Hi guys I'm here to offer you a new font for FIFA 2005 (I don't know if I'm the first one, but I think I'm quite a pioneer anyway!).

New AC Milan font (home and away), with and without wrinkles, as you prefer!

I suggest to install the golden one in font #1 place; so just extract the file playerkittexobj.texobj463104248046875__texture0474 54833984375__1.fsh from zdata02.big without decompressing it using EA Graphics Editor, open it with fshtool, replace 0000.bmp and 0000a.bmp with mines and rebuild all... I mean double click on index.fsh in the directory where you extracted 0000.bmp and 0000-a.bmp, then import the updated fsh file in zdata02.big again with EA Graph.
Same thing for away font (the red one) that you can install in the file playerkittexobj.texobj463104248046875__texture0474 54833984375__8.fsh from zdata06.big.

So have fun, and please, if some mate wants to take some screenies of the font ingame I would be pleased with that, cause I haven't time for this as well!

You mean it's too light? I think the only improvement could be to bring nearer 2 digit numbers, but I think it's impossible cause the horizontal spacing can't be adjusted, since characters must fit in a specific area...

It's true, cos 0000-a.bmp is a 24-bit image. Simply convert it to greyscale (8-bit) with your graphic editor! :)

May i know what programs you used to make those fonts? And can you make the premiership fonts without the premiership symbol at the bottom of the font... Arsenal and Newcastle used that font during UCL and UEFA Cup.

I simply use a graphic editor! When I have also a ttf file of the font I write the numbers as text in the photo editor and I work on them to fit the right size!

Well Boswell, unfortunately I don't have time to write a tutorial on making numbers... The only secret I can tell (just because there aren't any other secrets!) is you have to work on big numbers and then resize them to small dimensions.

For your scottish league numbers there are two problems:
1) Since I don't know them (I've never seen on TV in Italy!) I need all the characters screenies (from 0 to 9);
2) It could be possible that in the final game there are already your numbers!

So for now I'd wait and see...

Speaking about Scotland...
Tomorrow evening I'll be able to watch Celtic Glasgow numbers, as I'll be in San Siro seeing AC Milan-Celtic! :p

Numbers fonts must be copied in the directory created by the extraction of the fsh files. The fsh files are stored in zdataXX.big files.
To change name color you have to edit "namecolor" column in the table "teamkits", using unidb from fifa ecp...

Is there a chance to get new Numbers into the game? Cause i'm playing with Aue and this Team has Generic Numbers i think. Now i want to import my Numbers. But how?

Well first of all nearly all the teams in Fifa 2005 (except from english teams using EPL font) actually have a generic font.
So if you wanna add your custom font to the game I suggest you to import it in the file zdata10.big, with an ID number bigger or equal to 291. In fact in this way you won't overwrite any of the existing generic fonts in Fifa 2005, cause all the slots for fonts from 291 to the end are empty. After importing the font you will have to edit the database with UNIdb to link your team to your font.

To import an fsh file containing a font just follow the step-by-step guide I posted at the beginning of this thread!

Where in the table should i insert the Number? table_teamkits -> Kitfont? But there are only Numbers from 0-10. But there should be Numbers above 10!?

You should use the other column (I don't remember the exact name) where you find id numbers very high (I mean hundreds). For example for Arsenal (id 1) the font number is 221. Find that column and put in 500 or 501. The same thing must be done for shorts numbers. There's another column similar to the jerseys' one you have to edit. Be careful that shorts numbers template is different from jerseys' one!

I found the column and for the Away-Kit the Numbers work. But for Home i get the Adidas Numbers. Don't know how to fix! I use the Numbers 440 for Away and 441 for Home.
At my big files there playerkittexo... above 291 but all with the same numbers!

Yes I know the numbers are all the same from 291 on. That's the reason for they are ready to be overwritten by new fonts...
For the problem on the home kit I would suggest you to do like in the away case! It's all I can say...:(

You have to use UniDB from www.fifaecp.com. After converting the database (which is the file in data/com/fe/fifa.db) in a .mdb file you have to open this file, go to the table "teamkits" and search for the colums metioned in the quote above. You just have to replace, on the line for real madrid (243), current numbers in these columns with new ones. You have to put 243 for the black rm font and 244 for the white one. Then reimport the database into the game always with UnidB.

to rvdv: just edit the numbers in the columns "doubledigitjerseyfontsize" and "jerseyfontsize" for kits and "shortnumberfontsize" for shorts.
I suggest the following values for all teams:

doubledigitjerseyfontsize: 50
jerseyfontsize: 50
shortnumberfontsize: 13

to chinomj: the image is good, post me or email me a larger one if have. Then a photo with 3 could be useful...

To tevez: I'm planning to make barca font by now. To install fonts I can't explain better than how I did in the last posts in this thread... It's just the same as importing any other image in a fsh file. Read the step by step process at the beginning of the thread and then read the answers to the questions posed before.

