I have got admission in Kingston University and I'll be moving there on 13th of this month.
And the first thing i got to do as soon as I reach is buy a mobile phone with a connection.

I have been browsing this site since 2 days http://www.mobiles.co.uk/ and it doesn't really have any great offers.
I won't be making any local calls, only international calls.... so need advice regarding which connection should i buy - prepaid or 1 year contract billing connection...

thanks

1 year contract. You'll be paying at least £2 a minute for internationl calls on pre-pay. I suggest when you arrive here, go into the town centre and look for the following shops

- Carphone Warehouse
- The Link

Say your looking for a contract which will allow you too make allot of International calls for as cheap as possible. With contracts you can haggle with the sales men to. I got my phone (worth £300) for free because I pay £10 a month for insurance. Just try it on and if they say no, thats the worst that could happen

You're better off making international calls from a land line or even a phone box. Best thing to do is go into a hotal and ask to use their phone, they only charge you a small amount.
