Hi guys!

Here are my PES3 compilations with some great goals and dribbles, members of pesfan.com have already seen this and liked it, hope You will too :)
Over 90% goals are scored on 5*, PC with keyboard, movies are in xvid (from 11-15 mb).

Please, put your comments (good or bad) here after watching:

My first compilation (including Maradona *hand of god* video!!):
http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded/PES3%20compilation%20by%20ge4ce.avi

Second compilation:
http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded/2nd%20PES3%20compilation%20by%20ge4ce.avi

Third compilation:
http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded/3rd%20PES3%20compilation%20%20by%20%20ge4ce.avi

EDIT (26.09.2004.):
Here is me playing PES3 in one 5 min. match (5*). It includes one half and some nice moves and goals from other Juve-Benfica matches. More info on 5th page of this thread.

http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded/PES3%20demo%20play%20by%20ge4ce.avi

I've downloaded some stadiums with edited nets (like Inter Milan etc.) and for others - I've just messed around with "WE PES Graphic Studio" and changed colours of some nets and posts :)
You can even change the colour of grass (H)

Oh man, these highlights makes me feel small:(. I assume you have played a LOT of matches to do such many different stuff.
It's sad I don't like to use analog stick thus I can't make that 360* turn u use so often (ummm, maybe too often if we're talkin realistic;)).
Btw, what do you use to host those videos? I can't find any free decent hosting server to put down my pes/we highlights.

I see cool stuff in time:
1:16 - 1:18

other valuable moments:
1:57-59 - Del Piero Special Lob
2:35 - pretty keeper fluke
2:48 - tunnel using Zidane Spin
2:53 - I love Barthez
3:13-14 - Hand of God

AAAAAAA
second movie:
00:17 ! that goal is possibly to perform, I'll post you link if I find it was one of proposal to goal of the month last month

Yeah, I like to play a lot - don't worry, You can play as I if You practice in training. Learn every move one by one in training and when feeling comfortable with them, play match on 1*, then 2* etc. and USE THEM. Don't worry if You can't do it everytime - I can't do it either non-stop. ;)

Too many 360s for Your taste ?? :D
I didn't done them all in one match, but I use them quite a lot because they are very effective as You can see.

Don't think so, because PES4 is almost here, but I will probably do PES4 compilations. Maybe I post in this thread some of my latest goals but not as a full compilation. Small chances for that, but you never know.

I don't want to force anything (don't want to just slam some average goals in one pile, put a music etc., it would be a disappointment after this 3 compos - it's hard to do better than this 3, at least for me, there's no new moves to do that, don't want to be repetitive).

Sorry then, obviously I get You wrong one part :(
And I don't think You are miserable in PES3, just trying to tell You some tips for the more complicated moves, not playing in general ;)
If You have something to teach me, please do, really, because I always try to learn new stuff to improve my playing experience.

About hosting: I forgot to tell You the whole thing, sorry - here it goes:

You can upload the here: http://www.softlab.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/upload.php

When its uploaded, it will go here: http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded/

After that, just put the name of your file after it, and it will work.

Example:

Have fun ;)

Firstly, IF You're referring to me, I didn't say I am better than You or anyone else here - I'm sure here are quite a lot of people who could beat me in PES3 and I could beat them too...

Secondly, You wrote:
"...cause u cant drible 3 players..."
Why did You wrote 3 players ?? - this was clearly focused on some of my dribbles and I then remembered this replay at 2:55 of third compilation, what else could it be (maybe some other replay)?

I often dribble 2 or sometimes even more players on 5* in a row, and I am not the only one who could do it - many players can do it, but it is hard to do it with style for me and for them. I just try cool moves more often than others and practice this moves more so I have more cool replays. That's it. No secret here.

And in my compilations are my BEST goals - I'm not scoring them in absolutely every game, but I can do it on purpose when I want (at least most of them - for long distance volleys need a little luck too).

Hope this makes things more clear ;)

I will try this program.
BTW, I've heard about it, but never used it - I thought that it is almost the same as fraps - so why download two? - Guess I was wrong, thanks! :)

Yeah, funny thing is that above this it says:
"Video upload - Maximum file size 20000000 bytes".

Almost all of the pesfan members are using it, and for now no problems! - but I don't guarantee anything.
BTW, I have 56k modem and I uploaded this files, so if You have fast connection it would not be a problem for You or anyone :)

Edit:
About size: beside the hdd space needed, there's other problem.
If I play i.e. 10 min match and make a compilation of this, even with good compression this would make a 25mb+ video file which is real pain in the *** to upload with 56k modem. :(

I think those rules refer to vide CLIPS, like those music CLIPS, because it's not alowed to share copyrighted material and it's pointless too, coz you can get those everywhere else. It would make no sense otherwise, becauze that page clearly says ''for videos''.

