View Full Version : Was Frisk Drunk?

It has been rumoured from several sources that Anders Frisk was under the influence of alcohol while officiating at the ROMA-Kiev game.An empty bottle of cognac has been recovered in Frisk's locker room and the doctor who visited Frisk at Gemelli Hospital confirmed that Firsk was drunk and the injury was very very light (at most it required a bandaid). The doctor (and AsRoma) requested a blood test for alcohol but Frisk refused (in Italy due to privacy rules, you cannot order a blood test if the person does not agree). This radio station reports that some players during the match noted the fact and also that the linesmen before the match asked Frisk "do you feel sick?".

Unfortunately, without the evidence of a blood test, this will serve no purpose in tomorrow's disciplinary hearing for ROMA.It does explain his erratic refereeing and his subsequent disappearance since the game.Apparently, seeking refuge at the seaside.
I have heard of people taking a 'small' glass to find courage, though to finish the bottle is quite absurd.Maybe,UEFA should introduce blood tests for refereees as well as players.I just wonder how UEFA(if they find out)will treat Frisk in future. It certainly dents his reputation.

some new late breaking developments in the was "frisk drunk case" are beginning to unfold....our good friends at getty images have provided some controversial pictures of frisk during the roma-kiev match last week

when interviewed frisk was quoted as saying..."what happened to my bottle" and "i don't remember saying that"

after being cleaned and bandaged up, reporters caught up with frisk again and he replied "those damn romans sure know how to make a bottle of cognac"...when the reporters told him the bottle he had wasn't made in rome he said "oh well, **** happens....cheers"

and always with the open collar shirts and making such a scene when he gives cards.

Hes a fool.

Apart from Rosetti, Paparesta (took a big hit last yr with Milan/Empoli) and Collina, Italian refs arent that great either.

(just to prove im not bias)

A ManU vs. Bayern Munich argument. That's like arguing who was a nicer guy - Stalin or Hitler?

Well Stalin DID kill 20 million of his own people.

It may have been a minor cut but just think about it, it could of been worse if it was a different object. :o

just today i was walking home and part of a four wheel drive's engine blew and broke off and some how left the underside of the car and made a scratch on its side and clipped me on the leg :(

it was just a minor cut from quite a force and object but just think, if it got me in the face, or chest it would have been worse. The incident with Frisk could have been a lot worse off than it has panned out to be is my point :)

my mate was walking with me when that happened :o
