With the Euro 2000 Final close, who will you support? Italy or France?

In my case, with Holland out, I can only say...

FORZA!!!

I like both teams in the final but I prefer France.

VIVA LA FRANCE!

I couldnt care less which team will win it, as long as it will be an open and attacking final with both teams going for it........

But that will not happen, so I guess one action from either Zidane or Del Piero will close the championships.

It will go on penalty shootout.

I would just like to say that Italy deserved to lose. No team that plays defense for 90 minutes and dives everytime they get the ball, ever deserves to win a game. (SEE NIKEFOOTBALL.COM)

I would also like to say that Italy's defense played ....... artisticlly (Cant believe I said that). Their defense always bent, but never broke. Cannavaro, Maldini, Nesta and Iuliano played magnificently and as usual Italy dived more often than an Olympic Swim Team. They may not have won the game, but they played better than Holland.

But Why .... WHY .... WAS ZENDEN AND BERGKAMP SUBSTITUTED???? Mendieta gets subbed, Spain misses a penalty. Now Zenden and Bergkamp are subbed and Holland go out 4-1 on PK kicks. Why didn't Davids or Seedorf take the penalties?? Betcha Rikaard regrets not taking Jimmy.

I have this feeling about Italy , its just their time (after being eliminated in PKs in the last 3 WC)but...if there'll be any fair winner during the 90 minutes, that will be France.

In my opinion, beating Holland with only 10 people has really increased the sex appeal of Italian culture...

I choose Italy since they managed to break down "Clockwork Orange"...(I didn't want them too, but they still did it nevertheless =)

Viva La Forzza (or something)

Voltaire ...... Italy did not break down the Clockwork Oranje .... they got lucky. Simple as that. If one of those PK's had gone in, Italy would be home, and there would be no Italian on this forum.

Ahhhhh ..... IF ... IF ..... IF .... I hate that word almost as much as "cute" and "lose"

Definitely France. Italy doesn't play football. Their game is as boring as a golf game. Their defensive football doesn't show any courage or iniciative. It may be efficient, but it's ugly. I'm sorry Italian supporters. I sincerely hope they play more open, like they use to do in Italia '90.

Woody...like they say, "the good teams make their own luck"...do not forget that Toldo was a superb keeper...and do not forget that Italy played with a mere 10 players...

Luck was on both sides to be honest...2 PK's in normal time, plus Zama-something being sent-off is quite lucky if you ask me...(it is debatable whether he should have been booked or not)(once again, luck was with Holland there)
In the end, only Italy was capable of converting their "luck" into a victory...

And another point (to whomever)...Italy plays defensively...that is another dimension of football whether it interests you or not...it might be boring, but defending takes a lot of skill to perfect that most people fail to appreciate...