Yeah, agree with you there, I dribble through huge crowd of defending cpu's quite often on 5*, not only 2 or 3 players, but twice as much, but I have to admit that I mostly use R2(in various ways) and speed bursts. Never found a proper use of sidesteps except for showing off. Also 360 degree turn is closed for me as I like using gamepad, but I don't like analog stick thingie.

:) Ok, I agree, I can't replicate absolutely the same goal - actually I meant that I can score similar goal or do a similar dribble, but of course - not all of them.

Just wanted to say that I know how to do them and use them effectively (dribbles) - and I'm not doing them by accidentally pressing buttons on my keyboard. :) ;)

Hey Mayor (or anyone else who knows), I've tried taksi but for some reason it doesn't work with my PES3. :(
I've tried with some other games too and it works on most of games but not on PES3. It's a lot faster than fraps, but still it goes slower than normal game (probably slow computer).

Is there any other program like taksi (without in-game slowdowns)?
Thanks! ;)

Wouldn't know about that - I only play PES3 --> it was 1st for PC as far as I know.

But I actually heard/read somewhere that WE is easier than PES, don't know if that's true

I highly doubt that... it's like every time you did a 360º spin, the ball went through the player's legs... in WE7, every time you spin with a player in front of you, he'll get in your way and disposess you

Oh, you're mistaking my friend. In terms of dribbling we7int is much harder. And I think it's more challanging in general. I remember myself when I first tried it out. It was quite a frustration for me when I couldn't do some basic tricks which i used in pes3 with great success. Never the less, I never went back to pes3.
I don't know about those steppovers and 360 spins which I almost never use, but in pes3 you could dribble your way through just by walking sideways from a defender. Sometimes I dribbled past 6-8 opponents that way, even fooling some of them multiple times. In we7int too much dribbling isn't efficient, passing and good buildup is the answer, that's why most of my goals are usually result of a hard work. Maybe that takes away some enjoyment in terms of esthetics, but it's more realistic.

Maybe You're right, but You are forgetting one important thing - this goals and dribbles are my BEST and many times it happens even to me that defender knocks me down when I try 360 turn or some other dribble like You in WE (Try this moves more often and watch your timing, don't worry about the result - EDIT:
this is for complex moves in general, not for 360/tunnel which is much harder or better say mostly luck).

I use fancy dribbles many times, even if it costs me to lose a match (In the beginning it was often now it's really rare) and that's why I've done some 360+tunnel moves. I think this has nothing to do with game itself, my opinion is that what really matters is timing of a dribble (EDIT: again, not a 360/tunnel move - only complex moves in general) and, of course, if You don't use it You will never see it. Just try it more often ;)

As You know, this is not FIFA so You can't just press 360 in front of a player and to expect to work (EDIT: For me it worked only a few times in 10 months!! and these are in my compilations - 360/tunnel moves only) . Don't want that You now think that I teach You how to play, but when running towards player You must first see where is he going to tackle You (his interception route) and when You sense he will tackle You - then do 360 in appropriate direction (see my 2nd video at 2:00 and 2:32).

One more time, I didn't want to insult You or Your play, just trying to show You how I do it. Hope You don't mind :)

BTW, will try to ask my friend to borrow me WE, to try this moves - will post something after that.

In above post is just my OPINION, when I try it I will honestly comment on this matter here.

BTW, I don't know if this will affect me (difficulty of basic dribbling) because I don't use it so much anymore - much more I use stepovers+BFF.

The dibbling was meant in general...and i always hate the discussion who is the best...that is pointless unless we have online gaming...it wasnt meant personally on u:D :) ;)

this is for complex moves in general, not for 360/tunnel which is much harder or better say mostly luck).

I know what you mean, I often do the 360 spin when I see the defender tackling in one direction, so I go the other

I agree with You there, I hate too when someone claims he is the best in PES. No one can beat everyone all the time, must lose sometimes, no exception there. :)

Of course, that is something that all intelligent players do, observe and adapt the situation. Use Your imagination and skill to beat the opponent (sometimes even a little luck too :) ).

My favourite was in my first compilation at 3:18, when I instead of trapping the ball and shooting on goal, just jumped over the incoming pass to let the ball go in :D

Thank You, I'm glad You've liked it :)

Sound effects and music are intentionally done to match the replays; this all was done with fraps, virtualdub and cooleditpro...

