I just picked up Winning Eleven 7 for my computer.

Unfortunately the game crashes on EVERY penalty (and also when a game starts if I select the option to show the players entering the pitch from the tunnel).

I suspect it's a problem with my graphics card (GeForce 6800). Anyone else running WE 7 with this card?

PS - Are there any patches for this game? Any advice would be appreciated.

How does this crash happens? What messages appear? Try to be more specific.

I've tried both the 61.67 and 61.77 drivers.

The game just exits cleanly back to desktop. No error message. Not even a delay. I have tried all kinds of resolutions (both full screen and windowed).

The thing that sucks is that there doesn't appear to be any kind of official support for the game (other then calling a long distance number in the readme). The "official" support website has 17 answers all dealing with other games.

Crash happens EVERY time I foul the other team. It also crashes if I choose the option to watch the players walk out of the tunnel.

I deleted the cafe file. The game still crashes :(

Thanks for the suggestion though.

PS - What is the second disk for? I never used it during the install. Is that normal?

Fixed...

What I did was uninstall the game (including deleting the directory). Then I reinstalled the game and deleted the cafe file (before starting the game for the first time).

Thanks for the information all... :)

So what is the cafe file anyway? I get random crash to desktops every now and then so would removing the cafe file be a good choice for me?

cafe is an intro..whaen you have no enough video codecs in your system you will see only blank screen when run the game

about crashes after foul I think it's due patch you could install and exactly referee kit which could be in not properly format, that's why when referee is visible (only during players enter from tunel and after fouls and penalties) and kit should appear - it crashes
