I assume you know that a modified x-box can`t go online and use x-box live, therefore importing PES4 from Europe would be useless. Only if WE8I-USA for X-BOX is playable online then that is ok, or if they release PES4-USA for X-BOX.

Once again I say, you can go online with a modded X-box. You can switch it off. (depends on the chip) Just like PS2 which have chips like DMS3 which can go online by just switching it off. There some people over here who have a modded x-box and still go online.

we're talkin about usin a modded xbox to play a game from a different region online...

it's no use if you have a US system because once you switch the mod off, you can't use the import...

M$ simply made sure only the xbox version will be online...

pes4 = LIVE subscription seller.

If PES 4 supports system link you can go on-line that way. There is a little programma called Xlink Kai and fools the Xbox linking a local other Xbox, but in fact it links an Xbox on-line. So that may be the solution ;)

Is Xbox connect a similar program? Didn't know that one...
But playing using Xlink kai, you don't need live, correct? In that case you can play with a modded Xbox.

Yeah its a similar program, but i prefer this soft. (Ive a modded xbox too)

How do you install it? Do you need to write it to the HD of the Xbox or so? How do you activate it?

No just install it on your pc. Your xbox must be connected to your pc.

Does that mean you need ICS ?
My Xbox goes straight to my router-modem (one device).

If microsoft signed a exclusive online contract with konami it will be for 1 year at least for pc. I am sure that they want pes to go online for pc too. Cos now everybody will have buy a x-box and then next year they could share the sales of pc and x-vox. Cos pc will be superior due to patches and online and better graphics.

It's not what's superior, it's what sells.

I can almost guarantee you that the ps2 ver will be online before PC.

The next PC version will be out in Nov 2005. The next ps2 version will be out in August 2005...

Ach. Good news for the X-Box but I won't be rushing out to get one for the experience of playing PES4 online, as tempting as it may be.

Having played the X-Box with friends I just don't like it. The controllers are the worst I've ever used and for me the console just has too much going against it that even PES4 online can't overcome my dislike of the X-Box.

For now I'll have to stick to single player PES4 on the PS2, but until it's confirmed one way or another I'll live in hope that PES4 will still be online on the PS2.

You know, if it ends up not being online, but then Sony give Konami money to make an online version by Christmas I'd buy them both even if they're both the same.

It's a big coup for the X-Box, and a signal that Sony really have to pull their fingers out on their online policy.

i only have a ps2 for pro evo 3 n at gamestars live i actually played the game and there is a option for xbox live and u can play exhibition n penaltys

Yeah, we can start our own mega league with every team in the game taken by somebody. We can have a club and international league. When I get my new website in a few weeks I can host the league tables and the admin behind it.

Man, you know what? We've got enough people on here, we could easily simulate like 4 major european leagues, 2 division each and have a Champions league and the Uefa Cup, etc.