Here I come with a font suitable for at least 3 teams: Fiorentina, Lecce and Anderlecht. I'm posting only the relevant colours. For black and white just use a 0000.bmp file from the last font packages.

Fiorentina violet (33) with wrinkles

Lecce yellow (6) with wrinkles (the devil is a 6!)

Lecce red (20) with wrinkles

Fiorentina (and Lecce) alpha file

Fiorentina violet (33) with wrinkles for shorts

I actually don't use photoshop, but it must not be a difficult thing. Go in the menu to change image properties data type, converting from 24 to 8 bit (greyscale). I can't say more...

just change it into index is ok

Hey, i got some problem with the fonts.
I installed succesfully 4 fonts, Nike black(291), Nike yellow(292) and Nike white(294). Now when i change the ID on Inter Milan(44) for the fonts the yellow for the third kit and the white for the home one work fine, however when i change the ID of the away and keeper kits for the black font all them turn black though the IDs are correct. I got the same problem with Umbro's font on Celtic i installed Umbro black(304) and Umbro white(305), i change the IDs on Celtic, i changed the ID for the away one to 305(the white one), it works, but when i change the ID for the home and keeper to 304(the black one) they all look black. Also when i'm playing with a team that use installed fonts, the keeper's font will be the same one of the field players font, though they're not supposed to and in KitRaptor they look fine.
How can i solve the problem?

When you go to the My Fifa menu. You can click on the bottom and restore default rosters. Try that.

Are you sure that is related to the fonts not being shown properly? 'Cuz i think you mean the numbers of the players and actually i mean the fonts not being shown properly not that the players don't have the number that they should.

Yeah Real Madrid fonts are there 243-244 also 245-246 and the white is from 292-??? but they don't look as good, and who knows why Real Madrid doesn't have those already.:confused:

Hi mates. Your problems, as far as I know, are without solution for now. If you don't want to experiment font swaps in game, just use original positions (ID numbers) to add new fonts, overwriting fonts with unuseful colors... :(

I would like to know how exactly I can install a new font. I overwrite a font to an ID bigger than 291, I associated the font to a team (using CC2005) but in the game appears (on the back the the players) the background of the image. I don't know how to apply the transparency on the image font (to import on the fsh file).
I really apreciate if someone could help me.

Hello folks, after a long break I found some time to finish Barca font!
To install fonts use fifaFS. It's a great tool and you won't have problems of font swapping anymore. See the posts before to find a link to download.

So here it is.

Here's a step by step guide to install fonts.
Let's install, for instance, AC Milan fonts (the golden for home and the red one for away kit).
I suggest to install them with these IDs:

Gold: 349
Red: 350

Both this font IDs can be found in the file zdata10.big in Fifa 2005/data directory. So go extracting 4 files:

Jersey's numbers:

playerkittexobj.texobj463104248046875__texture0474 54833984375__349.fsh

playerkittexobj.texobj463104248046875__texture0474 54833984375__350.fsh

Shorts' numbers:

playerkittexobj.texobj463104248046875__texture5455 322265625__349.fsh

Extract them with EA Graphics Editor (it doesn't matter if you decompress them or not).
Then open the fsh files with fshtool. Doing so will create a folder for each file, named as the file itself.
You'll find 3 files in each folder:

0000.bmp -> it's the coloured file with numbers

0000-a.bmp -> it's the alpha file (black and white)

index.fsh -> a generated file with info on the fsh file

Replace 0000.bmp and 0000-a.bmp with AC Milan ones. For example for golden numbers use the files [Milan oro 9 con pieghe] 0000.jpg and [Milan] 0000-a.jpg. Remember to convert jpg files into bmp files before the replacement!

After that double click on index.fsh (opening it with fshtool again) to export the data back from the folder to the fsh file.
Now you have the updated fsh file.

Do this for all the fonts you need to update (the same work must be done for jersey numbers and shorts numbers).

Now you should have 4 update fsh files in Fifa 2005/data folder, right?

To import them back to zdata10.big you must use fifaFS.
To do this first copy the following text in a new txt file:

Call this txt file "installnumbers.txt".

Then create another txt file called "install.txt" and copy inside it the following text:

fifafs.exe installnumbers.txt

Rename this file as "install.bat".

Now we have gathered all the ingredients to install the new numbers. In Fifa 2005/data directory you should now have the following files:

Double click on the file install.bat and it's done!

The last step is to run CC, open the AC Milan window, go on "Kits" and change the field "Jersey No. color ID" to 349 for home kit and goalkeeper kit and to 350 for the away kit and the third kit. Then for the shorts go down to the field "Short No. color ID" and to the same thing as for jersey.
Save and the work is done!

Here's a font used by some Lotto and Asics teams, such as Chievo Verona and Atalanta in Italy, but very similar also to Shakthar Donetsk's font.
I'm posting you the alpha files, which must be matched with 0000.BMP files of the color you prefer (see backwards to find some).