And "thats gotta hurt" is not part of a song, it's a sound effect which is embedded into a music with cooleditpro ;)

Well, it's not easy do the compilations. Must have time to score some unique or amazing goals so I wouldn't be repetitive. I can do a compilation with goals which are simmilar with those of the previous replays, but as I said - don't want to be repetitive with the same type of goals. And there's no new moves to do something special, so I must wait for PES4. :(

And I don't have time because I started working a few days ago - must get there in 1,5 hour and will be home after 10 pm. Free only sundays. :(
I'm a student too, so there's very little time for me to do it.
If I find some time, maybe I do a short one ;)

BTW, nice one about You and Your boss (H)

yup, I really would like to see more compilations by you. Well if you don't much time to do the goals I won't mind sending some of mine. (Though I play WE/PES on the PS2)
But I might get a WE for the PC to make screenshots and stuff of a "project". So I might do some goals.;)

Not only I haven't got time to score goals (but I already have some that I scored after my third compilation) I don't have time to make a quality compilation (with sound effect, matching music and other stuff). If I do it, it will probably be some great goals with simple music. But for PES4 - it will probably be something better (and, of course, not before I master PES4).

Maybe I try to do something this weekend, don't promise anything. ;)

BTW, why don't You do a compilation too? - I would like to see what You've got, and anybody else here as well...

I'm sure somebody here got something that is unique, amazing or fun from PES3, just put it together in a compilation so everybody can enjoy here - and watch your camera angle for better effect ;)

How come You didn't see this on upload page (http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/upload):

"Video upload"

and

"Maximum file size 20000000 bytes"

You can only upload files up to 20mb and it must be .avi or similar video format file, not .rar file.

And follow my instructions:

Upload the .avi here (up to 20mb): http://www.softlab.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/upload.php

When its uploaded, it will go here: http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded/

When You go to this page, You will see some crazy text on this page, this is normal, just put the name of the uploaded file with the extension AFTER the "http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded/"

Example:

When You do that, copy this link into i.e. some new text file from where You can always copy/paste it here on the forum.

And I think that the name of Your compilation will not be listed on the main page, mine is not as far as I know and it still works - only thing that matters is that You must upload it and remember/copy the link with Your filename. Then just put this link here on the forum.

Please split Your compilation in more parts so that the filesize will be max. 20 mb (because some of the users have 56k modem :( ).

EDIT: on upload page is small text which says (i think):
"Waiting for file"
When it changes to "file sent" the file is definitely uploaded and it is there, doesn't matter if it's on the list or not, You just need to create a link as explained above.

I can't do compilation cause I play my WE/PES on the PS2 and I don't have an Xport. I got lots of goals by my memory card is sooo full I have to delete them to give way for my WE8 stuff. I used to have WE6/PES2 goals by had to delete them. Now I have some WE7IJ goals left, nomore PES3(Might have to delete them soon). And of course WE8 goals. Can't save all of them cause I have two memory card.(One of them is by bro's) I only play the hardest difficulty. Playing 6stars. I never played 1 star before. Not even on my first match on each series. I will go to the most difficult level since I've been playing the WE/PES series since on the PS. So I'll doubt I can upload any goals. As some of You requested, here is video of me playing PES3 with Benfica against Juventus in ML on 5* in away match. Of course, this is not a real Benfica, it's full of great players - this is my "exhibition" ML team, just for show-off and my personal enjoyment (because almost all players have BFF ability which is essential for stepovers/BFF move).

It shows one half of 5 min. match + few best moves and goals from other Juve-Benfica encounters (This was created today, I played about 5 matches and picked the nicest first half and other great moments).

Sorry about the quality of video, but the video length is about 5 min. and because I have 56k modem and very little time I tried to make it as small as possible (12mb).

Note that this video is captured with FRAPS which (on my computer) created very irritating stutter problem while playing and recording (which only affects gameplay, but not video recording problems, so video is, luckily fine) and because of that I couldn't play 100% as I can, but it is good anyway I think (I've tried taksi but it doesn't work on my computer with PES3).

Here is the link (xvid, 12mb, 4:47 min.):

Oh yeah, I watched that last gameplay footage of your's. The steppower and BFF combo thingie you've mastered to the perfection. Almost looks boring.:) I have to work on that coz I really never use steppovers, I ussually forget about them when in action and use the good old R2 a lot.
One thing though. I don't want to sound like a jelous kid, but that Juve defense was craptastic. I don't remember playing against such loosy defence against top noch team even in exhibition. I haven't played pes3 for a 6 months since I got we7 int.
I'd like you to try it, play ML a little bit and tell me what you think coz I'm really not sure if it's only me or it's really tighter in we7int. One thing's for sure, I could dribble more free in pes3. I'm not talking about fancy stuff you did so often in those videos, but simple ''pull the ball away'' dribbling was simpler.
Videos are great though. I'm not that good at dribbling, I admit.

