THE team that will win Italy-Holland, will win Euro 2000.
France will go to the Final because Portugal has only Figo and Rui Costa as very good player but Holland and Italy are bigger than it.

Portugal is much more than Figo and Rui Costa, I think we demonstrated that in the game against Germany, where we played with our "B" team. Saying we only have one or two good players is an old myth, just like the one where people keep saying we don't have any strikers, total nonsense.

Whether we win or lose vs. France, I'm satisfied with Portugal's performance in the tournament. I think we've proven we're not inferior to any team.

Every single player on that roster has done something to help their country reach the semi-finals. And considering that their B-Team defeated Germany, this IS a strong side. Guido I think the only reason you name Figo and Rui Costa is because those are the only names you could come up with ! Remember that Conceiçao scored a hat-trick to defeat Germany. That takes skill, especially in a powerful tournament like Euro 2000.

I'm sorry but you're wrong! When Rui COsta and Figo will leave football, there won't be others players like them.
If you take Costa and Figo from Portogallo, remain a team not very good.
And remain only a few yeas because Figo is 28 and Rui Costa 27.

What gets me is people like Guido talking about Portugal's future like they actually know something about Portuguese football. People who say we'll be nothing after Rui Costa and Figo are gone yet know nothing about our up and coming youth players. There are loads of young players in Portugal that are unkowns now, but in a few years will just as big as those Portuguese players that play in Serie A and Spain. Remember Figo, Rui Costa, Conceicao, etc were relative unkowns until they got the spotlight in the "big leagues" Remember these names....Litos, Paulo Costa, Delfim, Simao (already at Barcelona, the next Figo), Maniche, Lixa, Zeferino, etc. they'll be household names by 2004.

Although I'm always at this website reading posts,I don't usually interfere or even post many replies or topics, but after reading recent posts by KappA, I really got cheesed off at his attitude. I mean, why do you have to make a big fuss about homer and quiggy, and start criticizing people because they write things about Portugal that you dont agree with. Theres no rule saying you have to be nice, but at least respect other peoples opinion. You dont have to agree with them, but show some respect.

That's only a sample of the things he has said to me on this forum. Unfortunately the post has been deleted, but Homer posted a string of about 40 lines saying HORE HORE HORE over and over again for apparently no reason to another forum participant. So before you label me, please read and find out why I strike out at people like this.
