Are we going to have those nasty, horrible metallic nets in fifa 2005???

also, anyone noticed if there is going to be a better shooting animation...not like in fifa 2004 were sometimes your players could shoot really hard by just putting his foot and letting the ball weirdly bounce

WE7I were good, WE8 are even better (from the videos i've seen), and Football kingdom looked really kewl....

how does this nets compare to WE8 and FK?

From the videos i saw until now i think we'll see a small improvement but not as good as it has to be, i mean, every year they improve a little bit all the things in the game(nets included) but they are still far from being completly realistic(Football Kingdom ones are the best example of how the nets should be in a football game ;) ).

I think we can only judge by looking at the movies. They seem a definite improvement over last year. The ball doesn't just stop dead but now rebounds more realistically. I still think it needs a little more buldge.

But if you watch the Premier League for example the nets are really tight and they just ripple just like they do in FIFA. Either way, from what I've seen in the movies it looks a lot better when someone has scored, not just the nets, but the celebrations, the crowd etc.

oh yes, believe me, it matters......its another detail, like if you played without crowd...

becuz of people thinking nets aren't important we get those crappy metalic nets, ea team won't take time to model the physics of the net the right way

Talking about the right way, the ref should go check the nets before starting the game. And we'll have a closer look too LoL

Yeah I thought the nets in the Arsenal - Milan video were a definite improvement. They still need improving more to match the standards of PES at least, but I think in FIFA 2005 they won't annoy me every time I score.

have you seen theirs?, they are the kind of goals you can move around, and the nets are tense, and look just like fifa 2004, only 2004 uses european style goals with american nets lol :crazyboy:

guys, those mistakes, errors, and failures of the FIFA games, is the things who give to the guys of this forum and of all forums of the FIFA community, work to fix that. The raptors, the faces, the 2g kits, the 2g balls, well, everything who these guys has making during the last year to make this game more enjoyable, realistic, and fantastic. If EA doesn't fix at all this nets, someone gonna make this!

Oh nets really suck in FIFA. And u think that FIFA developers can not make them better? U are wrong. Of course thaty can but they wont. LOL I even think Actua Soccer's nets are better. Other EA games like Maden, Basketball, Golf are great but they just wont make FIFA a great game. I would like it to became a great game but simply u just just feel emptiness in your heart when u score and that SUCKS.

thats true, therers no heart nor desire in that game....

lol, actua soccer, i used to play that game as well, i believe those nets were Better, LOL Fifa nets are completely ridiculous, they dont move at all, and the ball bounces like hitting a wall

for me personally the nets are as important as the ball or the crowd...

just watch football kingdom and compare its net animations with crap fifa ones and you see the difference..

i would also like when i make a low shot that the ball rolls up the net and dont come back in same direction.