Believe me, I have a couple of friends of mine who played against this Juve and they often lose or have trouble scoring goals (maybe they just play bad :D). If You watched my last movie You've probably noticed that I play very aggressive defence and attack a lot and that's the reason the Juve defence looks poor. Add here my dribble skill and You can see way they look like crap. But it's also noticeable that not all of my dribbles was successful. And Yes this Juve defence have one player that is not so good, but it is not my problem they bought it and put him in starting line-up (this is ML and CPU players buy and sell players too). :)

Must try WE7int. ASAP :) ;)

Upload the file, when ''file sent'' appears, it's there for sure.
Now, when you want to post the link to it just use the same url http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded and add the exact name of the uploaded file so it looks like this http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded/goal.avi.

I've finally tried WE7Int. (played for a few days intensively) and in my opinion, there is no mayor difference between WE7Int. and PES3 in terms of gameplay. Normal dribbles (dir. key dribbles) are maybe slightly harder (but only slightly), but advanced dribbles (stepovers, BFF, 360s...) are even a little easier IMO. Defenders are, maybe, a little smarter - they don't rush so much on attackers, but they still look stupid when I use my dribbles, as in PES3. Not even sure about this - the difference is so small that is impossible to tell whether the game is harder or even easier? Honestly, I've expected a harder game from PES3, but it just feels the same I'm afraid.

To prove it, I have scored some goals using advanced dribbles, for which some of You said that it's very hard to effectively use them in this game (as opposed to PES3). It is not by a long shot. It is at least the same IMO.
One of the best of them is here:
http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/pub/Uploaded/WE7Int%20Triple%20dribble%20by%20ge4ce.avi

This goal is scored in ML, again my favourite Benfica team (because of BFF ability of most of the players), 5* difficulty, WE7Int, in first minute of the game (straight after the kick-off). As You can see, it's impossible to see from this replay in what game that goal was scored. If someone doesn't believe, I can send him copies of original PC replay files on e-mail (It's two replay files from same action connected together). No problem there.

BTW, only real difference that I've really noticed is that the game stutters more than PES3 and it is awfully unstable, it crashed my computer regularly and even messed up my ML save file so I lost my Benfica team just a couple of hours ago :f***: . And now I have to start all over again. But no, will play PES3 until PES4 arrives. Hopefully soon. :)

Cheers! ;)

Mmm, yes, I watched the video, ge4ce. Your dribbling skills are sure superior then mine. I never got a hunch on those both foot fakes you use so often. Usuallu when I try those on my Trustmaster gamepad I either fail to push the directional buttons quickly and precise enough, or manage to do it, but at the wrong time. Not even talking about stepovers which I don't use at all.
The most common method I use for dribbling past the oponent is just pushing R2 at the right time for either dragging the ball sideways or pushing it 45 degrees forward. A conventional dribble, but quite often I manage to dribble through 6-7 defenders(some of which I dribble twice or even three times in one dribble:D) that way.
Fast change of direction is the key word for me.
Would be surely interesting to play with you online. Hope we will somwhere in future.;)

For BFF You must know some very important things (I'm sure You know some of them):

If You go i.e. from left to right with Sheva, BFF dribble is done by double tapping "up" on PS2 d-pad (while holding dir button right).

Note this too:
--------------------------------------------
If player is going from left to right AND is rightfooted You must double tap "up" - like Sheva

If player is going from right to left AND is rightfooted You must double tap "down"

If player is going from left to right AND is leftfooted You must double tap "down"

If player is going from right to left AND is leftfooted You must double tap "up"

And, of course, player must have BFF ability star.

This way, BFF must work everytime, try in training until You can do it all the time ;)

If You want to do it with stepovers, just double tap L1 and then BEFORE player performs the move completely, do the BFF as described above.

Hope this helps. If You have any other questions feel free to ask ;)

BTW, I would like to play with You, but as You know, I have only 56k modem - to slow I guess :(
Maybe in some near future, I hope.

i wanna know, when ur running straight, how do u push the ball ahead like when u use r1 and r2 on an anlge run
i wannan know how to do it on a straight run

As I know, You can do that only by first doing the angle run, and then just continue your angle run but this time do it straight (just continue holding r1 r2 buttons and change direction with d-pad/dir. keys while holding this buttons).

Hope that helps ;)

EDIT:
There is a simmilar move to this one, when running straight i.e. left to right with r1, keep tapping the dir key right instead of just holding it - the player will push the ball ahead a little.

i know that move. unless you have big space in front of you its useless because you seem to lose ballcontrol..

That's true. It is best used on the wings and, as you wrote, when there is a big space in front of you...

Dragback?

Do the sidestep with R2 and directional button and while the player is doing this move, just leave everything and then hold directional button "back".
Directional button "back" is always opposite direction of the player facing.
So, if you're doing sidestep and your player is faced torwards right goal, then hold "left" on d-pad.
