like any other tactics ,its just that you guys care more of teams scoring loads of goals .Why should Italy change tactics?Just to please the viewers ??Name me another team who can actually win games with Italy's tactic ???No one ,cause Italy is known for great defending and this tactic suits the defensemen pretty good .
